Am I the only one that doesn't go out on Black Friday?
Stowasser replied to LoveNcMountains's topic in 2007
I haven't had to go out on Black Friday, I have been able to find the things on the want lists by watching this site and buying when those things come up for sale. Most of the items I have been able to get online on Black Friday or thereabouts. I guess if something really spectacular comes up, I would venture forth but living in Montana, going out into the cold isn't my idea of fun. My step mother and I did venture out a few years in a row and it was fun. I guess we will see what comes up for sale this year....... -
Yesterday on Toys R us (online) it was coming in and out, might try there....We had success at Target and have seen them at Walmart

I just emailed and got a fast response on the 2 for 1. When you order, if you order quantity of 1, than you will get 2, so if you want 4, order quantity of 2. They said they were going to make it more clear on the website. So to get $10 worth, you will get 4 boxes...... -

LINENS N THINGS - BOUNCE HOUSE reg. $450 now $190
Stowasser replied to JBorman's topic in Offline Hot Deals
They had it online about two weeks ago for a week (online sidewalk sale type thing) and got it for $179 shipped (we don't have sales tax in MT and it was free shipping) My kids love shooting through the holes too (even more than the dodge ball part). You are brave to put it away LOL, we have it in a shady spot and think it will be ok but they are on it at least 5 times a day so packing it up would be alot of time:) -
Have you checked out Target and Walmart type stores, all the school stuff is starting to be put out.....

Oh i remembered that skip of markdowns, they were 30% one day and went in a few days later and it was 75% and of course nothing left. I would love to find some Lego sets for my son, that is all he wants for Christmas. -

remodeling bathroom need advice
Stowasser replied to lisamag's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Can I ask why are you paying anything for the remodel, as a landlord myself, I can't imagine any of our tenants paying for a remodel. If it is needed because fixtures are broken, than its the landlords obligation to do the repairs or replacement. Ok, onto your question LOL Lowe's and Home Depot have instore tile that generally falls around 90 cents a square foot, its nice because it is usually neutral and appeals to a wide variety of people. Tubs should be pretty reasonable and standard as well as sinks/vanitys etc. You could also get online Costco.com and they have some nice vanity/sink/cabinet combos that are very nice. You could find fixtures like faucets etc on eBay at very reasonable cost but again, these can be found at Lowes, Home Depot type stores. I know bigger areas also have large home improvement centers besides Lowes and Home Depot. Good luck with your project but I still think the landlord should pay for the fixtures, tile and labor to remodel a bathroom that doesn't work (if its just asethetics than really not his obligation). JMHO :) -
help on carpet cleaner machine
Stowasser replied to naillady4jm's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Love my Bissell, its better than any rental machine and have done alot of rental apartments with it.... -
I checked out and after paying etc it kicked a bunch out of my order, I had already paid and finalized. I would of thought that would happen before I finalized and paid. Shipping was high but some of the stuff really adds to the shipping, like I was trying to buy the Ripstick for $25 and shipping was $14 for that alone so taking that out of the cart (which was OOS anyway) dropped the shipping by $14. It came out about $1 per item for shipping, so I looked at whether I wanted to pay the extra $1 and since I did, I ordered.....

LOL on the cat, ours did that, took us about an hour to find the puncture to fix! Glad to know you like the metal frame, we are going to have to go with it to get a bigger size and was wondering about it. Did you see or buy the one at Costco? or have you seen it, I have this funny question about it, on the display it shows a metal frame across the bottom, is this part of the pool or is it for displaying it? I can't image it having a metal tube bottom, it would be lumpy but just thought I would ask. I am guessing it has a frame on the bottom around the base and matching top ring and side tubes for stablity. I have never seen one set-up except the one at Costco. Waiting for it to come down in price, I am trying to get the biggest pool we can get for the money

:) I found the same thing happened with my kids, my son who wasn't into Legos suddenly loves them and missed out on all the good deals but the items I did buy he didn't want anymore. My daughter loved barbie and than she decided one day that she wanted to just play with Polly Pockets, so sell off all the Barbies and try to get the PP. Now they are getting out of the "toys" and more into the electronics so I know getting games for PS2 and Wii etc will be ok, also music for their MP3 players are a safe bet. Also had bought alot over the last couple of years for birthday presents but when the party rolls around, I am informed that the kids don't play with those particular ones anymore so I don't bother except on smaller things that I know they would like. It was easier when they were littler since you pretty much picked their gifts but as they get older, they have their own ideas (don't blame them LOL) I can still pick up stuff for parents etc, and certain things that I know they would enjoy (stocking stuffer type stuff). -
UPDATED! DisneyOutlet.com Overstock Sale this weekend only!
Stowasser replied to Fishboysmom's topic in Online Hot Deals
I don't think they are doing maintenance, their site always goes in and out on big sales. They don't have enough bandwidth or whatever to handle the volume, its always like this. You would think someone this big would have a fab site..... -
Is there another type of company with novelty items (4th of July) that is cheaper than oriental Trading or is Oriental Trading the cheapest.....Thank you

Well, got the Happy Summer items at 75% off.....had about one aisle left (one side) so I am thinking it went 75% yesterday or maybe the 50% really cleaned them out. On Thurs I went and it was all 30% so maybe Sat went 50% and today 75% but there was 4 full aisles of items (both sides) so they really clean them out. I got bunch of great stuff like lanterns, lights, cups, some three tray relish type holders, beach chairs, bowls, summer flip out floats (of course, the way our weather has been gonna never use them LOL). Happy with what we got, would have liked the coolers but got some littler ones for husband and kids so not too bad. -

When we went to Target on Thurs, the Happy Summer was 30%. For the people whose store has gone to 75%, did it go to 50% first and anyone approximately know how many days in between each reduction? We are going tomorrow so hoping it has gone down but if its only 50% etc, I wanted to try and figure out when it goes to 75%.....seems to have moved fast in some areas but we are just now kinda of getting warm, weird to have the summer stuff already clearing out LOL -

I don't think they price adjust anything in clearance, the only thing I know to do is buy the exact same one and return one with the higher priced receipt. At least, I have never had them price adjust clearance, LOL. -

LOL we are in Montana, we haven't even gotten into the 80's yet but thank you, I didn't even think of that. I usually clean it out and just put back in the receipts I think there might be a price drop etc on. -

Stowasser replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
On just normal clearance (which the summer stuff is considered), you can buy at the lower price and bring back the higher price item. If you have used the item, just remove the clearance sticker on the lower item and return it. Usually what I do is buy the lower price one and go to the car, remove the sticker and return it at that point, so that I don't have to bring it home. Do remember to bring your receipts (hint: I keep all mine in the car for at least 30 days so that I always have my receipts with me). There was lots of cute stuff in the Summer section, hoping to get it at 75%..... -
