I know that two years ago at our WM a lady was in electronics when we got there at 3am. She was in a wheelchair and had been sitting there since 10pm. All she wanted was the GameCube. The employee made sure that she got one and I thought that was great. I know that if you were in my area I would be happy to help you out. There are a few things that my mom and I will be picking up for her cousin who is disabled. If you ask at your WM they will probably help out.

I am wanting the desktop, but can I buy it online? I hope so. Mom is getting the laptop from WM but that's a little out of my range with five kids to buy for!LMAO

I would definitely rather they use the ticket system. It would make it so much easier and maybe our WM wouldn't have as many fights as they have in the past.

No problem, just that I went to the store evryday trying to get the ad and even Thanksgiving night and the store employees still said they had no ads. Also, I have subscribed to the paper for several years and the ads were not in it. That's about all, the other ads are always in the paper, just hard trying to get the WM ad around here lately. You were lucky because BF morning the store was full of people trying to see the ad at about 3:30 to 4am.

We have a Belk store but I haven't gotten an ad from there yet. I usually go there after WM, Radio Shack, and JCPenny. They have always had really good BF deals in the past.

Last year the ads were not in all of the papers. We got a copy of the ad when we got to the store. The year before that the ads got sent to the Sulphur Springs store and we did not get them. This year the STORE manager said that the ads will NOT be available until Friday morning as we enter the store. Why did you have to wait outside at 2am. Our WM has not closed before BF since it became a 24 hour store?

I don't think it's unfair at all. She wants one and our WM doesn't allow them to purchase blitz items if they are scheduled to work that day. She is getting what she wants and so am I. As for the location, not sure if they will all be the same. Our laptops will be in the main aisle between the hardware section and the electronics. I have worked hard to get the info I have and I would suggest that everyone else do the same, as our WM has not even had the ADS for the past two years. So, if you think it's an unfair advantage, then maybe all of the other stores having the ads and our's not having them put us in an unfair position. It's not like she will be holding them for a long period of time. I will be in that store at 1am, and be parked where they will be coming to, all she has to do is pick them up and hand them directly to me. I'm not sure how your WM works, but our's brought out the GameCubes a couple of years ago in a cardboard box, because they only had about 13 of them. Then the employee who brought them out handed them out one at a time until the fights broke out. The Game Boy SPs will be handled in the same way. So, when you know all of the facts, it's really not unfair at all. And I am not someone who will push someone to get what I am after, I have never had to because I DO plan ahead.

Ross, you would be proud. LMAO I have been doing recon at WM for a week now! I even talked one of the guys there into letting me see the map Saturday. Now I know where the laptops will be and I will be in there no later than 1am as our store is NOT closing!!! Also, I have friends who will be working that day and I am getting some things for them so they are going to let me know on my walkie talkie when they are about to come out with the laptops and the portable DVD players. The girl in electronics is a friend who is going to hold onto two GameBoy SPs until I can get my hands on them!!! Let the games begin!!!

My WM does not give out tickets. They simply say "first come, first serve" until the very limited items run out.

The CPK Newborn will be laying down in the box, and it will say "Newborn" where the others say "Baby" on the box. It also has a red bow printed on the box. Hope that helps.

I have the ad that we have been seeing here, just higher prices on the computers. But I can't get the ad for the week. Only BF ad, and "online only" specials. YUCK!!!!

Our price will be $488 but the price is the same for all WMs in our area. Oh well, I guess it was wishful thinking to get the lower price. I am a little bummed but it won't affect my BF shopping as I wasn't going to get one anyway, but mom was. I'm sure she still will because don't have any BBs, CCs, or any other big electronics stores anywhere near here. I'm sure this is not the first time it has happened, just the first time we have noticed. I will still do most of my BF shopping at WM, because it's not the local stores fault.

