I read a post on here from someone that they are a popular company, but if you go to yahoo... http://shopping.yahoo.com/merchrating/user_rv.html;_ylt=AqzL1hWbFebgxfhAfRr0j3pDmmYB;_ylu=X3oDMTBwaWs3NnFrBF9zAzIzNTAxMzc5BHNlYwNtZXJjaGluZm8-?merchant_id=1001960 there are alot of people who have been unhappy with them. I might try to order if it was a small dollar amount or if it wasnt near christmas, but I wouldnt risk it for a definite present that I needed by a certain time.

http://senseo.lissonline.com/Events/Events.aspx Only about 10 locations listed over the US though. ETA: It looks like they are only one group traveling and are currently on the west coast. If you go to that site, only the dark senseo images are the ones currently or in the near future scheduled. The light ones are where they have been. Can only hope that they continue to travel and make it this way. :)

Darn, I wish one of their sites was near me. I would like to have one, but dont want to pay $15 shipping for it. Even though its a good deal, my coffee maker I have is perfectly fine, I would just like to try out the Senseo.

I dont think I was crazy, but I was sure I remember seeing a thread with brunch recipes on the holiday discussion board a bit ago, but I did a search for brunch and cant find it. If anyone could direct me to that, I would appreciate it. Or, if I really am losing my mind and didn't see it here, can we start one? LOL I host Christmas brunch at my house the last few years and Im just looking for something different than I have had previously. Previous years I have served sausage balls, breakfast casserole, zucchini bread and of course cookies and pies. Any other new ideas?

I HAVE TWO GIFT CARDS I CAN NOT USE..WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THEM
floridasun5 replied to mommie75's topic in 2005
If you need the money, put them on ebay...there are always plenty of fools who pay full price for gift cards If you dont need the money or just want to do something nice, there are plenty of people here who struggle to purchase christmas gifts as it is, that you could hold a drawing for to give away. -

Wrestlemania Anthology 21 disc DVD set
floridasun5 replied to floridasun5's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thanks...I did see their deal, but also read a few bad reviews from other people on shopping.yahoo.com so im a little leary to buy from them when others have had bad experiences. Its not only a large dollar amount, but a christmas present, so I dont want to risk having problems or not receiving my order by a company that have screwed over other people in the past. -
Hi bk...I live only about 30 minutes from Disney. I dont personally know of any discounts online, but once you get here, you can find lots of coupons and discounts. Most of the restaurants/shops, etc. in the areas have coupon books and such in their lobbys. So make sure to look around and pick those up wherever you find one. Also, not sure if you have your tickets for the parks yet, but in the tourist areas, you will find booths outside many restaurants and stores that sell half used hopper tickets. These are the tickets that people buy for like 7 days and only use 5 days worth. The customers will then go and sell to these booths their half used tickets to redeem some of their money back. The only last suggestion I have is to make a post on any forums that you belong to or even something like craiglist to ask those that have the entertainment books for the area if there are any coupons that they will not be using out of the books that you can pay a few bucks for and save some money that way. Good luck....it's really nice down here lately :)

My husband wants this Wrestlemania Anthology DVD set thats 21 discs in the box for Christmas, but Im not finding it for under $200 in stores and even if I can find a good price on ebay for a bit cheaper, once I pay the $10-20 in shipping, it isnt any real savings. Im a little worried about ordering from some no-name site for a high dollar order. If anyone could help me find the DVD set or a coupon code/ physical coupon that I could buy it online or off, I would greatly appreciate it! Looking to not spend anymore than $150-175 total. Thanks! :)

Just 2 so far....work on the 16th, but as dh and I both work for the same company, we only have one together. Then, another at a friends house on Christmas eve. :)

My dd is being spoiled this year...but then again, she is an only child. She needed a new computer and instead of buying a desktop, I figured it would be better to get her a laptop, so that was $400 right there. The rest of the items are small like a mouse, small mp3 player, gift card for songs, etc. but I shouldnt spend anymore than $500 on her for everything.

