I get kids meals all the time, your right how would they know. I think it kinda of sucks that you can't order a kids meal at restaurants. Sometimes that is all I want....

We do advent calendars each year, the kids have a chocolate one and than I get my son the Playmobil or Lego one and My daughter I end up making one with an old Playmobil one, I use earrings, hair things, gloss etc.....The actually calendar is great for generic using. I did see the one at Costco, I thought it was beautiful and didn't think the price was expensive considering its used every year. The Playmobil ones are like $15 or so.....

So this is only available in three states

If you are buying for a little girl, Target has it for $15.99 (not the best price) but if you buy the Wedding Ariel set for $15.99 plus the DVD, than you get a free Ariel Wedding dress for a little girl, its $24.99(dress with play jewelry and headpiece), great gift or Halloween costume. It is the 2 disc DVD and comes with a free Lip Gloss Ariel bracelet. This is not online and dresses are limited..... http://akimages.crossmediaservices.com/dyn_li/199.0.88.0/Retailers/target/061001_p08al_0t0ot_7a.JPG http://akimages.crossmediaservices.com/dyn_li/300.0.90.0/Retailers/target/061001_p03gc_f62v5_cmb_1syc.JPG

Congrats on getting one for your grandson and leaving at least one for someone in line behind you. I think what is interesting is our paper didn't have the flyer in it today (not that unusual) but if they are distributing the paper tomorrow with the ad, alot of people are going to be rushing there and they are sold out. I don't think lots of 36 or 50 are meeting the demand and not all are on the net to know of it ahead of time. Or maybe the ad was mailed, not sure since our paper sometimes doesn't have enough ads to include it in our home delivered one....I know stupid, I have called them and told them that I pay the same as everyone else, why does our town get picked not to have the ads (we are just outside a little larger city) but wow, I feel for the worker tomorrow (or actually later today) who have to deal with the people as they miss out for the second round.....

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
Stowasser replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I would pay up to $39.99, which I think if they think its from the old stock would be the most they would charge for it. One thing is the video is suppose to be put out on the first, it might show up in the system starting tomorrow. I would love to find some at your $15 LOL, that was a steal! I think finding the mix sticks for that price is great. I would even love to find the new 512mb ones for that price....If they have Tinkerbell and cars or pirates would even be better LOL Keep us updated if you find any. -

I was talking with the guys in electronics and the one that I talk with often (sees me in there all the time) says it is due out either tomorrow on the first or shortly after. I also found some of the mix sticks that were alot more storage, I might get those and sell off the ones that I have but if you find another 2, I would be so interested in them. The kids want MP3 players and this would be fantastic to get them. What a great find, definitely someone wasn't paying attention. Oh, the new mix sticks were on the old clearance tag so I ask about them since they wouldn't scan and the guy pulled them till tomorrow since they were not in the system.... -

One thing I want to add that if you shop when the season is not upon us you tend to save money, first because you are probably buying something on sale or clearance, second because you don't feel the pressure that comes around at the holiday times. I noticed that if I have most of the stuff, I am more controlled over what else I add but if I feel that I am short, I tend to go overboard and of course the sales may not be as good as earlier in the year. Of course, the kids always come up with things that I didn't even think they were interested in....LOL

Well, I have gotten the kids the Disney Mix Sticks (sale at Disney.com was $39.99 or $29.99 with a $20 giftcard), Disney Speakers for the Mix sticks, LaserTag 4 different sets, CD's, lots of clothing, Pixtar with games (or whatever they are it plays), jewelry, ton of stocking stuffers (Target when $1 bin went clearanced), have some other things that I have stashed from clearance shopping but can't remember. I am just moving everything over to my parents house who winter in Florida so that I can see what I have and whats going to come up on their list. But seeing most people here with a good start on their shopping, glad I am not the only one who started soon after Christmas last year...LOL Oh, got alot of Tinkerbell items for my daughter who is going through that phase right now.

