The new Ipod Touch but I doubt there will be any kind of deal on that so I may get it before BF so I don't miss out on getting one. A small TV for the bedroom, a SLR camera which is what I'm really desperate for! I'll also be looking for toys for a 3 1/2 year old boy (Thomas the Train, Cars, Toy Story) and for a 1 year old girl.

Ok we'll try to do that. Most likely he'll be on the hunt for anything with Thomas the Train, Toy Story or Hot Wheels. Possibly some baby toys too.

That's what I usually do at Target. A friend or my DSD goes with me and one stays with the cart while the other grabs the goods!

I was in the same situation last year only I didn't have a c-section. DD was due 10/28 but didn't show until 11/4. I was breast feeding so there was no way I could leave her and there was no way I was taking her out into the madness so I just online shopped last year.

DH usually will not venture out on BF but this year we have 2 little ones to shop for and I can't be everywhere at once. Things will actually be pretty nice this year because our mall just added a Target so I can hit up the mall stores and Target all in one shot! However DH will probably have to go to TRU. Haha how's that for a BF initiation! I've only gone there once on BF. Any tips I can pass along to him?

I feel all twitchy with excitement! I now have 2 little ones to shop for so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for awesome deals this year. I have a 3 year old boy who loves Toy Story and Thomas! DD is currently 9 months and would probably be satisfied with the boxes that DS stuff comes in but that wouldn't make me a very good mommy now would it?

I've just recently gotten started. I actually just bought a set of 4 Thomas Trains from Woot about 5 minutes ago for my 3 year old. DD will only be a little over a year by Christmas. I haven't started on her yet because I've been more focused on her birthday in November. DSD wants an Ipod Touch so I'll be looking for a good deal there if I can find one.

That's for sure. I put one item in my cart (Matchbox car transporter). On sale for 9.99 and it showed that price but when it went into my cart it went back to the regular price of $19.99.

I wish they'd come on and mark their prices down already.

You can remake crayons on your own. Get some metal cookie cutters. Break crayons up into small bits (after removing the paper). Lay a sheet of parchment paper down on a cookie sheet. Place the cookie cutter on the sheet and then add the crayon bits inside the cookie cutter. Put them into a 250* oven for about 20 minutes. Take out and let them cool and harden. You can make all kinds of cool shapes!

Last year was the first time I ever went to TRU on BF. I'd go again. I went to Walmart first and got to TRU around 6 (they opened at 5). The lines were horrendous but in some ways it wasn't too bad because the big sale items were in the aisles that you had to wind through on your way to the register so you could get in line and shop your way through. I got everything I wanted.

I believe Walmart is partially responsible. Once they saw the size of the crowd and that things had the potential to turn ugly they should have called in for reinforcements from the police. The disgusting people who trampled that poor man should be ashamed of themselves but I guarantee they'll be out again this year acting the same way.

I really want a new laptop but only if I can get a really great deal.

That is absolutely awful. Our Walmart had police patrolling the line, stationed at the doors and stationed throughout the store. I can't really blame everyone in the line though. Once a surge started people probably got stuck in it because if they didn't move they would have been trampled as well.

I just looked on their site for holiday hours and it says they open at 6 am on BF. I hope that's not true. I'm sure some of the stores will open earlier. At least I hope so. If they don't open until 6 I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I agree that it looks better than BB. There are some DVDs, DS and Wii games I may go get. I'm hoping I can just get them online.
