  1. My dd told me a few years ago about how all the kids buy clothes at Aeropostale so of course we tried some. I have to agree with you...what crap! My dd was just mentioning to me how her friends still shop there and I thought that perhaps the quality had changed...apparently not. Thanks for sharing so I can save my time and money! :)
  2. That is exactly what I receive. However, as I mentioned, occasionally no coupon...not sure if someone else decided they needed it more or there just wasn't one.
  3. They are advertised typically in with the Target bill info. Occasionally a cashier will mention them also.
  4. Those may be regional. I have found my coupons like that on the Target catalogs that occasionally come in the mail. Sometimes they come without coupons, sometimes with so I am never sure if they come off in the mail process as they are usually on the outside. Otherwise I have received clipless coupons but nothing else. Now clipless has stopped also.
  5. It was explained in this post: Originally Posted by cokemeyer I'm sure this has been discussed before but here is a just a plug for getting a Target Visa if you have been considering it. It is extremely easy to rack up enough points to earn the 10% off coupon each month (non-Target purchases count too), and even if you don't, all you have to do is occasionaly put one big purchase on the card to get plenty of points as they just roll over to the next month if unused.
  6. Occasionally an item is missed or they are working on the markdowns at that moment and do not get to your item. You can use a scanner to see if it is lower than the tag. For example...You see a comforter for 50% off but read here or saw other comforters that were 75% off. You can scan it to see if the comforter you picked is priced 75% off or you can ask a friendly mark down team member. The scanner helps you know before you get to the register if it is cheaper. I have been pleasantly surprised when reaching the register. One time I bought a pillow for 50% off but when I checked out, it was 75% off. I walked outside, put my package in my vehicle and went back to get more.
  7. It depends on the store. I have read in this thread where people get extra off displays that are being clearanced, broken GB etc. However in my store, when I have asked management, the answer has been NO. I was told GB can be sent back to manufacturer to get credit which is why they would not mark it down any further. So it really depends on what the store decides to do. Do not be upset if your store decides to not mark it down any further.
  8. Usually they do not sell them. However, some have had luck if they ask. I recently asked about a Kitchen Aid but decided against it after they said yes.
  9. Yep, apparently that is the new policy. You can return an item without receipt only 2 times per year, I believe, and under 20.
  10. Ok...here is my point: If you have an issue with a price, ask to see the manager, and continue insisting on seeing THE manager. Be as polite as possible and write down names and time and what they say. THEN, if you are not happy, call corporate. All of this other stuff is just not necessary. I think we have all found something priced wrong. If the store doesn't give it to you for that price, we, as consumers, have a decision to be made: Shop there or not shop there. I have seen pricing issues and occasionally I have not gotten the price. I, as a consumer, make my decision with my pocket book. That is my opinion.
  11. Maybe if it never sells. But honestly I never see make up much more than 15-30. Sometimes manufacturers will give credit on make up if returned to them so probably not.
  12. If you didn't read the first post of this thread, that will help answer your question. But as it states, it does depend so much on the individual stores. Some mark down quicker, some mark down after others do. The easiest thing I have found is to visit your local Target at least once a week. I found that when I go on different days, I found different stuff. Since I cannot always go every day of the week, I found the day I am most happy with and I go on that day almost every week. I rarely scan items. Deals can be found by signs in main aisles but most leftover items are on the ends of each aisle. I rarely walk down aisles. I walk down the ends of the aisles and look down the aisles to see if there are any red clearance signs/stickers/markdown areas. If I have time, I will walk any aisle that has stuff I really like. Currently, I am extremely interested in some bedding. I know that eventually it will be marked down. So at least once a month, I check it out to ensure it is on the shelf hanging out at regular price. The reason people speak of scanning is because sometimes the scan/markdown team misses items. So just because it never hurts, if you see something you really want and hope it is marked down, scan it to see what price it will ring up. Most Target Junkies will visit many stores. I have noticed that the store I find the most deals in is the one that I am closest in proximity to and thus have the chance to visit more often and know the way it works. And I have figured out things as I have gone along. For example, just recently, I was watching for some new air fresheners that were supposed to be shipping. When I was in one Target, they had marked down some of the old air fresheners to make way for the new. Yet my closest Target did not mark down the air fresheners for at least 3 weeks after I saw the exact same ones marked down in another. So...if people post, it doesn't mean you will find it in your store. But if it is something you are interested in, you can look for it. Realize however, that people in your area may be reading this thread too so once something is posted, it has a higher likelihood of being sold out. As with all things, you have to know what you are willing to pay for something and what you are willing to let go because it isn't the right price. I recently bought some GB items for 30% off because I wanted them and I didn't want them to be gone. When GB went down to 50%, I went back to purchase more items that at 50%, I was willing to pay. However, there are still items that I would purchase for 75% but am willing and completely understand that by waiting, I could easily lose them. Just recently I lost the chance to get the little frigs. I watched them sit at 30% forever. Then they went to 50% and I stared at them. However I decided to wait. Whether they went to 75% and sold or they salvaged them, I have no idea...but they were completely gone and I missed them. Hope that helps. But please do read the first post. It helps greatly.
