Im not laughing and really dont care as Im sure this person isnt in my town...but Im more shaking my head at the childish-ness of the youngster here.

We had people...or at least one guy that was not hiding it...selling tickets to people in line last year and the cops threw him out...made him leave the premises. I'm not sure I believe the poster that he is really there and going to do this...but if by chance it is true...I surely hope they get caught.

Most likely, people will be lined up WELL before 5am, so you will most likely not be able to just walk right in at 5am and get what you want...that is of course unless your Walmart has the grab and go policy, but even then if there are alot of people waiting, you would be hard pressed to get one. Each store works differently.

I dont know about this LOL I have done BF for the past 2 years, but I didnt go until about 2am so I had time to get some sleep at night. Im leaving my house at 11:30 to drop my dh off at Best Buy, then going to try and hit Comp USA for a few items. I am not a night person and am usually in bed by 10pm every night LOL We'll see how it goes as Im too excited to sleep now...so is anyone else staying up all night?

My very first BF 2 years ago I went out by myself. I didnt feel the least bit scared or threatened as there were plenty of people there for anyone to try anything, but I was bored as heck. All of the people in front of me and behind me were young college kids that were acting stupid, so I didnt have anyone "normal" to talk to LOL and I didnt bring anything with me, so I just had to stand there, just me and my coffee for hours alone.

Not supposed to be too much warmer here in Orlando at 50 degrees. Brrrrrrr

Luckily, all my in-laws live about 1000 miles away from us..but what we do have arguments over is who to buy gifts for. We decided in my dh's family since it is large to only buy gifts for the kids a few years ago as the family is getting larger and larger. As my family is very small and its just my parents and my grandmother, we buy gifts for my parents and my grandmother, but not dh's parents and grandmother. So, every year, dh gets mad that we buy for my parents/grandmother and not his, but he doesnt understand that I have 3 people to buy for outside of him and my daughter, he has 5 kids to start with, on his side of the family to buy for so if we add in another 3 gifts for parents and grandmother, its just too much spending. He does get the point after a while, but dh just always wants to buy for everyone at Christmas even though he knows we cant afford to.

Thanksgiving day is supposed to be 72/55 here in Orlando. Just about the same as it was last year. I took one blanket with me to BF last year and about froze waiting outside all morning in 50 degree weather, so I plan on dressing much warmer and taking a few blankets this year, as I freeze in anything below 80!

I have a 12 year old daughter...some of the things that she wants or I am getting her include a new computer, Nintendo DS, video games, MP3 player, clothes, jewelry, etc. Maybe that will give you some ideas.

Yeah, I've never assumed that everything I find in a black friday sale ad is going to be cheaper than the rest of the year, or cheaper than anywhere else. Unfortunately when the stores offer their doorbusters, or also called loss leaders, they take a hit and have to recoup some of the money from other items that they hope people will buy while in the store for those doorbusters.

I got rid of my lighted reindeer last year as I was tired of looking at them. Everyone seemed to have the same thing, and I didnt want to look the same as everyone else in the neighborhood. I think this year since I am changing the theme of my interior decor, I am going to focus more on the inside decorating. Will probably just do lighted wreaths outside and I want to get one of those little 4ft lighted trees for next to the front door. Might do a few lighted things outside on a few bushes or something, but Im not climbing up our 30ft oak trees to string them with lights again this year LOL

My dd wants a Nintendo DS for Christmas and my mother wants me to try and find it at a good price or deal on BF while I am out, but I'm not seeing it listed in any stores as of yet. Does anyone know if this will be offered at any discounts, or is this one of those items that doesnt go on sale? Or, if not on BF...any good deals at other stores, online or off that I could find it? Ive never noticed them starting at the middle or the back of the line with tickets here at our Best Buy, but I have noticed that some employees who hand out the tickets would go and find their friends in the line first and give them what they wanted, then they would go back to the start of the line and hand them out. I dont know if it was stopped or people complained or not, but I got what I wanted.

I use my credit card also for all christmas gifts so I can get the rewards, then since there is an extra payday in December and my husband gets a christmas bonus, I take the amount I have budgeted for Christmas out of the extra paycheck and bonus and pay off the credit card in january. In addition to getting some good deals on Christmas presents, I have a nice rewards balance after the first of the year to spend on myself!

All of the physical store ads come out in the paper on Thanksgiving day. If you look at the sale ads then, it will have the hours for each of the stores in your area.

Ive been wanting to get a flat screen wall mountable tv for a while now and was very excited when I saw the 26" at Best Buy for $499. But I dont know anything about tvs such as what things I need to be looking for, what to avoid, etc. I have a DVD, playstation and digital cable box that I need to hook up to it as well. Can anyone give me a brief tutorial on these flat screen TVs in laymans terms? :) Thanks!

My 12 yr old daughter has been pestering my dh for his MP3 player that he only rarely uses, so Im going to get her one for Christmas...but...being that Im not even sure how much she will use it, or that it will last, since she breaks or loses everything that she gets anwyay, Im going to get her the $19.99 after rebate one from Sears as long as they have them by the time I get there. I figured that I can get her a cheap one this year and if she takes care of it and uses it, then next year, I might upgrade her to an Ipod or something larger. Oh, I wanted to add as well that unless you are going to pay for ALOT of songs or run the risk of your child downloading alot and getting in trouble for doing so, 256MB or 512MB should be plenty. IMHO, there is no reason a young child or pre-teen needs a 10-20GB MP3 player.

I think many people have been told or been aware from previous years that layaway is not available for things to be taken out on BF...only to put things in. So the idea of cancelling a layaway and then repurchasing it might not work.

When I can and when I can find the resources such as churches or angel trees, I always try and want to send things to the elderly. It seems as if kids are most always taken care of by others, and are many times peoples first choices from the angel trees, but the elderly are many times forgotten or disowned by family, so I like to try and remember them and put a smile on their face during the holidays.

No, ive never done a christmas club or anything. I know ahead of time how much money I have coming in to budget for Christmas and I put everything on my credit card just to get my Discover Rewards, then just make sure to pay it off with that money that I had budgeted coming in.

As of right now, I'm still in the "do I really want to go out" mode. I can get a laptop online for only the cost of shipping more than camping out for hours in front of a store. There is nothing else on my list that is imperative that I get on BF that I wont be able to get deals for elsewhere before Christmas. So unless Best Buy comes out with a really good, cant pass up deal, then I might even sit this BF out and sleep in.
