  1. Buy, then win a spare!
  2. Hopefully folks can chime in with some they've tried, but here's search results for "vegan cookies" on allrecipes.com https://www.allrecipes.com/search/results/?wt=vegan%20cookies&sort=re Looks like there could be some tasty ones there.
  3. I threw a fudge recipe in with my stack of cookie recipes over in that thread if you're interested...
  4. Let's see... Where do I start? My go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10813/best-chocolate-chip-cookies/?internalSource=hub%20recipe&referringContentType=Search&clickId=cardslot%203 White chocolate macadamia nut cookies (always a hit, straight from the back of the Mauna Loa mac bag): http://wegottaeat.com/comparts4less/recipes/mauna-loa-white-chocolate-chip-cookies Oatmeal PB choc chip cookies: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/15466/oatmeal-peanut-butter-and-chocolate-chip-cookies/ I modify this one a bit as follows: - Increase PB to 3/4 cup - Milk instead of water - Additional ~1/4 cup each of flour and oats (to soak up the extra PB) - Mini chocolate chips (reg size ones overwhelm the PB flavor too much) NOTE: This dough is the consistency of thick frosting when made correctly. Don't let that scare you! Chocolate Candy Cane Kiss cookies: https://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/fiesta-fudge-cookies/6889925a-e218-445e-b73b-b597f38802a7 I just sub in the Hershey's Candy Cane kisses for the regular Hugs Snickerdoodles (a family & friends fave around here): https://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/christmas-snickerdoodles-cookie-exchange-quantity/7dadf770-cd0f-4e07-b57d-98da04463514 Lemon Sparkle Cookies: https://www.geniuskitchen.com/recipe/lemon-crinkle-cookies-473806 I modify slightly as follows: - Double amount of zest - Double amount of lemon juice - Roll in regular sugar (instead of confectioners) for a bit of sparkle Not a cookie recipe, but everyone goes nuts for this triple layer fudge I make: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/18390/mint-chocolate-fudge/ The beauty of this one is you can turn the middle layer pretty much any flavor you like. Doesn't have to be mint. I've turned it strawberry, cherry, or raspberry in recent years, all to good reviews.
  5. ...And yet we'll buy them anyway... Not weird at all... Lots of us stock up on the litter every year. So great to not worry about buying any for a whole year!
  6. Got my shirt from my contest win Saturday! Thanks, Brad!
  7. We actually aren't allowed to have real trees in my apartment complex (fire hazard), so I'm stuck going the artificial route. At least that means I don't have to run out to get a tree every year, though, or worry about my cats knocking it over and spilling water all over on top of it (though they do still manage to topple my little 4' tree every once in a while). I try to get mine up Thanksgiving weekend but it all depends on whether I'm at home or not.
  8. That's my whole thing too, Peppermint. I don't want to lease my phone. Hate that so many deals are contingent on leases now.
  9. If he's just bought a gaming PC and he's still looking at a dedicated graphics card, he's likely going to be very particular about which one he gets. These are rarely cheap buys (cheapest one on Newegg right now, for example, is almost $200), so unless you hear him get into specifics, I would recommend going in a different direction gift-wise.
  10. Looking to replace my laptop. Also due for a cell phone upgrade and, while I've never done it on BF before, I'll at least be checking out the deals. 4K TV, if the price is right. Can't fit more than a 50" in the space I have, so we'll see what deals are out there that meet at least my minimum requirements, spec-wise.
  11. Happy October, folks. Got in just before 1 this morning from Charlotte, NC. Back to reality at work today, but the vacation is always so worth it.
  12. Will work on getting my PM in soon! Yay!
  13. Watching "It's a Wonderful Life" on Christmas Eve. One of my best friends loves this movie, too. He doesn't live local to me, but we always watch it "together" whenever he's not stuck working Christmas Eve. We chat during the commercial breaks and just enjoy the time together, even if we're not in the same state, let alone the same room. Kind of bridges that physical gap in a way.
  14. I've bought NASCAR stuff from them, so I'm on their email list. That's how I hear about them. Not sure about any other methods other than just checking the website periodically.
  15. Yeah! Come at me bro (or sis)!!!
  16. Wow. Sure sounds like it. smh
  17. Of course these promotions exclude anything I'm remotely interested in using such a discount on. smh lol
  18. I'm watching but man, they don't do many discounts on those Sonys. I've had my eye on the X800E/X900E since last fall and the price hasn't really moved, even though the F series sets are out now. That said, I'm definitely keeping an eye out.
  19. That's definitely a great way to do it, Kanyon.
  20. You're in the direct hit line. Your cousin will most certainly understand if you cannot attend the wedding. (Though I completely understand that you are bummed about the possibility.) Florence is nothing to mess with. Do what you can to secure your property. Be ready to evacuate with your cats, if need be. Your life and that of those you love, furry and otherwise, is far more important, even, than a family wedding. Check out petswelcome.com or bringfido.com for lists of hotels and other lodging that is pet friendly if you do need to evacuate and you're not sure who will accept your furry family. Stay safe and check in with family/friends (including us!) when you're able to let them know you're safe. My prayers are with you and all in the path of Florence's wrath. Hang in there.
  21. Gotta pick the popular choice, Harbor Freight, but I'll say 10/1. Thanks for all the fun contests, Brad