  13. Usually yes. It depends on how much has been sold. Seems as if GB went 30% and 50% earlier this year so it is hard to guess when it will go 75%. And all stores do not change percentage at the same time as others. So much depends on sales in the individual stores. Best thing to do is to watch the thread and then check out your store.
  14. What I have noticed is that because of the reasonable sales they were running on the GB, many of the items have sold through already. A chest I had my eye on sold out when it was on sale for almost 50% off. A large platter I also had my eye on was completely sold out in the stores when they had it on sale. I was glad I bit the bullet and bought it at the original price.
  15. Some items if defective are not returnable but are guaranteed by the manufacturer, not the retailer.
  16. Yes. That is the nature of furniture like that. We always call the number and get replacement pieces if something is missing or broken. It happens often.
  17. Yep, I think this may be the issue with attempting to return the Shutterfly. GiftCards, e-GiftCards, pre-paid music, game and phone cards cannot be returned. Refund value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect value of free gift or discount. Other restrictions may apply. I did note that previously someone mentioned the 1800 number for Shutterfly. If there is a problem with the activation or it working properly etc, call them for help in the matter.
  18. Katiesmommy01: Since you originally purchased the Shutterfly for ITEM NOT FOUND, it could be why it was difficult for you to return it. However, when you had the person in charge who opened up the line for you, what did they say about it?
  19. If you saw the item on the shelf at the 75% clearance price, you buy it at the 75% price. You then return one of the items with the 50% receipt. If you no longer have the receipt, you are out of luck. If you do not see the item on the shelf for 75% off, then unless you want to roll the dice, you are probably best off to just be happy with the 50% off.
  20. We get these: http://www.boomerangtags.com/ Love em because they hook onto the collar and cannot get caught on things.
  21. Ours were in electronics but they could be anyplace from there to near the books to any end cap around there. Mine were thrown in by the electronic markdown.
  22. The Tide mark down could be due to the compacting of liquid laundry detergent that is occurring in waves across the country. All liquid laundry detergent manufacturers have chosen to become green by compacting their liquids, thus more product in a smaller bottle and less waste. I have been watching for Tide or other regular detergents to be marked down and have not seen a thing. If you are in an area where there are still regular liquid detergents on your shelves, you can try scanning any flavor of those. NO regular 1x detergent will remain on the shelf once your area has gone through the wave of compaction. This includes most other manufacturers of laundry detergent like Purex, All, Arm and Hammer etc. If you already see shelves full of 2x or 3x only detergents, your wave is over and you will not find any markdowns as the 1 x ones are no longer around.
  23. According to Betty Crocker, there is no cherry chip. Looks like plain cherry in each but no chip. Cherry chip cake mix should be available from Betty also. Since it probably isn't a huge seller, you may only find it around this time of the year or at large warehouse type stores that do a larger amount of business. Ask at your local store for a request card and you should be able to see if the store you frequent can get it for you. Good luck! Made me hungry so I know I will be looking for a mix tomorrow!
  24. If you are employed by a mystery shopping organization you do have to give you ss# as part of your employment. However if you are not sure of the validity of an organization, I would not do so.
