*raises hand* I definitely plan to do any BF shopping from the comfort of my home :) Actually got a jump on things anyway with recent Kohl's sales - I think this is the most I'll ever have had done before BF!

Wow, I just got a message this morning that the awesome order I placed overnight Tuesday/Wednesday is ready to be shipped! Hooray for Kohl's!

Do we really need a thread just for people to say they're disappointed? If so, we may as well have one for each store's ad, because half the people that see any given one will be unhappy. Really, though, people should know better - TRU in particular never has the hottest toys for good deals...and why would they? You're gonna buy them anyway!

I'm actually gonna be a dissenting opinion and say I think this is a good ad! I didn't have any specifics I was looking for, but there's a broad range of things for different ages, lots of basic gifts for people shopping for kids other than their own children, a good number of 50% off things...

Just FYI, first thing I checked out was that cash register, as I'm looking for one this year...reviews say it's a total piece of junk. *sigh* Back to the drawing board.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but that Barbie car is currently $26.99 on the site...if you have a Kohl's charge the extra 30% off code knocks it down to $18.89, no rebate needed. Also there's a code for free shipping on any order, also for Kohl's charge customers.

In-store stock varies quite a bit...it's hit-or-miss.

Amazon often matches (orcomes close on) BF DVD sales at the big stores.

That's not true of me at all...I've been around quite a while, and I know what is and is not a good ad; in my opinion, this is not a good ad. Aside from a few items, the rest of my xmas shopping is wide open, meaning I have a vague idea of what I might like to get for most people but I tend to choose things based on seeing good deals, rather than decide I need to get X, Y and Z and then search for a deal on those specific items. With this ad, I didn't see more than two things that caught my eye as a good enough deal that I might want to get them regardless of what I had planned to shop for. Basically, even if it doesn't interest me, I have an idea of what's a good Black Friday deal...and in this case, Target has no idea.

A lot of indie mineral makeup companies make stuff that's supposed to be much better quality than the mainstream stuff. I highly recommend checking out makeupalley.com to read reviews and see what people on the boards there have to say; I've seen this asked quite a few times there.

Isn't that the same Blu Ray player that Sears has in their ad? I usually scowl at people who say this, but the phrase 'not impressed' comes to mind - and I'm quite easy to please!

Did we ever resolve the online vs in-store Kohl's Cash thing? The catalog I just got says what you earn the 10th through 15th is redeemable in store only the 16th-24th...what gives?

No, when the ads hit everyone complains that they aren't as good as they'd hoped and swears the previous year's were better...THEN a few days later they get excited.

Midnight Eastern is a safe bet for a lot of places, but yeah, it changes...I was able to do almost all of my BF shopping online last year!

This is amazing! I think I had every single thing on the page of the '88 catalog with the Fisher Price kitchen! My friend is getting her daughter a kitchen this xmas, and my mom and I were just talking about how nothing compares to the old Fisher Price one! It's so true!
