So tomorrow night is our annual work holiday party. I mentioned in my comments on the BF haul discussion that I grabbed a work party-suitable dress from Torrid for $5 on clearance. Guess what's being worn tomorrow night? lol Fun times. December is my huge baking month (Christmas gifts!). I usually have to start the weekend of the party but, because of how Christmas falls this year, I get a reprieve this weekend. I'll be going gangbusters starting about Wednesday this coming week, with the first shipments going out no later than the 12th. I do the baking in two big waves over about 2 weeks. When all is said and done, I've lost count of how many cookies I crank out. All I know is it's well over 100 dozen (maybe I'll actually try to keep track this year for curiosity's sake) divided among at least 7 different kinds. Add to that at least 5 batches of fudge, 4 pans of brownies, and at least 3 loaves of pumpkin bread and you get one exhausted baker who checks off another Christmas labor of love for many dear friends.

Yep. I run into that same problem. So office staff knows if anything comes in during the week, they'll see my smiling face first thing Sat morning. lol Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL

Agreed. So glad my complex keeps all packages too large to fit in mailboxes in the leasing office. Can make it a pain for pick up sometimes, but well worth the security of knowing they're not just sitting out in the open someplace.

You must not have been watching the news this week - packages already swiped off porches in metro Detroit area, if I recall correctly. smh

Awesome! Will fit my little boy kitty perfectly!

30% here. Might still work on spending my KC tonight anyway, though.
-
Got my items yesterday. Need to unpack my receiver tonight and make sure it's in good working order. Not worried about the memory cards, really. I expect they'll work fine.

Got one more thing I want to pick up for my SS package, then I'll get it packed and shipped.

First, a comment about the poinsettias: Yep, saw several people with two cart loads at my HD. I think I was the only one not buying a single one. (I have cats that are plant chewers. How do you stay entertained while waiting in line?
wittenlover replied to Rockfordmom's topic in 2017
If I'm at Walmart or Meijer, I'm chatting with those around me in line. If we're after different things, we can often help each other with locations and/or grabbing said other items. Since I shop solo, making "friends" with those around me can be vital to getting everything on my list. -
I can't stream stuff at work (boo hiss) but I did get the email that the event was live, if that helps.

This year, turns out I'll be headed to my best friend's place to hang out after the shopping's done (she doesn't do mornings due to various health issues). She's going to be around and, with me having the day off, perfect time to have some girl time. Maybe we'll hit a movie or something.
