My experience in the last few years has been that any gift card offer the other stores put out, amazon matches. I wish there was one for the Fire. Yesterday they announced all the new apps for it, including netflix and pandora among a bunch of others and it would be nice to put a gift card on it.

If you want to return the amazon without them charging you shipping, the only way is to refuse the package. If you keep it and then call for a return authorization and there is nothing wrong with it, they will charge you to ship it back. Just a thought.

Since they officially announced yesterday the Fire tablet will have Netflix among several other highly sought after apps, they put the best tablet in their ad. THe fire is a really good deal.

It's the kindle basic with special offers. It's the same price it is all the time on amazon. They don't discount kindles ever. The kindle fire is also same price it is now on preorder.

Exactly. Our Walmart took out the gun sales completely. There isn't a walmart anywhere near me with guns.

We put ours up the second week of December. It's live and would be a fire hazard to put it up earlier, plus I get sick of it by the day after xmas I take it down.

On amazon kindle forums, some posters report the kobo doesn't have a good selection of books with borders closing. It is best used in Canada, but not here.

Last year my daughter wanted a camo bedding set that was in the ad. I called cabelas.com and they told me that they are a different entity. The ads are store only, but if I called on that day, they would honor the price in the flyer. I remember you were not sure about the fire or nook. One thing they have mentioned on kindle forums that some nook lovers might not know. The storage space on the nook , may be more, but all but 1 gb is reserved for barnes and noble content only. You can't buy a game or movie someplace else and put it on there if it's over 1gb. They don't have a cloud storage, I guess teh 12 gb is it. It makes it much less attractive for a lot of people discussing it.

I understand that. My husband is construction also. Luckily he's been with the same company almost 20 years and runs the jobs so they keep him working all year. He has had a few weeks off lately . 3 years ago I started putting money into a christmas club at the bank. If you are willing to pay 98, you'd be much better off buying the kndle fire for 199, with a far superior product. If you break it amazon overnights you a new one and gives you a month to return the old one. The 198 Vizio on walmart gets ok reviews but has half the storage. Anything cheap is going to be crap.

I still do the under the tree stuff and we put out cookies and my youngest is 14, my oldest 26.No presents allowed opened until then. I do put a book or pajama item under the tree they can open christmas eve.

They are always on sale somewhere . Lots of variables, like the lining, quilted, flannel, blanket lined, etc. Farm sales sometimes have them half off during xmas. I got one 2 years ago for my stepgrandpa for 29.99 . My youngest got his first brown stonewashed one when he was 2. I paid 45.00 for it. My husband has one to match. When they outgrow them, I buy new ones. The last ones were Dickies because they were identical to the carhartt ones, but cheaper. Got them on clearance for 22.00 shipped. I bought 5 sets of coats and coveralls. Even me and my daughter have them.

I buy mine on clearance at shopko. Got the 60.00 one for 30 there last year. I also watch the amazon clearance toy site. They get some of the old ones there. Last year Walmart and Kmart had a big one at xmas on special for 15, it wasn't huge, but the right size for my 8 gs.

Those are the ones my family all has, only we have the stonewashed colors with blanket lining. About 80.00

A leaked ad on here states is will be 249 to try and get some of amazon's market. Amazon customers still feel the new Silk browser on the amazon fire is more advanced and it is a much better unit. I am sticking with amazon because of their wonderful customer service. If you break your kindle they overnight you a new one and give you 30 days to return the old one.
