  1. Anyone have any good ideas for Christmas centerpieces for my dining room table? Last year I used candles and greens. I'd like something semi formal. My colors are deep red and gold. Something pretty (and easy) please.
  2. Honestly, as far as picking from a super store or the regular one, I would almost pick the smaller one. I know where I live, the Super Walmart is twice as busy as the regular one. To decide which store in general to go to first, you need to wait until the ads come out. Go through them and see what is the best for what you are looking for. Good luck and Happy Shopping!!
  3. My DH and I will go around 4 AM. Have to wait for the ads to come out to know where we will go first.
  4. My husband is in the military and if I remember corectly, at our PX they offer free gift cards for the first customers. This is the first year that I may go there.
  5. Anyone know if Gander Mountain has really good deals on BF? My DH is a HUGE Gander Mountain shopper and I'd love to get some great deals on some fishing stuff for him.
  6. If he likes Legos, the www.legos.com sight has some really cool things. We went to their store at Disney this past summer and my son and husband were hooked. Just a suggestion.
  7. I have been with Netflix for over a year now and just LOVE it. Last year once the weather got frigid, I loved NOT having to load everyone up in the car to head out to the video store. The movies come soooooooooooo fast. It's easy to use and I haven't had to wait for movies. I have even thought maybe that we'd give this as a gift to my folks this year. So, my vote is for netflix.
  8. I LOVE the maid idea. Feel free to send me one ROFL!!
  9. how about some phone cards so she can call whomever she wants?
  10. cookies and milk, and in the past we've left reindeer food outside.
  11. I've done this for as long as I can remember.
  12. My DH is the best at gift wrapping!!! He is soooooooooo good, I should rent him out the week before Christmas LOL!!!! His gift wrapping is better then most stores. Then there is mine...........I'd be fired!!
  13. We have done this in the past, but haven't this year since we are buying a new house next week. By the time we get moved in, we'll end up with snow LOL. Guess I'll wait until next year.:)
  14. As much as I LOVE Christmas, I really wish they wouldn't have the decorations out already. I'd even be OK if they would just wait until after Halloween. That's just me though.
  15. We open up a Hickory Farms sausage and cut up cheese and watch Christmas Vacation. After that, we get cookies and milk ready for Santa and then send the kids to bed. Once we know they are asleep, then we start to get things ready.
  16. last year I got into the store right when it opened and I walked back there to start and by that time, all the DVD specials were gone.
  17. another good idea is to print out the lists from here of the stores you will be shopping at and put them in a binder so that you will have them at your finger tips. Once you have picked out what you want from them, make a note card that can be put with each store ad of what it is you want. It is sooooooo easy on BF to over spend. Make sure that what you get is something you really need LOL. That's why making the lists ahead of time will help you stay on track. Remember, you will meet rude people. That doesn't mean you have to be one of them. I can be hot headed, but I try to count to 10 and ignore those that seem to grow horns that day LOL. Have a great time and enjoy being part of the wacky day. I love going to get the great deals. Sure hope you will too!!!
  18. We only do stockings for our kids. We use to do it for my Grandparents when I was growing up.
  19. I have also found that Kmart can be a good place for Fisher Price. Watch for even thanksgiving day there for them.
  20. This is the first year we will be doing them and right now I plan to go to CVS. Any idea how much they run and how many you get in a set?
  21. I like to be done by mid Dec if at all possible. I find that I still pick up last minute stocking stuffers, but that is about all.
  22. I have always used the back of our closets and put them where you can't find them without REALLY searching for them. The last couple of years I have kept a list so that when it came time for Christmas to finally arrive, I'd have everything that I hid. To this day , my dear mother loses at least 1 gift because she can't remember where she had hid it. It has become a real joke LOL.
