First of all, the kid's got taste. abcdistributing.com, ltdcommodities.com, and lakesidecollection.com (all relative companies) carry some nascar items. Not sure if you still have time to order from them though and get it in time for Christmas. This time of year they're backordered alot. I've gotten alot of Dale Jr items (brand new, original packaging) from ebay. My spare bedroom looks like a #8 shrine.

You're not going to like my answer, but.... (I'm trying to word it so it doesn't sound insensitive on my part) I was just thinking how generous your in-laws were to give you a cruise. Do you not get along with them? Or do you not want to go because you'd just rather be at home? (here's where I'm trying to NOT sound insensitive)... It sounds like you're set in your ways, and want things done your way (staying home every Christmas). What about your husband? Is he in favor of the cruise? I, personally, think it would be wonderful to be on a cruise with my family celebrating a holiday. (I think it would be wonderful to be with family no matter where you are or what you're doing). Christmas can happen whereever you are. And as far as explaining it to your child. What about celebrating Christmas early, like before the cruise. Tell her you made special arrangements with Santa to have her presents delivered early. Then celebrate Christmas on the cruise also. Take an extra suitcase with more "santa" presents in it. What kid wouldn't like to have an extra Christmas? If your husband is in favor of the cruise, why not just go along with it? I'm guessing he's done Christmas your way in the past. Then next year you can always tell him "no, we did it your way last year."

We've always had a very busy December Niece's b-day 1st BIL b-day 7th best friend b-day 7th My b-day 12th Sister and BIL anniversary 12th (they got married on my 1st b-day) My parents anniversary 14th (both have passed on now) nephew and niece-in-law anniversary 22nd grandma's b-day 31st (has passed on)

Plan ahead, and be prepared to get in line by at least 4-5pm Thursday. I believe others have mentioned that BB will pass out tickets in line around 4am or so on Friday morning. So as long as you have a ticket, there's no need to rush in and try to grab one. Just make sure you have a good place in line (I wouldn't chance being past 4th or 5th in line). I just bought a Dell laptop a few months ago, so that's no longer on my shopping list. Now I'm more in the market for one of those 50 inch TV's. Good luck to you though.

Mine is the 12th. Growing up I always heard "I'll just combine your b-day present with your Christmas present". Don't do that to a kid. You can do a party, just make sure it's nothing Christmas related (unless the child requests it). I've also heard of parents of December babies celebrating 1/2 birthdays in June. This way December birthday kids can also have birthday pool parties without turning blue. LOL

They are the same. They just merged a few months back. I ordered a few things from Lakeside and my shipping was much cheaper.

I used to go to Walgreens on Saturday nights just before the ad ended. If there was something on sale that has a limit, they always let me get it unlimited. Always came in handy when the bottles of Arizona Tea was on sale 2/99cents. I would always get a couple of cases.

We have a Walmart Supercenter in Boynton Beach that is always a little higher than the "old people" Walmart in Delray Beach. They're a matter of 6 or so miles apart. To my knowledge they don't price match the other one, I haven't tried though.

Ughhh, and she KNEW it wouldn't ring up right!! Was she just hoping you wouldn't notice?? I got some Halloween stuff at Walmart the other night that was 75% off, and I had to figure out the price for the cashier to ring it up because it was all ringing up at 50% off.

Ehh, I wasn't too worried about the Kmart ad. They don't usually have everything in stock that they advertise. And if they do it's VERY limited.

My nephew went to Disney in Florida for his honeymoon over Christmas. He said DONT DO IT!!! LOL (unless you like crowds) He said everyone on God's green earth is there at that time. LOL
