  1. Happy September! Kids are back in school, with my oldest away at college for the first time, so a huge adjustment in our home. My youngest boy just got his driver's license a couple of days ago. And my 13 year old daughter, my National Team luge athlete, has six weeks of training scheduled for this winter. We are busy!!
  2. Happy August! This year is flying! My oldest is a college freshman this year, attending Temple University, and his move-in date is in two weeks. Will be looking for some bargains to finish up any last minute shopping we need to do, but for the most part, we're all done!
  3. Checking in for June! Busy month. My oldest graduated from high school on the 2nd, and then on the 4th, he, his girlfriend, and two other friends flew to Florida to stay with my BFF for a week to celebrate. My youngest turns 13 on June 19, and she and I leave that day to drive to Iowa (from PA), for her to compete in USAG Trampoline and Tumbling National Championships for the week. She will miss her luge summer training in order to go to Iowa, but luge will still be there, so it is what it is. My middle goes to Boy Scout camp for a week, also leaving on June 19. Then by July, everyone here will have taken their vacation, and summer is essentially over, lol. Happy summer!
  4. Happy May!! It's been an interesting day. My daughter found out that she was reselected for the USA Luge Jr. National Development Team for the 2022-2023 season, and my youngest son dislocated and broke a finger in gym class today, and will need to follow up with an orthopedist. Ugh. And my oldest graduates from high school one month from tomorrow, and accepted his admission into Temple University's Honors program. It's going to be a crazy month, I think!
  5. Ha, I won't do that, lol. I'm old enough to be aware of my own mortality, lol...
  6. I agree! It's one of only 2 luge tracks in the US, and seeing as Germany has like 5, it would definitely be a shame to watch either the SLC or LP track fall into disrepair.
  7. Currently waiting to board a plane in Denver, after spending 10 days in Park City, Utah, while my daughter competed in Youth Nationals for USA Luge. She placed 5th on Saturday, and 4th on Sunday. Happy Match!
  8. Happy February!! I'm so glad January went by so fast! My daughter is a national athlete, so we just returned from ice cold Lake Placid after a week of training, followed by the Empire State Winter Games, where she placed 3rd in her age division. We are off to Park City, Utah in 2.5 weeks for Youth Nationals. I need some good deals on warmer winter outerwear, for sure!!
  9. Happy New Year!! Happy to see 2021 leave, and for one last kick in the ass, it took Betty White, too. [emoji26]
  10. Woo-hoo, I remembered, lol. Merry Christmas everyone! See you in January!!
  11. I hate that BF has changed so much now, because my daughter was too young to experience it in the way my boys did, so this year is her first year going with me. The ads I've looked at so far (GameStop and Target), don't say what time they're opening. Is there a listing of store operating hours for tomorrow? My oldest is looking to go to Kohl's, JCPenney, FYE, Barnes and Noble. I'm thinking mall anchors will be open before our Mall's posted opening time of 9 am. Thanks!
  12. Let's see if I can remember every month this time...I only remembered in 2018, lol
  13. I like car chargers, insulated tumblers or mugs, and my favorite kind of mug is one of those extra large cappuccino mugs, so I have room for extra creamer, lol...
  14. Not sure if I posted for December or not, and I literally *just* remembered, lol...under the wire...
  15. December 1st...waiting on our first winter storm...blah...but my kids will be happy!
  16. where did you see it for $47? Considering I pay $60 every year, I'd like to get in on that deal!
  17. Thanks, Brad!! I have a few tshirts now, so I'm thrilled to get some new stuff!
  18. Target: Marvel Upright Arcade Cabinet $249.99 Best Buy: Samsung streaming 4K UHD blu-ray player $149.99 JBL Charge 4 portable bluetooth speaker $99.99 Linksys Velop Tri-band mesh wi-fi system 3 pack, $279.99 Shark Navigator Pet Pro bagless pet upright vacuum $129.99 Walmart: Hover 1 All Star hoverboard $89
  19. I'm back in after missing out this year...woot!
  20. So my brother emailed me and said our mom wants a TV for her bedroom that can be mounted to the wall, so I'm looking for a 32" TV. I saw 2 in the BB ad, one was an LG for $99, and the other a TCL with built in Roku for something like $129. My brother says the Roku isn't a big deal, since their other TV has built in Roku that they don't use. So I'm leaning toward the LG, because I know they make a quality TV, and I've never heard of TCL. But I'm also finding that looking for a 32" TV on sale for BF is like looking for a needle in a haystack, because apparently I'm the only one who wants one, lol...anyway, I know both are only 720, but my brother says that's what she has now, so she's not going to care about that. Anyone have any experience with TCL, and specifically if it would be better than the LG?
  21. I'm going to need one of these, too...the only deals I've seen are on the 3 month ones, which once you buy 4 of them to cover 12 months, it's the same price as if you'd bought the 12 month one anyway...
  22. this is exactly the one he wants...we tried to try it out in BB, but apparently someone got hurt trying it out at some BB, and they pulled them from ALL BB trial areas, so we can't even try it before we buy it...and my understanding is that this is the newest one, so it's not likely to be on sale, but I thought maybe someone would have like a gift card incentive to buy it there...
  23. https://www.amazon.com/Set-Friendship-Lamps-Filimin-Classic/dp/B07NF2Z192 I would love a pair of these for my best friend and I. We live 1,400 miles apart and don't get to see each other often, and these would certainly make us feel closer!
