Now that I have the basics and big gifts out of the way, it's time to start thinking about stocking stuffers. My daughter was always easy, but she's not home anymore (I usually just put her stuff in a gift bag now). But boys are always hard for me, especially as they get older. So let's discuss stocking stuffer ideas. I also always like to hear the different traditions people have! One thing I try to do is to put accessories for their big gift in the stocking. Like small tools, rulers, and paints for the model building/table top gamer. Or turntable accessories when the other got one last year. Also, always gift cards, gaming memberships, and digital money. Those don't take up very much room though. I thought about getting the $25 smart watch from Penney's to see if they would like to have one, but I talked myself out of it. I've also done wallets, think I maybe even did that last year. When they were little, I'd do things like fun toothbrushes, socks, hats, gloves... For girls, health and beauty things are usually a hit. Jewelry, socks, wallets/coin purses, key chains, socks... Oh and of course candy, and I try to do one food treat. What are some things you do?

Yay!! Black Friday! Wonder what next year's favorite smart home and kitchen gadget will be? Also, less shopping time, and less time to have Christmas decorations up (if you wait until after thanksgiving like I do). Wonder if that willl make the retailers a little more aggressive, either with better sales, or if they will start them even earlier now to still get that extra time.

Another successful black Friday in the books, woohoo! I don't feel like I went overboard and bought too many unnecessary items, but I got a lot crossed off my list. And, I stayed out of all the crowds!! Thanks to Brad and all the volunteers!

Went out at 7 this morning for PetSmart. Ours was pretty dead too. No lines to back of store as usual. But also, sale wasn't as good either. Went to BBW, same story, no one in line. But they were open last night so I guess all the crazy happened there last night? Dunno, last year at opening on Friday they were very crowded. Michael's about 8:30, a normal Saturday is 3 times busier. It was very odd. For what I got... Puppy pads, milk bones, and a dog stocking. Nothing at BBW, and some gingerbread floral picks at Michael's. I just wasn't in the shopping mood. But I did place a Kohl's order while I was in the parking lot, for something that I ordered last night for pickup at my store, but was cancelled. So picked the next closest store.

I just placed my 4th Best Buy order, plus I did an in store purchase last weekend. Guess Best Buy did good for my list this year!

1:06 and I'm done!! Woohoo!! Wouldn't have taken that long, but I had a GC to use, and apparently having it in your wallet doesn't allow an easy way to apply! I had to type it in!!

Oh yeah... Movies!! I was so concerned with getting the VR that I completely forgot about movies. Thanks for the reminder! Got those taken care of as well.

I checked a few more items, even some doorbusters, and they are all at BF price. Go Best Buy! I want to wait for Kohl's to get the KC on the Google Home stuff, but it sure is tempting to just get them at BB and be done...
-
Decided to check a little early for the Oculus Rift to change price (I had checked about 11pm and it was still regular price) and it was at sale price! That was the only thing I hadn't got yet from my BB list, so got checked out no problems, easy peasy. Hooray!

So the prices in my cart changed before 10, but there was one more thing I was holding out for that I couldn't pre-add. And that was a mistake, because some things sold out before 10. Oh well. I did get the most important things. I finally got checked out at 10:22. I don't love Walmart, I never shop there, and it's my first online BF shopping experience with them. Good luck everyone!

See, I don't know how to do crust. And I went to the store today, couldn't find a frozen or refrigerated one. So guess no cherry pie after all. Oh well.
-
Kohl's is also 12 lb. Those are the only two I remember seeing, sorry!

I noticed that some of the clothes are already at BF price, plus there is a $10/40 apparel purchase promo going on now. And something new. I had the option of combining my purchases into fewer shipments and save $1. So that was cool.
-
Oh me too. I got on right at 1 and got my couple things no problem... But then remembered I forgot one thing. After trying for over an hour I went to bed, and got up about 4 and finally got it placed, but not easily.

I think best buy usually starts their sales at 1am ET. But it does take a bit for all the prices to change.

Interesting Fine Print: REDcard holders will be offered early access to select products and promotions (collectively, “early access offers”). Every early access offer may not be available to every REDcard holder, and the selection of REDcard holders for a specific early access offer may be based on criteria, such as previous purchases or geographic location. Early access offers are planned throughout the year at our sole discretion and may vary from year to year. Early access offers may have limitations and restrictions. Applicable details for a specific early access offer will be provided in communications about the early access offer.

Target usually starts their sales at midnight PT, 3am ET. ETA: Just read the details on the website: Early Access to Black Friday Some quantities limited: some items may have a quantity limit per purchase. Purchases can be made on Target.com on November 21 beginning at approximately midnight (PT). Black Friday deals for REDcard holders will be revealed on November 21. REDcard early access offer applied when you use your REDcard at checkout on Target.com. If an offer is a percentage discount, the discount will apply only to the purchase amount tendered to your REDcard. For other offer types, the offer will apply only if the purchase amount tendered to your REDcard is equal to or greater than the amount of the discount or the value of the offer, as applicable. REDcard early access ends on 11/21/18 at 11:59pm PT.

Thanks for doing that math! I saw that deal, but was too lazy to look up the regular price! I'm not sure though Mama will be willing to give up the pet smart tradition... We head there after we get the batteries and poinsettias at home depot.

Amazon changes their prices very often. So the $159 price was probably valid at the time of posting yesterday, but has changed today.

Well, cheap option won't work in my household. Husband makes sure we have the best, especially on phones... So I would love to get an expensive phone for not-so-expensive. If possible.

My stepdad said last night he wanted a cherry pie. I think he was being silly, because we never have cherry pie, and when I said I didn't know how to make that, he smiled and said I know. But, I might try to make one now just because! I have never actually made any pie, so we'll see!

I actually have struggled with this some years. My go-to item now is Converse. Their Converse sale usually lasts longer (need to check that for sure this year though!), and someone always needs a new pair.

Thanks. I really need to just go talk to them and look I guess. I don't really want to change phones, but the speaker is starting to give out on mine.
