Can't do anything till I get the Circuit City ad. Which is looking like it's gonna be Turkey Day. They're keeping tabs on it this year.

Who cares about "needs"? Think about "wants"!!

They usually place the "hot" items on pallets in the middle of the isles. And most of the time, unfortunately, it can be hard to tell where they are. I know one year, the first year the DVD players went to $30, they put them in the groceries section!! If you are friends with anyone that works there you would do good to ask them about it.

Just FYI, for those that are new to BF. Some Wal-Marts do put their ads in the local Thanksgiving day papers. But some do not!! Ours never does. So we always go to Wal-Mart on Wednesday and get it (they will give them out then). So if the Wal-Mart is one you need, you better be safe rather than sorry.

I know Wal-Mart does it all year long, but I'm not sure about other stores.

For me (and the other women I go with) it's run, don't you even dare think about walking!!

I will not make my list until Turkey Day when I have the actual printed ads in my hand!!

Ugh...I doubt it!! I would lay of the coffee unless you wanna be doing the pee pee dance...lol. I would tell you to take some yellow jackets or something like that, but they will give you the same problem. You may just need to stick to good old fashioned candy to keep you up. Nothing like a sugar high at 2 in the morning!!

One of you could just have it sent to someone in you're family's address.

Wal-Mart has some for about $6 or $7. So you could go get one of those and if it gets left behind it wouldn't be that big of a loss.

I saw someone mention in another thread that they wanted the 20% Gift Cards on BF. Does anyone else remember them doing this last year or the years before? And if I'm understanding it correctly it means that if I want to get a $25 GC for someone I would just pay $20? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This would be perfect for a few people on my list!! :gd_orange

I don't plan to sell the originals or the copies. I would just like to have DVDs of the over 300 VHS's we have without having to rebuy all of them. That way we will have them for the portable DVD players and DVD player in the car.

Actually no, they are bought movies. Which shoplifter pointed out could cause a problem with recording them.

Ok, DH and I were talking. We said a few months ago that we wanted to get us a DVD recorder this year. We have TONS of old VHS's that we don't want to have to buy the DVDs for. So we were hoping to transfer our VHS movies onto DVDs. So my ? is this...DH is afraid if we buy a DVD recorder that doesn't have a VCR in with it that we won't be able to hook them up together to record the VHS onto DVD. I think that would be the whole point of a DVD recorder. Does anyone else have one and is this possible?

There are more stuff on sale at the stores. I actually usually end up buying more stuff that wasn't in the ads than what was on the ads they send out.

You could check http://www.abcdistributing.com. They have little scissors that cute cute edges and have paper crimpers, and other things like that which are good for scrapbooking. Or you could get her a GC to a scrapbooking store.
