  1. Have the sugar cookie dough in the frig...will either roll out today or tomorrow to bake and frost. May make a batch of spritz too cuz I forgot about them and LOVE them!
  2. Wow, umm...I am not sure what to think or say...cuz so much depends on what sort of gifts you gave her in the past. And considering you are ok with it, I guess it is a moot point. I would never do that. If I would have found a list like that, I would have told my dh. If the list contained things that I didn't want him to buy, I would come clean on that also. But dh and I buy things together typically. Dh knows that I am a bit difficult to buy for...and prefers to buy me little things as surprise gifts. Bigger things he prefers to let me help him out.
  3. My dd started was over Bratz by 11.
  4. I have found wonderful luck at Pier 1. This summer I found an 8x10 rug for 75% off...and this fall I found another 5x8 for 75 off with an extra 20 off. Thinner, less pricey ones can be found at Target etc. I found my first rug for under 100 at Kmart. Then the more I looked the more I could find the bargains. But it is hit and miss and they are sooooo expensive!
  5. Although I always hope this thread stays on topic, I feel I must add a point. No employee is taking every product marked down. There are often more than one product. If we, as consumers, wait for that one extra mark down and there is only one left and the worker buys it, congrats to that person for their patience and perseverance also. However, coming from a retail stand-point, I believe that hiding a product, not just moving it, but hiding it, is much the same as stealing. If the product is not easily visible for spot check inventories etc, it is considered no longer in the store and is essentially a loss to the store. Losses are made up at some point, no doubt about that. Finding clearance should be serendipity. If we know of its possible existence, which is why Gator Pam began this thread, it aides the hunt. Sharing our finds should be fun. If you feel you can hide a product, then employees can hide it by putting it in the back so you can't find it and they can purchase it. Just my thoughts... On a side note...I cannot wait to see what is out in the Global section this year!
  6. I think they gave you bad info: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2007/11/28/110122.php
  7. They get stuff all year and mess with our stuff too...so nope! They usually do not get a gift on Christmas.
  8. When I do wrap, I never put names on my kids gifts. Instead I put letters standing for what is in the box. Last year one was like KKY: it was a knifty knitter and yarn. That way I know what the gift is before they open it in case we want to open one early.
  9. 4. I'm dreaming of a White Christmas 5. We 3 Kings of Orient Are 6. It Came upon a midnight Clear 12. Let it snow
  10. I dislike wrapping. What a waste of money. Even with deals and mark downs, bows and ribbons and paper and tape...all to be tossed aside like a bad prom dress. I have been known to just bag it or hide it unwrapped and give clues so they can find it.
  11. Sorry got caught by despair.com... Loving the No stupid question..but a lot of inquisitive idiots..LMFAO
  12. Why not just make one? Or give her the stuff to make one? Knifty Knitter comes in a scarf form and some yarn and she can make it as long as she wants....
  13. It depends on the bottling company. If Pepsi distributes those in your area, it may work on those also.
  14. Bottled by Pepsi..so Mt Dew etc At my Target it was the 24 oz bottle 6 pks too.
  15. Each store is very individual as far as clearanced from what I have noticed. It also depends on the days you visit and the time of the day. I do not always find things that are listed here as each store marks down when that store needs to mark things down to make room for the new. What I have found that helps is to read the very first post and then just visit my local store often and notice the changes. The first post gives guidelines and by visiting your store often, you can adjust. Some stores just have less clearance too. If you have that instance, perhaps you need to grab things at the first mark down instead of hoping for more. I know if I really love something, I grab it at the very first. I don't chance it anymore.
  16. $10 off $75 or more oldnavy.com 12/7-12-13 only enter MYFRIEND at checkout
  17. So much prettier if it was at least 100!
  18. What happens tho if you leave a gift in the box and it is a substitute mail carrier? Is it like tips then? Do they make sure the right one gets it?
  19. It depends... Last year my dd 12, wanted the Penguin from Happy Feet. I thought...cute right? So I ordered it and she loved it. But of course she is now 13 and it just sits in her room. Now this year I read about Rudolf and Clarice at BAB and thought...ooo cute! But for almost another 50 to just sit in her room? Sometimes I think they just think...CUTE! And don't really think...Will I play with it? So as long as you bought some awesomely wonderful stuff, which it sounds like you did, I do not think you are taking any fun out of it.
  20. Looks like you can buy a case here: http://www.herrsstore.com/ke55ozba.html
  21. Periodically I see Ketchup flavored chips and I am not in Canada... Here is a link: http://www.ketchupworld.com/hekepoch.html Crap..now it says not available...sorry! If I find them someplace else I will let you know.
  22. I thought I heard phone cards are a great gift for those overseas....easy to pack up too!
  23. With all of what I hear about the questionable service etc from Tru lately, I am not sure if I would even bother complaining. I have a feeling they will comment some nonsense about how busy it was on BF. Especially if you do not know the pushers name.... It doesn't make it right tho and I am sorry that it happened to you and most especially that it still is bothersome to you. Know in your heart that the chick was wrong and you did nothing improper in the least.
  24. Target also carries a designer with new bags at the front of their bag section. Usually there is a large sign denoting the designers name on top of the display. This is the current designer collection: http://www.target.com/b/ref=sc_iw_r_2_0_12940921_1/601-4766010-8433704?ie=UTF8&node=321251011 Looks like the bags run under 50.
  25. Well, heck, I am having a bag party in a month or so but they are not knockoffs! I am hosting a Beijo bag party.
