Most of the stores that are displayed here. The only exception is K-Mart. We have a Bass Pro, but not as big as Springfield, and a Dick's just opened. However, if I had a choice, I would probably go to Springfield over Columbia. As far as the Lake, I'm not too sure if I'd head there, but I've never cared much for the Factory Outlet in Osage Beach.

I'm not sure if I need any buddies, but I am curious how many people on here plan to shop in the Mid Missouri area, specifically the Columbia, MO area.

I keep hearing on our local radio stations you can go to K-Santa and listen to Christmas music. I never checked it out yet, but I might in a couple more weeks.

THIS IS OFFICIALLY MY 100TH POST! I just wanted to thank everyone for adding the flair to their page and wondering if anyone has been able to use it as a conversation piece yet.
-
I see that it is now searchable. To me, its a great way to talk about gottadeal with my friends. Hope others out there do the same.

If you guys have facebook, I'm sure you've heard of pieces of flair. Its buttons you can post on a corkboard on your page. They can be pretty much anything. Anyways I was searching nd found NONE for Gottadeal. So I created one using their logo. Then I proceeded to send it to all my friends who use the application and sent them a note describing what Gottadeal was all about. Its a nice way to spread the word and get people more interested in Black Friday. I haven't seen it posted on there yet, but I think it takes a day or so to post. When it does just go to the application and search for Gotta Deal, ot gottadeal or gottadeal.com. After you add the flair send it to your friends and spread the good news about the site. So whos with me?

Me too, have to fix my printer first, but I will get some pix up. I really want a prize pack.

Not to get too excited, but if the numbers from previous years hold up, then we should see a Harbor Freight ad sometime this week, and maybe SEARS!
-
its not sad, we're just prioritizing all the deals we can get tomorrow and on Black Friday! :)

I did task #3 and here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/posted.php?id=501515309 I guess the link is right.

I think its a bit early for me, but anytime after November 1st is fine. I usually dont start until about a week before Thanksgiving. My only real problem is that theres not a lot of songs, just a million people singing the same 15 songs over and over again.
-
I remember when this happened last year. It was a major issue because it was leaked for about 2-3 weeks I think before they actually sent it out last year. The final ad wasn't too different then the first, but I guess they don't want to be the one whose ad is always leaked first.
-
I would very strongly consider this. I don't really need anything there, but seeing as I have 2 nephews and will have 2 nieces to shop for, once I see an ad, I'll make a decision. Parking won't be a problem this year as Circuit City was next door and nobody has moved into that building yet.

I only went to Target once at opening during BF, and it was a madhouse. I got the two things I wanted and was out in a flash, but I've never seen a store that packed. Earlier opening times might help since it will make people choose. Depending on the stock on hand, it might not matter since Target has two day deals as opposed to doorbusters.

I remember the second time I participated in Black Friday. One I'll never forget. I just got off work at 6 AM and since the town I was in only had Wal-Mart I went there. I bought a DVD/VCR combo (which lasted only a few months) some DVD's and a few other items. When I got home around 8 AM I ran into a close family friend. He was good buddies with my dad so I said hi to him and let them talk. A few hours later we got word that our family friend had a heart attack on his farm and passed away. I can't say for certain, but we may have been the last people he ever talked too. It still is a very bittersweet day for me, ad coupled with the fact that my grandfather passed away on Thanksgiving a few years earlier, Black Friday is the only real reason I celebrate Thanksgiving in the first place.

I bought online for the first time for BF last year and one of the places I shopped was Circuit City. I don't think that CC's absense will affect Best Buy as much as other factors (the economy, and how many people aren't shopping for TV's after the switchover to HD.) I think that there will be deals, but not to a point that as many people will get overly excited.

This is also in stores as well, but I guess you can't use the code in store.

I saw all seasons on sale for 18.99 each this week at target. Not bad, I have to catch up on seasons 4 and 5 also, but had to buy other stuff so I hope to be back later this week to get them.

I found Tropic Thunder for 14.95 with the 5.00 gift card. So in essence I got it for under 10 bucks.

I need more shoes!!! I'm going to have to call some friends of mine to buy some for me. What are the current prices for the shoes for those that live near a S&B. I live 3 hours or so from the closest one. -
Tell me about TIVO........
rockpzazz replied to alacazander's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
So I was ready about a Tivo a couple days ago and it sounded good until I saw a line that went like this: 80 hours of SDTV or 20 of HDTV So would that mean that after the switch in February I could only get 20 hours out of my Tivo? If so than this doens't sound too great of a deal. I think it was at Best Buy on sale this week.
