  1. I thought Barnes and Noble had an ad out last year, but I think it'd be best to search whenever for a good book deal, I don't see BF as a great book buying day.
  2. Yeah in my one day of retail expierence, I learned quickly it was the shipping and unloading guys in the know. It seems slow this year to me as well, but I think its just because I haven't been as preoccupied with other things, so my mind is more focused on Black Friday.
  3. I was at the one in Columbia, MO and was in line for over an hour. I got there about 6:45 and got in line about 6:55. I finally got out of there about 8:20. It was awful. I usually don't mind lines on BF, because I understand its packed, but when lines DON'T MOVE AT ALL, then it get irritating. The clerks seemed very un organized, and lines were all around the store. I went to Best Buy right after, and was out in under 20 minutes (that included the 15 minutes I was looking for stuff). The lines are very neat at Best Buy, and the lines were neat. I admit it was after 8:30 when I got to BB, but if I'd arrived at CC at 8:30 I think I would have been in line well past 10. Circuit City usually gets the bulk of my business, but lately I've preferred Best Buy more, and after this BF, I doubt I go to CC at all, unless its too good of a deal to pass up.
  4. They had egg nog last year. It wasn't the best, but its the only one that I drank the entire bottle. I'd like to try these, as I have tried them the last two years. The Brussel Sprouts one was horrible. Turkey and Gravy was about as bad.
  5. Depending on where you live, I know that Nebraska Furniture Mart has deals. I'm not too sure on all the details, and I know of only two or three locations (Omaha, NE and Kansas City, MO). Also I would think places like Sears would have % off sales of furniture. I'm not too sure.
  6. I have been on here for 3 years now, but have been a BF shopper since I think 2003. So a 4 year veteran. Wanted to do it a lot longer though.
  7. I love Feliz Navidad. I cant get enough of it. I also like Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and funny songs too, like Rusty Chevrolet.
  8. I'd say 1947 Miracle On 34th Street is number 1. Christmas Vacation is also up there.
  9. I have to second Silent Night by Stevie Nicks. Just awful. I might be alone on this one, but I can't stand hearing Mahilia Jackson either. Really annoying.
  10. I said none of the above. Last year I think it was Ace Hardware first. I don't think Wal-mart will be first, and honestly, I bet Circuit City is leaked before Best Buy.

    Kmart ad

I think they aren't too bad. Maybe their approach isn't to get the diehard BF customers, but they know they have to have some deals or else nobody will stop in.
  12. You know that's a really good idea. I think I might do that this year.
  13. Mine happend on BF but wasn't realated to BF. I had just got done shopping when I got home at around 7:30-8 AM. My dad and I met my dad's friend (and longtime family friend). Anyway, they talked for about an hour. I went inside to set up the DVD/VCR that I bought. Anyway, later that day the friend my dad talked to died of what I think was a heart attack. It was only 4 hours after we talked to him. I felt bad because I kinda brushed him off that morning, and didn't say goodbye to him. Thanksgiving weekend has never been good to me anyway, 6 years ago, my grandpa died on Thanksgiving, it was my Senior year of H.S. then 3 years ago our close family friend dies on BF. A really sucky weekend, I guess thats why I shop BF to get my mind off of that stuff.
  14. Yeah, I'm not sure what way to go with this, a burner or a recorder. I want to copy old tapes, but it would be cheaper to buy a burner and get attachments.
  15. I wonder if I should buy some care Bears and put them on ebay. I've never sold on ebay, but this may be a great venture to try.
  16. I bought one of those that year. Slyvania brand. The DVD player stopped working after 6 months. I was so mad. I have only been able to use my computer to watch movies since then. It was 79 dollars, but when it came down to it, it was an overpriced VCR.
  17. I think I would buy a digital camera. I really want one, and I see some good BF deals on them. Now to choose which one. I guess I have some time to decide still.
  18. I'm curious too, I'm excited about the Best Buy card.
  19. Well, I'll be 2 for 2 this week, I have this Tuesday off again. I can't believe it. I'll try to make it back again.

    Box Sets

I haven't seen it, but its one of those shows that I would like to get around to watching. The same happened to Gilmore Girls. I didn't get into that until I saw reruns on the Family channel and I was hooked. Sports Night I got into when they show it on Comedy Central at 2 in the morning. But I may have to look for Boston Legal now that you suggest it.
  21. Yeah I better get Gilmore Girls soon. Its an addicting show. I too am an adult male that watches it. I have never seen a show like it.
  22. No those are 12 ounce for 99 cents. Its half that size. Imagine a shot glass with a frosty in it. They come usually with kid's meals instead of drinks if you dont want a drink.
  23. Not to sound real rude, but the free frosty coupons are a rip. They are really small and not really worth it. Honestly, I laugh at people when they come in and use them. They get mad because they think its a real big frosty, but its only 6 ounce.
  24. NO! No Fast Food BF deals. I work at Wendy's (inside a truck stop, we are open 24 hours). I get off work at 6:00 AM. If they had BF deals, I wouldn't be able to leave on time and miss all the BF deals.
  25. I think you can only redeem 3 dollars for a CD. I think thats one of the restrictions. It doesn't matter to me, I only have a whopping $1 in Best Buy Bucks. I work at Wendy's so what do you expect.
