  1. Ya, I'm on the site at least 5 times a day, myself. Checking for ads, of course, but also just checking for new posts. I love following the conversations going on.
  2. I'm horrible about judging size or distance. That would be the woman in me, lol. BUT, I'd guess around 4 ft in diameter? These pics are bad, but I tried to crop them so that you could see the tree, and kind of in relation to standard stuff (like the window, or recliner). http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/DSC06632.jpghttp://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/IMG_1920.jpg
  3. I take Snickers salad to our family dinners (and get in trouble if I don't, lol), but I use cream cheese instead of pudding mix. I wonder what a difference it would make. I might have to try it that way, just to see.
  4. I was beginning to think you weren't playing this year .
  5. This candied snack mix always goes over well: Heat oven to 250° Combine into 9x13 pan and set aside: (1) 16 oz box of Quaker Oat Squares (honestly, I'm not sure they still make these. The last few times I've made it I've used Quaker Oatmeal Squares. Not the same thing, but they work fine)(2) cups pecans Combine in a microwavable bowl: 1/2 cup white corn syrup1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/4 cup margarineHeat on High 1.5 minutes, stir, and heat another 1.5 minutes. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp baking soda. Pour over cereal mix, and stir to coat. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Pour out over wax paper and separate to dry. **You can pour in to bowl, or leave in baking dish, but you need to be sure to stir and break apart pieces constantly or you'll have one big block of candied cereal.
  6. Twins, how fun! Congrats to you too!
  7. Yay to the winners! Congratulations. ILikeFree, that's awesome!
  8. We used to LOVE getting the wish book.

I do all of the ordering for my company, so I checked the websites of the office supply companies we use most often. Even with our preferred customer discounts, you're best price is Amazon. Looks like you're looking at around $150. https://www.amazon.com/Nakajima-WPT-150-Electronic-Typewriter/dp/B001D4CH9O/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1508864990&sr=8-7&keywords=typewriter
  10. They actually already had them loaded in carts around here. And, you're right, there are always a lot of people to help. Home Depot does Black Friday right .
  11. I went back and checked all the submissions from last year, and there were 7 that were turned in 10/25 or later. We have plenty of time . One does stand out as MIA, though. If she doesn't chime in soon I may PM her. I hope everything is okay with her and her family.
  12. The best Black Friday deal for the Xbox One, a few years ago, was through Microsoft.com itself. I don't know how long it had been out at that point, but if I remember correctly the deal was the same price other stores had it but they included a $60 Microsoft gift card and like 3 or 4 other games.
  13. I think we had several sign up last minute last year. I hope more come in. Here is what participation looked like the last few years: 2016 - SS 30, OE 15, Cards 12 2015 - SS 33, OE 16, Cards 11 2014 - SS 34, OE 19, Cards 12 2013 - SS 33, OE 19, Cards 13 2012 - SS 46, OE 28, Cards 21 2011 - SS 44, OE 33, Cards 27 Right now, we're sitting at 22, 10, and 6.
  14. Home Depot has had a nice tree on sale the last few years. 2 years ago, I bought my kids one on BF. Last year, I got one for myself. It's 7.5 foot, lights can change from multi color to solid white, $79.http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/GottaDeal-HomeDepot-BF2016%20tree.jpg
  15. I was thinking "Isn't it kind of early?". But then I looked at my calendar and OMG - October is almost over!!
  16. I can almost guarantee you they will not be starting the sale on Friday. Unfortunately.
  17. Great information! I didn't know about ordering add on items through Alexa.
  18. https://www.amazon.com/HECS-Human-Energy-Conceal-piece/dp/B01H616SME/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1508856411&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=HECS+SUIT&psc=1 For the hunter, or even outdoor photographer, that wants to get close. This suit supposedly blocks your human electromagnetic field, so the animals never know you're there. Sounds pretty gimicky, but I bought it. LOL http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/91xI6yuEjxL._SL1500_.jpg
  19. DS22 gets the new Call of Duty game for Christmas every year. This year's new game, I guess, is going back to old school weapons and such, and he's really excited about it. This week, he started playing the older (I'm talking the first couple) games to get geared up for the new one coming out. I told him that was his version of listening to Christmas music early. Anyway, I've almost always been able to find a good deal on the game around BF. I'm sure hoping that stays true this year.
  20. This is what I was going to say. Remember, Kohl's is the kind of store that doesn't always have the exact same items in stock. So, if it's gone it could be gone for good.
  21. I don't shop at Target very often, but I do have a Red Card and use Cartwheel occasionally. I had forgotten about those 50% off toy deals last year, we got some great deals on gifts for the grandkids.
  22. Just one more week to sign up.
  23. I'd say our must shop varies year to year, depending on the ads. But a favorite store, and one we always made it to, was Gordman's. Unfortunately, they closed their doors this year.
  24. The "GiftNow" is a neat idea, I guess. It seems to me it would take the awe out of getting the gift, though.
