My 12 and 13 yr. old girls will be getting new cell phones, stereos, CDs, and clothes. I am getting them gift cards, digital cameras, and jewelry for stocking stuffers.

I usually mail the cards out the last week of Nov. or the first week of Dec.

I have had the checker in WM yell at me every year on BF. It's always the same lady. No matter what I do, I end up in her line and she is so mean. But I have told my mom that this year all bets are off, if she yells at me again, part of my BF money will be used for bail money.

I have a white tree for all of my snowman and snowflake ornaments I have been collecting for years, and I have a green tree with homemade ornaments on it. I also have a few that are really special to me that go on the tree every year.

Never have had to go unload before, we take the two back seats out of my van and stuff everything in there. It's better than a truck cause we can lock it up and if it rains, nothing gets wet!LOL

There are alot of people from Ohio here and there is a thread in the GottaTalk Lounge for people in Ohio. You might want to check it out and see because they are very nice people.

Our Hasting's Books, Music, and Video have all of them. They have the villages and the plush characters. I think they also have all of the movies. I got a Rudolph village set there after Christmas last year for $4.00!

I am getting the ones at RadioShack for my kids as stocking stuffers and they can use them for pics when they go out with friends. I'm not expecting much out of them but I am not going to pay $100 for cameras for them until I see how they will take care of these.

It all depends on the child. My girls are 12 and 13 and they bothe want the Care Bears. I am getting a CPK Baby for myself because I still have mine from way back when and I am thinking ahead, they will be great gifts at great prices if you need one during the year.

WalMart's sale starts at 5am this year so it is a good idea to go there first and get out so you can get to other stores for their 6am sales. That's what I do, but I have learned alot here, and you have to do some research at your stores if you are not familiar with their BF policies. Alot of stores are different in different areas. It will be alot easier for you if you know ahead of time what to expect and you won't waste valuable time. Hope this helps! You can find several posts if you look further back and see what alot of people plan to do and some may even be in your area.

I start with a HUGE shopping list and by the time BF comes around, I've thinned it out alot. Depends on our available money for presents, and what's a good buy. They are always happy with what they get, sometimes alot, sometimes a few items that they really want.

I use all white lights on my trees and I use white and colored lights outside.

Had a great time in chat last night but couldn't stay long. I just love all of these great people here are just like me...crazy about BF!!!!LOL

I have five kids in school. 2nd grader has 4 teachers, 4th grader has 4 teachers, 6th and 7th graders each have about 8 teachers, and 11th grader has about 10 teachers. Give me a break!!!LMAO! If they do not appreciate the gift they get from my kids, I'm sorry, but I can NOT spend $50-$100 on each teacher! I make sure that they know throughout the year how much they are appreciated by me and my kids. I hope that they know that it is the thought that counts and that when you have more than one child in school, not everyone can afford expensive gifts. I would like to think that they appreciate what every child brings and that there are alot of kids/parents who could care less when it comes time to give gifts to the teacher.

Starting the first Saturday of December we will be going to our town's Christmas parade (all of my kids are in it this year), opening of Winter Wonderland (local park where different groups will play and sing Christmas music every night and you can walk through the park and see all kinds of decorations), local Christmas craft fair, drive through town to look at lights, go to Christmas plays and concerts that the kids will be having, go to local churches for living Nativitys, go to church choir Christmas concerts, and the Community Theatre is doing "A Christmas Story" this year. Can't wait to see that.lol Other than that, we just look in the local paper and find out what's happening in our area. I take the Garden Clubs' "Tour of Homes" every year but that's not for the kids,lol. It's a tour sponsored by the local Garden Clubs of some of the Historic homes and other homes all decorated for Christmas.

Can't wait! I am going to TiVO SVU tonight so I don't miss anything!lol Already getting everything done so that I can stay for awhile!
