Yeah. I saw that they were offering the Sprint activations and, in reviewing their website info as it is now, it looks like they don't normally offer that for Sprint. (Or at least I couldn't find any in the "contract phone" section when I looked the other day.) Wonder if that will have any effect on how well they handle these activations in-store during the BF sale...?

Can't hurt to ask an associate "off the record" while I'm in there, since it's usually one of my last stops.

This year, it'll be whatever they're serving in whichever Frankenmuth restaurant my dad got us the reservation for. I love to cook but he seems to think I need a break from it (not realizing that cooking for 1 gets REALLY old for me vs cooking for others). Sooo... Rather than argue with him every year, it seems to be every other year he lets me cook. I'm good with that. I'm thinking he might just miss being around a larger group of people. My brother lives across the country and his work is such that he rarely gets enough time off to come "home" for the holidays so it's just me and dad here. Big change from when brother and I were kids and it'd be my dad's parents, mom and dad, dad's two siblings, and my brother and I. Times, they do a' change.

Something else I do - I have two favorite Christmas CDs (I have many others, but two at the top of my list). When I go out to start my "in-store" BF shopping is when they find their way into my car's CD player. TobyMac's Christmas in Diverse City and MercyMe's The Christmas Sessions. Good stuff all the way through. TobyMac gets play when I need some fun energy, MercyMe when I want more of the "traditional" Christmas sound. Both keep me energized throughout the season.

Good to know, since they have a men's scent in there that I have no one I can pawn it off on. lol

No. I don't know if they would even allow it, since the things inside the bag are generally packaged up together when you buy the tote. You might be able to pull an "exchange after purchase" or something, though. (That said, I absolutely love Twisted Peppermint, so I'm excited for this year's tote. Different strokes! )

Thanks for the assist riven3d And yes, I agree with riven3d's assessment. 4GB of RAM is almost not enough these days even for what you want to do, starbeck96. I'm shackled with 4GB of RAM right now and don't do much more than what you want to do and it's just bogging down my laptop badly. So... I'm looking to get one with at least 8GB of RAM in it, hopefully this BF.

Are you referring to the one on the last page of the ad?

I'm toying with that Sharp in BB's ad but a 55" in the space I have for it is very literally the largest that I can physically fit there, so I'm not sure I want to go that big. Was hoping for better 50" deals. But... Between the three you mention, you're better off with either BB or Walmart's deal. The $199 is cheap but that's about it. You'll get better quality out of either of the other two.

I'm not currently a Sam's Club member but that $300 gift card would be well worth it since I'm due for an upgrade anyway, assuming no BF ads drop with similar deals before then.

Yep. Chance and Lucky and their friends. I've already donated a few this season. Lost count of how many I donated last year. Great cause, easy $5 add on.

I still buy and use CDs for music. Have to have some way to burn them to computer for iTunes transfer. That's my biggest use.

Agreed. No optical drive kills me, though. I really don't want to have to get another add-on piece and I use my optical drive quite a bit still. Still, I'll keep it under consideration because I know USB plug-in optical drives are relatively inexpensive.

And pretty inexpensive for their quality. (Yep, will be adding at least a couple more to my collection this year!)

It seems the PetSmart ad is only a preview and not the full ad. Fingers crossed that this is true, as I was very disappointed by what I saw in the PetSmart one as it is now.