I hope all of you guys get nice weather for BF. I on the other hand, wish we could get some snow.lol It's actually starting to get a little cool here finally. I think if we don't get some rain down here soon we will all dry up and blow away. I doubt that we would ever get the kind of weather it would take to keep me in on BF! It would have to be bad, because I would get the kids' wagon and go to WM, it's just about two miles down the road!LMAO

We send out store bought cards, usually bought after Christmas, and put a recent family picture in each one and everyone signs them.

Since the kids were all babies I have been quilting so I have made Christmas quilts for all of the beds over the years. When I find Christmas sheet sets on sale after the holidays at clearance prices I buy them. However, I end up using them all year.lol But I cannot afford to go and buy new holiday bedding at regular prices for 6 beds. If I could I probably still wouldn't pay full price. Just my opinion.

I would NOT take things from someone's hands, but I would NOT let them take anything from my hands or cart, either. I have witnessed several fights on BF in the past but have never been part of them. I certainly don't want to now. I will reach around them while they are fighting and take an item from the shelf or pallet. I like to get everything I am after but there is a line that I will not cross. And I have had a couple of people try to take something from my hand and my cart. There were a couple of slaps on the hands that followed. However, if someone tried to take something from my mom or my kids on BF, there would be alot of... !!!LMAO

It is greedy and that is the bottom line. Are you going to claim that is the only way to get the money? I doubt that. Excuses are like a....well I'mm sure you've heard it before. I don't know you personally and I have no idea what kind of person you are, but I know that those actions are greedy, inconsiderate, and selfish. There are no excuses for that.

I have to say that I am so proud that Mugs is such a wonderful person. You are so right, Mugs. I personally feel that even though we are all looking for great deals, it is still the CHRISTMAS SEASON!!! If you use this sort of situation to "get ahead" you are making yourself no better than all of the selfish, ignorant people we have to deal with all year. I am so proud of all of you who do as I do, if the chance is given to me and not someone else to get the hard to get items, I take them. Then in turn for my good luck, I will GIVE them to someone who wants or needs them. GET SOME HOLIDAY SPIRIT and SOME RESPECT FOR YOUR FELLOW MAN, and QUIT BEING SO GREEDY. You may need something from someone one day and not be able to pay for it, WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND!!!

I bought local and Dallas papers this morning and NOTHING!!! I am so upset, like the OP said, plenty of four day sales but NOTHING for BF! Our manager at WM says the ads will be available Friday morning when we come in, yeah right, like they will have them out at 1am when I get there. LMAO!!! And I need to see the ad BEFORE BF, not on BF!!! At least he showed me a map of where everything will be in the store. I guess that's better than nothing. Still wish I had those ADS, though!!

Right now it's 2:42 pm CST. I hope to be taking my much needed BF nap this time next Friday. lol Hopefully I will have ALL of my BF goodies wrapped, under the tree, and ready for Christmas!

I will be taking pics, for sure!lol I got my new camera a couple of days ago and I have been taking pics nonstop. This is my son's first BF and he's a little scared. He says it's not fair to teach him not to hit girls and then put him in a situation where it may be necessary. lmao He will be easy to ID, he will be wearing my Gottadeal t-shirt! I am going to try to get a pic of him TRYING to get my CP Newborns or the Care Bears w/ DVDs!LMAO BTW, he's 17 so this would be hilarious!

You are right about that! Things to get a little ugly in the toy dept. at our WM on BF. I have to have some of those also. I thought it would be nice to not have to worry about toys on BF, but after thinking about it, by the time my youngest two are too old, I'll probably have grandkids! :sidesplit

I checked batteries in walkie talkies today, got some great deals at Bath and Body, got BF shopping shirts for mom, daughter, me, and son, mailed cards for the card exchange, got ornament for the ornament exchange, and did some things that I know I will forget next week. Tomorrow is our BIG Christmas Arts and Craft Show so I am hoping to do well and have some extra money for BF. I know I will not be able to think straight after tonight.lol

The model that is going to be on sale is not out in the stores right now. I asked several people at WM and they all say the same thing. It is not one they keep instock. That was the case with the Singer sewing machines a couple of years ago on BF at WM, too.