My lights inside go off when we got to bed...my lights outside are on timer and are set to go off about 3-4 hours after they come in, which is usually dusk. I see no reason to leave them on all night long...like you said, just raises electric bills.

Have plans to decorate house today and going to friends tonight, but I fully expect to be back out shopping tomorrow...once the new sale papers come out! Still more shopping to do and since I love to shop, I like to space all the gifts that I have to buy out for a few weeks so I can still go out on weekends to shop and enjoy the festivities.

30 in Orlando florida...Casselberry Walmart. Got there about 11:45 and was 9th in line. Order was kept...got my lappy at 5am and was out of the store in 10 minutes :)
-
Thanks to obviously the best Walmart in our area. They were well organized and had some great people in line with us that kept their cool and remained friendly and polite. All employees we encountered were very pleasant as well. Its also very nice that some of these stores like compusa are putting their items online to buy so that the people who were looking for items in store that were sold out could still get what they were looking for :)
-
I think everyone was sending away for them via mail requests.

Being in line with someone else and having to leave or wanting to run somewhere quickly for a few minutes is a totally different story than those showing up at 5 minutes before the store opens to stand with friends who had been there all night. Its no different than myself waiting in line at Walmart with my husband and getting up to walk around, get something to eat and/or use the bathroom and coming back, or the OP standing in line with his dad and leaving for a few minutes to run next door to pick up a few things or look around. If people that have 20 friends showing up expect their friends to be able to get 20 of the items they want too, then they need to stay there all night and stand in line like the rest of the people.

I totally agree! While I think its great that the publicity helps out Brad and Ross so that they can continue to keep the site up and give us the ads early each year, the publicity has definitely increased lines this year. Last year, I got to Best Buy at 2:30 and was about 30th in line. This year, we got there right before 11:30 and there were already at least 100 people there. Needless to say, I didnt wait. I do really enjoy BF...but I draw the line at camping out all night for things.

Try this link http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?&ref=cj&pfp=cj&product_code=317565 Is that the one you tried? I just clicked it and it has the button that says add to cart and says delivery only.

You can still get the Logitech bluetooth headset from compusa.com. That was one of the things that I went for as well but couldnt get, but I was able to come home and order it online. The site takes a while, but I did get confirmation! :)

If you could do it all over again, what would you change?
floridasun5 replied to RossMAN's topic in 2005
I wouldnt have changed anything this year. After being disappointed that Best Buy was so crowded already at 11:30, Walmart turned out to be a much better choice. We could sit inside, have food and drink, bathrooms and be able to walk around through the store and shop while we waited. Perfect BF day! :) -
Happy to say....nothing! I got everything that I went out for this morning, then the 2 things I couldnt get in store, I came home and bought online Thanks so much to Brad and Ross for setting this up for us to be so prepared and make it easier to get everything needed!

Woohoo...black friday 2005 done! After being disappointed after leaving Best Buy at 11:30 since there were already 100 people in line at least, we headed over to Walmart to pleasantly find that they had 30 laptops and we were number 10 in line. Plus, it was a 24hr walmart, so we were able to sit inside, have food, drinks, bathrooms, etc. and just relax for 5 hours. So, I got the $378 laptop at Walmart, then headed over to Compusa as I couldnt get near the door there at 11:30 either to see if they had anything left. Picked up the $9.99 wireless mouse to go with the laptop for my daughter. Wanted the 256mb MP3 player but they were out, luckily I am now in the process of ordering online and wanted the bluetooth headset which they were out of as well. So, I got 3 out of the 4 things that I went for and overall it was a very nice morning! :)

Did Anyone See The Chaos At A Florida Walmart On CNN
floridasun5 replied to Dust N Bones's topic in 2005
I had to go to Walmart in Orlando to get my laptop as by the time I got to Best Buy at 11;30, there were already 100 people in line! *insert rolling eyes icon here LOL But nothing happened at my Walmart. Everything went very smooth. One of the people in line took charge since management wasnt and took names and gave people numbers of where everyone was in line and then she stood at the register at 5am making sure that the line went as planned because there were a bunch of people trying to sneak in the line from a side aisle. So overall, a good black friday here :)
