  1. I never could and still can't get into Star Wars. Heard something once that made me laugh. Someone was talking about how awesome it was and the other person looks at them and says you realize Star Wars is just a space soap opera don't you. Told it to a friend who is all into it and he was like NO IT ISN'T it's about blah blah blah and I was like ya I think they did that same think on earth last week on Days Of Ours Lives.
  2. About the only things I've decided on if I find a decent deal is the new Apple Watch for my wife to replace her first gen one.
  3. We usually do a breakfast on Christmas morning, really enjoy that one.
  4. Well that's sad, hopefully they get their brick and mortar plan working and build things back.
  5. So it looks like it's moving forward, hopefully they get the brick and mortar worked out also.
  6. I remember one year almost throwing down with a guy in Best Buy. He wanted a GPS so bad he almost knocked a visibly VERY prego woman down to get in front of us. Explained to him for his own safety he should probably leave at that point. I'm not a small guy and neither was my Brother In-Law standing right next to me.
  7. We will stop using it. We use different cards or cash and I don't want to have to route that through their pay app. NO THANK YOU. So I guess we just shift back to shopping other stores. We usually end up with $80-$100 a year that we cash in for BF.
  8. As I seem to recall at some places like Wal-Mart having it in hand doesn't mean you're getting it either. I see the news stories every year of beat down's for towels or a toaster or some other silly thing.
  9. So in essence they are trying to get people to stop using it?
  10. Ah now I understand. I'm all about saving so I look and wait and wait and look. I may see what deals there are on the new one this year to replace the 1st gen I got her. I like a lot of the new features announced yesterday.
  11. Our tradition has been to go and cut our own. Not going to happen this year since we moved. I think we will either try to find a good local lot with northern trees or just order a Fraser Fir from Amazon.
  12. I used the SWAG methodology. For those who don't know SWAG = Super Wild A** Guess
  13. A lot of times you can get those deals online then just pick it up in the store. It's what I did the year I bought my wife's Apple watch from Target. They emailed me the gift card , we went to the store to shop I grabbed the watch and put it in the car went back in to meet my wife then used the gift card for our shopping.
  14. Still a thing with us. I don't and won't go out shopping until my normal times. We eat lot's of food and watch lot's of football on Thanksgiving.
  15. It's cooling down in FL also. It went from 92 to 91
  16. Harbor Freight 10/02
  17. All the forums are up and the official threads.
  18. Ya that was just because I refused to do it a third time on the last huge snow storm we had. I decided to wait until the next morning.
  19. You know the one thing I won't miss? Having to run the snow blower twice in one day.
  20. Here's the article I read. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/retail/2018/09/06/bon-ton-reopen-new-owner-waits-court-approval-bankruptcy/1201558002/ Here's a small part of it: The new Bon-Ton will emphasize its online shopping experience. But CSC says it is "also in advanced discussions with landlords about reopening stores in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.'' Those locations would likely be staffed by former Bon-Ton employees. So you're only talking about 5 states right now and my guess is far less stores. This is sort of what I hope happens with TRU.
  21. I think we will end up doing a lot online this year, we moved back to FL this year and to a smaller town this time. No real stores we shop outside of Wal-Mart are near us and I probably won't want to drive an hour to the ones we used to go to. That and part of the family is back in MI so it's just easier to have things sent there.
  22. I just read an article that Bon-Ton is set to reopen with a new owner. They will have a big online presence and are negotiating with landlords on about 5 or 6 states to reopen their brick and mortar stores. The article said it will hire back previous employees.
  23. Nothing wrong with that. Makes the day more relaxed.
  24. Very nice. We have shirt designs. Now we need a WalMart letter.
  25. Doing great, keep up the good work
