When we called one of our WM's, they said no to PM'ing the ads. Called the other and the lady said that they price match everyday. Ended up going to the one that said they were not PM'ing, since there are other stores pretty much right next to it. The two people in front of us in line were PM'ing everything, and told the cashier that they asked 3 different employees and they said that they were PM'ing today. Of course, we didn't have an ads with us. We went to CC after that, which was mobbed and the lines were not moving, and after about 30-40 minutes, grabbed an ad and went back to WM. Got in the line we were in originally, and the cashier was price matching for the people in front of us to CC's ad. A manager even came over at one point and after a few minutes pretty much okay'ed it. The register in front opened up, so we went to that one, and the cashier said they weren't PM'ing. We pointed to the cashier that was doing it and told her about the manager being there, but she waited to ask someone. Fortunately, the lady she asked said that they were not supposed to, but if it was between 5-11 AM, and it was the exact same item then they would do it. Everything was pm'ed, and then when I went to pay another lady had to come over and the cashier told her she had to do price overrides and the other lady started talking about how they're not allowed to do it today and what-not. WM should have decided on yes or no, not that some people would do it and others wouldn't. I hate going there to begin with, so if they PM'ed people who were in front of me in line, and not me, that would have been the end lol.

If you're planning on going tonight to wait in line, then I suggest going before midnight to catch up with the other people who will be going to wait for the doorbuster deals. The ticketed items don't make it far in the line, so you'll want to be one of the first few there. -

You should be able to get the supplies to make one at Walmart or any craft store. -

Yeah, this goes for almost any electronics or cell phones. There's about a 90 day period where they fix the problems. -
No, they're the coupons from the toy book. I used the Cranium one from the toy book online yesterday with no problem. Which one(s) did you have problems with?

The system has only been out for 3 days, relax. You're also better of checking around your local area's retailers than online. Didn't someone on here post up yesterday or so about his/her Costco having about 22 of them sitting there? Keep calling them up, and if not this week, there's always next week. -
The WM BF deal seems best, unless you get a bundle. Sony doesn't want to budge on the $199 price tag right now, so the only other way to get a deal is maybe on a bundle pack online + some coupon code(s).

What electronics does he have that he uses the most? Try looking for add-ons or accessories, or pick him up a new(er) gadget. I always had a problem with my boyfriend when it came to the holidays and his birthday. He has a tendency to rush out and buy what he wants when he wants it, so now a month or two before the holiday, I tell him that he's not allowed to buy anything that he may want, and it's worked out pretty good so far lol. So if there are any games that are coming out soon, or one that recently came out that he doesn't have yet, you could be able to pick that/those up for him.

Tapeless vs. DVD Camcorders
civicracinggirl7 replied to Cheyfamily's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
The model number is DCR-HC32 . I pulled up an Amazon page with it, and one review says that the software included doesn't work well with Windows XP Service Pack 2. I have only used the camcorder with my Mac to transfer to the computer, so I have had no problem. I am not sure if this is a common problem or not, and since my PC is dead right now, I can't check it out on mine. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-DCR-HC32-Handycam-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B0007M3PKI -
I'm going to imagine you mean the GB Advance SP. There are a couple of places that look to have it cheap on BF (about $50). If you're looking for the original Advance, then you may have to check eBay, I'm not sure if it's still sold in stores.

That price drop won't happen until next year at the earliest, I'd bet. The PS3 is out, but it's not readily available.

I picked up the Little Tikes for my youngest niece (3, 4 in Jan.) during the TRU B1G1 sale. She had a no-name brand before, and it had to get trashed after it just kept falling apart. She has other Little Tikes toys that hold up very well, so I thought that was a good one for her. -
Best Deal for Da Vinci Code Dvd?
civicracinggirl7 replied to tazolover's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I got a Circuit City email that had it listed for $13.99 . You can pick up in-store, so you'd just have to pay the sales tax in addition, like you would at WM anyway. -
You'll either need to go with a bundle pack or find a coupon code. The PS2 shouldn't drop to the $99 price tag until the PS3 is out in large numbers, and even then it may remain at $129. If you don't care if it's new or used, then check eBay.

Tapeless vs. DVD Camcorders
civicracinggirl7 replied to Cheyfamily's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Since you don't need anything crazy, you should opt for a MiniDV. I got a Sony one this past year. The tapes are pretty cheap, and you can hook it up to your computer to do any editing you may want to do (even if you're a beginner with editing, you should be able to get the hang of it quickly with iMovie on a Mac or there should be a program on your PC if you're running Windows -- I forgot the name of it). Or you can hook it up to your TV using the A/V cables and watch it as soon as you are done filming... but you still have the luxury of being able to edit, erase, etc., which I think would be harder to do with a DVD one. PLUS, they are very inexpensive now. Mine cost $400 in March, and now I'm seeing some for under $200. -
Yeah, if you don't have a Tivo yet, then go for that if there are some shows you like watching regularly. The monthly charge is probably cheaper with your cable provider though if you get one of their DVR's rather than the Tivo unit. I have DirecTV, and pay $5.99/month for the Tivo charge rather than the $13 or so that it would cost if I had one of the actual Tivo units. Of course, if you have DirecTV, try to find one of the DVR's that has the Tivo software on it. They're only 40gig drives (approx. 35 hours of time), but I've heard terrible things about the new units that use a different software. :)

$100 have to spend 8yo boy & 2yd girl
civicracinggirl7 replied to jarerice's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Beware of the electric scooters at TRU. I have forgotten what brand it was, but the little boy I babysit for (7) bought one. They got it home, and his mom got it together, then found that the bottom was cracked. Of course, TRU wouldn't accept it on a return, so they had to get a hold of the manufacturer. The manufacturer shipped out an entire new scooter, which took a couple of months to arrive. The boy has a sister (10 now), so they figured if they could try to fix the original one, then she could have that one. Well, I put the second scooter together, and the front wheel couldn't turn all of the way without hitting the plastic on the base. It was set up properly, but the parts just didn't sit right when it was together. I had to loosen some of the screws on the base to lift the plastic part so that it would solve that problem. For about $80, you shouldn't have to worry about poor manufacturing, but apparently you do -
eCost.com- NINTENDO WII $399- PRE-ORDER
civicracinggirl7 replied to mom04's topic in Online Hot Deals
If it's not a bundle, it's not worth it. Word is that Nintendo will release enough Wii's to cover the demand before Christmas, so just wait it out for a preorder from a local store, or until after they're released. -
If they're rather young yet, you may want to look into the Nintendo GameCube. You can get it for about $99.99 at most retailers, or you can get some bundle packages for maybe $129 or $149. There are a lot more child-oriented games for that console as well, and with the games being a few years old, you can get them at good prices.