I think I have one of these somewhere, I got it on clearance at Target? I may have just left it behind since the kids don't play the plug/plays all that often but I am not one to leave things behind so its in the garage somewhere. They were like 1.74 or something like that.

Yes and just found out there is one on Christmas, might tune that in! Maybe on a new TV....LOL

So sorry that you had a hard time, if you don't want to go back, it would make a gift to someone else or sell them on ebay LOL One thing I have found, is make a complaint online through their main website, yes they gave you coupons for free food but I think making the main corporation aware there is a problem is well worth the 15 mins. If people don't complain to the corporation, they don't know what restaurants are not following their policies. I did this recently with a bad McDonald's visit. I simply stated that service was below their level of standards, the food was cold and the personnel really didn't respond as they should of. Well, I got a call from the manager of several area McDonalds and we talked abit about this particular restaurant and the problems we have encountered there on more than several occasions. She sent us some coupons and we tried them out again, the service was so much better. I think they took it to heart and tried to fix the problem. Not that this works with all but it is well worth the time to comment on it. They might be wondering why that particular restaurant is doing poorly and seek a remedy, maybe its the staff or its the management. I feel that if you are getting poor service on more than one occasion that is management, they are either not paying attention or training their personnel the proper job. -
I have heard that there will be more released soon, when I talked with the asst mgr at Walmart, she keep saying next shipment, next shipment comes in which at least they are under the impression they are getting more. She said they were limiting them to 2 per person, I wish all stores would of taken on that as an across the board policy to limit it to 2. Yes you could go out and come back in but that leaves time for others to get some too. Watch for preorders too, Fisher Price had it for awhile, some may open up for preorders that would come in before the holidays.

Whenever I find a deal, I picked it up, could be for Christmas, Birthdays etc. Alittle harder with kids and their toy choices but generally already have MP3 players for the kids (a big want) and little stuff. I also got stuff on clearance at Target during the summer and as I see something that I think someone will like, I pick it up. I don't wait for BF since you don't know if it will be on sale or what will be on sale. Just got some Grandparents gifts with the free photo calendars from Snausages, they are great. Always looking for the unique and low cost or free items.

Have you tried Target lately, there are two sections in our store that have some-Electronics on endcap near the TV's and in the book/CD section on an endcap near the middle of the movies on the back wall. There were quite a few to pick from about $7-9 but some were discounted further today.

Stowasser replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I am with you, I can never find the clearance stuff at Walmart, ours turned into a Super one and is pretty large. In fact, there today and two elderly woman were so lost, they were trying to find light bulbs and had been back and forth trying to find them, I told them where it was but I get it....I love Target, I go in there more now than into Walmart. Their prices are fine and love their clearance! -
Official Photo Prints Deals, Codes & Discount Offers Thread
Stowasser replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
Thats what I did, of course found some more so probably do another run at it. The shipping is high but when you take your total and divide by the number of prints, mine came out 5 cents a print, can't match that anywhere and thats with a photo CD with it too.....My mother did hers too, I received notification the next day that it was done, I was shocked it was processed that fast.... -
Well, I don't think its sacreligious but it would be nice if all the stores were closed T-day and Christmas so that people can have a day with their families but on the same vein, my husband doesn't get paid holidays so if he takes off, he works another day for it or we just don't have his income for that day. He works all days like memorial, labor, president day-anyday like that. There are also people that really don't celebrate Thanksgiving and would prefer maybe to out shopping instead of home since they have it off. I use to work in a Video shop when I was in college and volunteered to come in and work since I didn't have family to be with so that some of the family people can have the time off. I hope that stores give a choice to employees to work those days and pay them extra-I am sure thats not the case but nice thought huh.....LOL

Target has these in clearance, I missed out on the speaker thing for them....I guess someone didnt mind paying 15% off, I was waiting for 50%. But they were like $35 to $39. Right now there is a $10 off $50 at Disneystore.com but it may not apply to electronics.
