  1. Good morning t-shirt clubbers! Happy February! So far, so good on a quest to a healthier me. One month down, 16 lbs gone. Win. Just gotta keep it going that direction!
  2. Last day of January... Last chance for anyone who hasn't posted yet this month to keep your name on the t-shirt club list!
  3. Been there, done that a few times...
  4. Bumping this to keep it visible to those who might otherwise miss it. Great, easy way to send some tangible support to the troops for free.
  5. Seeing as I'm known for being the one who finds unique/cool things every year, I definitely keep my eyes open year round for things I know folks will love, either for bdays or for Christmas. Good stuff.
  6. If you haven't been over in the freebies thread here at GD lately, I recommend you take a look. There's a link there right now to a site that allows you to pick and send a care package to an overseas service member for free. It was really easy.
  7. This is really neat (and very easy). I just sent one. Thanks for posting this link!
  8. I enjoyed the visit but yeah, wouldn't want to live there. This Polish girl burns too easily and that desert sun is *potent*.
  9. As a Michigan fan, not sure I trust Dave Brandon as far as I can throw him but that's just me. lol
  10. Yeah A/C is great until you actually have to go out in the heat. Nudist colonies may see an uptick in memberships during the humid MI summers. lol I don't get cold easily but on the flipside, I can overheat easily. So yeah, I prefer adding layers to sweltering heat. Especially since we get the heat AND the humidity here in MI! (I've been in Vegas where it was literally 117* outside and it felt cooler than the high 80s/low 90s humid heat I'd left behind in MI. Something's wrong with that picture!)
  11. The two locations in Ann Arbor, MI (One's a TrU, other's a BrU) are within a few miles of me. Each is part of a different shopping plaza, both of which I frequent for other stores located there. On the other hand, I can't tell you the last time I went into those Ann Arbor stores - not having kids, nor having any friends with kids that I'd shop for in stores like that, I really had no need for either place. Will be interesting to see what comes in to fill those spaces once the stores close.
  12. I'm not a huge fan of the cold, but something you hear me saying often when asked which I prefer... "You can always put more layers on but you can only take so many off before they arrest you." lol
  13. So tomorrow will feel like you're back in FL, right? lol
  14. You're in luck. We'll be closing in on 50* by Thursday. (Then back to reality over the weekend. lol)
  15. OK. I thought so, but couldn't remember. Last couple months have all been a blur for me. lol Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
  16. Don't forget we had a couple server issues (though I can't recall exact timing of them). That might explain the missing posts...
  17. I was recovering from lack of sleep resulting from being the "hostess with the mostest" for my church's NYE party. Didn't get in till 3 yesterday morning, couldn't sleep till 5, finally got to sleep only to be back up at 10 to get stuff done. Back to reality today. After the week off from work, I'm more exhausted now than I was before Christmas. The "off week" is always, by far, my busiest week. Should have grabbed a NOS this morning to wake me up. Ha. Happy 2018, y'all.
  18. Would seem a very small thing to some but... an elf ornament. Back story: A dear friend of mine was extremely close to his grandma, even taking on a part-time caregiver's role in her last few years. She passed a few years back and part of his inheritance, if you will, was her Christmas tree and all of her decorations. Her tree was known as the "elf tree" in their family, as it was covered with elves (pre-Elf on the Shelf era, but that style of elf). Every year, in remembrance of his grandma, my friend puts that tree up, complete with all of her elves. This year, as I hunted for something unique and special for him, I came across a jingle bell ornament that had that style of elf sitting on top of the jingle bell reading a book. I knew I had to get it for him. How do I know it was a big hit? When he told me the ornament was already on the tree and that it was "perfect". (He lives out of state from me.) Brought tears to my eyes to know he found it worthy of adding to her collection. Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
  19. Merry Christmas to all from snowy, white Christmas SE MI! Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
  20. So I opened my box this morning and found everything nicely wrapped inside. When I unwrapped everything, I found many fun things. Everything from yummy hand lotion to a beautiful journal & pen set to treats for my kitties (and a whole tin of peppermint goodies for me) and so much more! Thank you tracy0504, from me and my kitties! Sent from my iPhone using GottaDEAL
  21. That was my life this week. Sorry you and your fam caught the creeping crud as well. Darn MI weather.
  22. Waiting for the after Christmas candy sales to stock up for my NYE party table bowls. I host the party at my church every year and the candy bowls on each table are always pretty popular.
  23. The box I'm most looking forward to the person receiving is on the truck and out for delivery today. Filled with many special things for a very special friend. Worked hard on this one this year.
  24. Baking is done. Wrapping is almost done. Final shipments go out today.
  25. Yikes! Been there, done that with various baking supplies over the years. I always feel like such a dingy when I realize stuff that old is still in my cabinets.
