  1. You go by Hwy 53? lol Why not the interstate? Sorry, I'm always in a hurry to get where I'm going. TI'm in ATL ALL the time!! My daughter is severly disabled so she is in ATL all the time for doctors. Mostly all her docs are at Scottish Rite (off 285).
  2. SAME HERE!! I worked many BFs when I worked retail, and am now a stay at home mom. And my husband too is still working retail ( he's a store manager as was I and we dealt with the worst people)!!! B/c when there was a major problem it got passed to us!! We are the ones that had to deal with those crazy customers that were screaming or making a big scene!! But the thing about it is that I had to deal with it ALL DURING THE YEAR!! Not just on BF!! The customers that are willing to act like that usually pitch fits all through the year. Some people just have no class!! But BF isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I am pregnant and willing to go out this year b/c in my experience I have never dealt with all the pushing, hitting, and things like that. And as for the junk statement, most of it is JUNK...EVEN THE EXPENSIVE STUFF!! So, "I would rather buy a $19.99 DVD player for someone that they can get a period of time use for instead of buying something that they can't of won't use and them get NO USE out of it!! No offense, butI'm on a limited budget. I can only spend around $20 on most people, except for my family. And Christmas is supposed to be about the thought!! People don't have to spend alot of money on me, that's not what Christmas is really about!! And yes, working retail is a pain in the butt, but the truth of it is that ALL JOBS HAVE THEIR CRAP!! There is no job that doesn't come with a bunch of
  3. Nope!! My hubby usually gets up and makes me breakfast while I get ready!! But this year he has to be at work at like 5 b/c his store is opening earlier this year (he's a Store Manager of Black & Decker). And as for my daughter, there's no waking her up. She could sleep through a tornado!!
  4. I go for all of it!! The deals, and the excitement. I go with other women in my family and we just make a fun day out of it!! And I love my daughter to death, but it's one of the only days of the year that I can have some ADULT TIME!!! :gd_purple :gd_purple
  5. I can't get into the chat either.
  6. Nope!!! Pregnant and still going!! Wouldn't miss it for the world!!
  7. Maybe you could do a simple little scavenger hunt, where the clues are related to the day of the song.
  8. Just giving this a bump so all the new (what 700 and something) registered members can find the link to download the ads!! Welcome newbies!! Hope you enjoy this site. Brad and Ross have made it a great one (as a matter of fact it's the BEST)!!!
  9. OMG!!! I can't even hardly get in here and the screen I'm seeing right now is very basic!! Brad, Ross, what's going on?
  10. First of all, welcome to the board. Second, the whole BF scene isn't as scary as most people think it is, at least not where I live. I have never seen anyone trying to run people over or acting crazy. As a matter of fact, as you will find, most of us here LOVE to go out on BF. And as it has been said, be careful going out b/c it can be ADDICTING!! The first year I went I was hooked!! I will forever BF shop now!!
  11. No, we don't wrap stocking stuffers b/c most of it is candy or just small things. And they don't get put in the stocking till Christmas Eve night anyway.
  12. Just keep watching for the BF ads and see what all is on sale. You can buy them the video systems as their big gift and just buy them other smaller items to finish their shopping. Just think of it this way, if they were in the states coustody rather than with you they probably wouldn't get any x-mas at all. So it's great what you're doing for them.
  13. I love this site and being able to see the ads early. (Hat's off to Brad and Ross) But I still get even more excited to have the actuall ads in my hands. Because I know then tomorrow's only a day away!! lol Plus we don't plan our stratagy till Thanksgiving. We all sit around the table after we've ate Thanksgiving dinner and plan out our strategy!! Can't wait!! 23 more days till the ads and 24 till SHOPPING!!!!!
  14. I don't cook on Christmas. We still go to my grandmothers for all the major holidays. We have a big family (about 30 something people). But she usually fixes both turkey and ham.
  15. My mother!!! She always gets me jewlrey that I don't like or some nicknacks (and I hate nick nacks..they'e too cluttery). We just have completely different tastes.
  16. Wow, you guys are great!! ANOTHER GREAT IDEA FROM BRAD AND ROSS!! We're not worthy. hehe
  17. Yeah, that's what is was supposed to be last year too but our store didn't even have those. The cheapest they had was one that was $39.99 that had a ten dollar rebate making it $29.99. And since several other stores had them for $29.99 with no rebate I didn't wanna fool with the rebate if I didn't have to.
  18. Every color of the rainbow!! We have a 3 year old and one on the way, so I just think we should keep it colorful!! I know that I always loved the many different colors and kinds of ornaments. So I think we'll keep it that way until we don't have small children in the house. Then we'll go to something more elegant. I just think that Christmas is for the kids so we'll let it revolve around them as long as they're young!!
  19. That's exactly what I was noticing when I was in WalMart. I was checking out a lot of the things that I was interested in on the WalMart BF ads and was noticing that alot of it was the same price that it is now!! Take the Tumble Tigger for instance...it's $24.98 on BF and it's $24.98 right now in the store. And that's just one example. There were alot of things that were the same price. I mean part of the reward for getting out and dealing with the BF insanity is that you get good deals. But where's the deal in that?
  20. Ok, I am just wandering if any of you tried to get the $19.99 DVD player from Sears last year and if you suceeded. Me and my aunt were going to snatch up a few of them as gifts last year and we couldn't find them. As a matter of fact we were one of the first few in the store and no one could find them. There were a bunch of people asking for them and none of the associates would help us. They just said they didn't know where they were. Alot of us wandered if they even had them at all. I am hoping to pick a couple up this year but I'm not positive that they are really gonna have them. I would just like to be able to find one for $19.99 instead of $29.99 b/c then I would have more money to buy a couple DVDs for the people I'm buying them for.
  21. Thanks a millon!! :g_clap:
  22. Can't wait!!! Thanks alot!!!
  23. ditto
  24. Our's always goes in the living room.
  25. I love my grandmother's tree. It has only red/burgandy bows, clear glass ornaments, and white lights. It is very elegant. I would love to have my tree like that. But we have a 3 year old and one on the way so as long as we have smaller children we are going to keep it very colorful and full of everything that we can find. It's just sort of a mish-mash of ornaments. But I think kids love all those bright colors and pretty ornaments. So we'll keep it like that as long as we have small children in the house and then as they get older/ move out of the house then we can have that elegant tree.
