If I'm at Walmart or Meijer, I'm chatting with those around me in line. If we're after different things, we can often help each other with locations and/or grabbing said other items. Since I shop solo, making "friends" with those around me can be vital to getting everything on my list.

I can't stream stuff at work (boo hiss) but I did get the email that the event was live, if that helps.

This year, turns out I'll be headed to my best friend's place to hang out after the shopping's done (she doesn't do mornings due to various health issues). She's going to be around and, with me having the day off, perfect time to have some girl time. Maybe we'll hit a movie or something.

Brad's got all the details but if I recall correctly, database corruption occurred while daily backup was underway, leading to the lost posts. Technology... Great when it works. lol

Call customer service? Might have to verify identity (thoroughly), but they may be able to give you your card number? (Thinking I do that with other store cards I've inadvertently been without.)

Got an email from them this morning - everything will be buy 3/get3 mix and match.

I literally did recon in several stores, looking at the same models, to see how the picture looked on the TVs, for exactly the reason you state. I got lucky at BB, as there was another couple there actually planning on purchasing a TV that night and they had a sales guy get some actual content up from a USB stick he had. I stuck close to observe. Not quite actual streaming, but far better than the stock demos they run on most TVs. You can read all the reviews you want (and they do have very good information) but it really comes down to what you like best for your specific situation (as I'm sure you well know). If you're not in a rush, hold off for now, keep doing more recon, and wait for the sales in January after CES. You might get an even better deal than you can this weekend on a great set that will tick all the boxes for what you're looking for.

Got my Onkyo receiver ordered this morning (finally back in stock). Will be shipped to me early next week. Staying up tonight for the sake of a few other things I can't yet get at BF prices.
