  1. Glad to hear you still have it. Rayman is lots of fun. My 7 year old and I both enjoyed playing it. You'll laugh a lot.
  2. Did you try re-synching the controller? Sometimes mine go haywire and I have to resynch them (the red button inside the controller and the one inside the Wii).
  3. If you still have Rayman you have to walk to the door and hit "A" to knock on it. A monster will take you to an arena. From there you go into one of the lit tunnels and you'll play a mini-game. Some of them are fun -- I love all the disco games. I have MonkeyBall Banana Blitz and am beginning to hate it. I got to level 5 (Pirates something) and can't get past 2 of the levels. Plus rolling a monkey in a ball gets REAL boring after awhile. My DS (7) loves SpongeBob, but hey -- he is 7. So far no Zeldas for resale in our EB.
  4. Another great thing about Costco is their return policy. If you buy a big screen TV it comes with a one year MF warranty. If it breaks at any time Costco will give you your money back or replace it with a comparable unit. So it could be 3 years later and Costco will still take it back. It is the best guarantee around. Now, years ago I bought a wrought iron fountain from Sam's for about $250. It rusted after a year. I was ticked off and mentioned it in passing to a CR one day. They said "bring it back." They took it back (no receipt, but they recognized it) and gave me my $250 back. So I had the use of it (rusted or not it looked good for awhile) and they cheerfully refunded my money. One more plus about Sam's is that they mark down meat around 10 a.m. (meat that will expire in a few days). Costco doesn't do that. You can't go wrong either way, but I do like Costco.
  5. It all depends on being a good shopper. Publix tends to be higher on meats and cheaper on canned goods (than WD). I like to buy the WD meat when they mark it down -- something Publix never does. Be a careful shopper. We have a Wal-Mart, too and they are sometimes higher than Publix or WD! It all depends.
  6. Anyone discounting Wii games yet? My local Wal-Mart, and Gamestop are all at around $50. Even the used games at Gamestop are around $44. If anyone knows where you can get these for around $30-40 (WarioWare, Rayman Raving Rabids, Zelda, etc.) let me know! Thanks.
  7. No, if you are a Florida Resident the best deals are either the annual pass or the seasonal pass -- not the 10 day pass. Mousesavers is a good place to start looking (check out Florida Resident specials) and also Allearsnet dot com (formerly wdwig). The Disney site itself has a good section for Florida residents. You just have to show your Forida driver's license. Right now Disney has a special for Florida residents. Florida Resident 3 Day Play Pass - You get 3 days for the price of two. Florida residents can purchase a 3-Day Play Pass. You can use the 3-Day Play Pass for up to six months from its first use so you can spread it out. This is available year-round with no block out dates. Plus, the initial cost of the 3-Day Play Pass can be applied to the purchase of an Annual or Seasonal Pass if you decide to upgrade. Non expiration option is available for an extra cost. $127.80 for Ages 10+; $106.50 Ages 3-9 Considering the annual pass is $361.04 and you only want to go so many days any way the 3 day special isn't a bad deal. Disney also has hotel discounts for Florida residents but IMHO you're better off renting a timeshare. You can get a really nice timeshare 2 bedroom apartment for less than renting two hotel rooms -- especially at Disney.
  8. Thanks to GottaDeal I got my free copy of Microsoft Vista today. The new version of Office should soon follow. Thanks guys!
  9. No. It means you are not a teacher. They have two categories: you work for a school or you are a volunteer there. They DO offer work -- I think they pay by the hour and then you get so many books either free or at a big discount (I forget). You can contact your local Scholastic warehouse if you are interested. They have you put books on shelves and such. BTW besides books these warehouses have little gift items that are perfect for birthday party gift bags (fancy pencils, little diaries, little stuffed animals). Last sale they had Gamecube games and software, too. So don't "not go" because you think it is only books. They do have books (great books) but they also have lots of stuff I stash away for birthdays and even the holidays.
  10. Scholastic Books is having a warehouse clearance sale. If you have one near you besides good prices they are offering 2 free books (worth $4.99 or less) for just showing up. Go to http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/events/warehouse/ to see if there is a warehouse near you and when it will be held. You need to login online to get a "fast pass" that will give you the 2 free book coupon.
  11. In today's Sunday paper -- the Gamestop circular. Get a $50 credit towards a new OR used Nintendo DS if you trae in your GBA-SP. You need the coupon.
  12. I was in TRU yesterday and the Wii is sold out at my local store. I got a Wii at TRU via a pre-order in November, but could use another controller & stuff. Oh well.
  13. Don't forget Gamestop / EBGames and Blockbuster. They sell both new and used DS. I bought DS a DS (er, darling son a Nintendo DS) last year used at Blockbuster for around $99 and it is still going strong.
  14. I live near one and they have sales about 3 -4 times a year. A few months ago they had one "nothing over $5." Those are awesome. This one wasn't bad though and got DS books and those magnetic building sets for $6. They do have some toys, Gameboy games, puzzles, PC CDs as well as books. Definitely worth checking out. http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/events/warehouse/index.asp?sa_campaign=internal_ads/bookfairs/gateway/tout21/cawse_holiday2 will tell you if there is a site near you and then you can register online to get the $10 off coupon.
  15. What's the difference? I got DS a DS (hmmm, that doesn't sound right) last year. I bought a used one at Blockbuster for around $130. He loves it. I thought the Lite was a little less -- are you telling me it is a little more? Just curious. Thanks.
