My biggest Black Friday oops was at KB Toys. We (my sister and I) got to the mall super early, and there was no one else there in the parking lot. So we kept thinking, well, they'll open the doors soon. As it got closer and closer to time for the sale to start, I finally used my precious cell phone minutes (this was in the days of 60 minutes a month on a really good deal) to call. Turns out, there was not a KB Toys IN that mall. By the time we got to the bigger mall in OKC, there was no way we were getting in to KB Toys.

Ah, yes, Service Merchandise. I was actually thinking of them just the other day. I was shopping for a wedding gift, and SM was always the go to place for wedding/shower gifts .

I'm expecting $39, maybe $35 on BF, but man I would love to see it at $25.

I've shopped Woot, but I'm not sure what a Woot-off is. Wish I had caught that deal though.

backstory: My ds22 uses our (George Foreman TYPE) kitchen grill for making steaks and hamburgers. He's pretty good at it . SO, a couple years ago, Walmart had a (actual) George Foreman grill on sale on BF for like $10 or $15 (I don't remember for sure) and I thought that would be an awesome gift for him. Especially since he was talking about moving out at the time. We walked all over that store, that was the only thing left on my list that we hadn't been able to score. I check out, and I'm waiting for my sister to check out, when I see one in the bottom of a basket in the customer service area. So, I ask to make sure I'm not digging in someone's basket, and No, those are up for grabs because someone decided against them at the registers. I'm thrilled! I thought he would think that was so cool. He used it one time, and hated it. I don't remember why. It didn't heat right, or the plates didn't set right. Whatever. Anyway, it went in a garage sale or to Goodwill, and we still use the old off-brand one .

Yes, I believe so. We have echos, but I'm pretty sure the dot and the new devices have all the same features and skills.

I'm excited to see what they offer. I picked up some smart plugs on Prime Day, but I haven't actually used them yet. I know I will at Christmas.

I know people are still trickling back in to the Black Friday forums. We have just about 2 1/2 weeks to get everyone's information in.

I would totally pay someone to do that! I hate wrapping. My mom wraps as she goes, all year long. I cannot do that. I would be freaking out at Christmas time, afraid I didn't really wrap something but it got checked off the list, and I would end up unwrapping everything to check this list again. LOL. I usually pull out a folding table and set everything up in the living room, make some homemade cocoa, and turn on White Christmas to watch while I wrap.

My sister (and Black Friday partner of many years) has just informed me she has applied for a part time position at Walmart! WAL-FREAKING-MART! She can't work at Walmart! They will make her work on Black Friday. She can't work on Black Friday, she has to be with ME on Black Friday! I mean, I know she needs the money, especially with Christmas coming up, but right now I need to selfishly make this all about ME. What is she THINKING??

The Amazon devices have the new(ish) "drop in" feature, which enables you to do just that. I recently went to the app, while at work, thinking I had to set it up. Well, it's already set up, you just use it, so when I touched "drop in" from my phone and could hear someone moving around in my house, I called my son's name (I thought he was at work, and the house should have been empty). Totally freaked him out. I sure wish I could have been there to see the look on his face!

We played with all the kids one year. You wrap several small gifts (candy, money, whatever) in different layers in a big saran wrap ball. One person has the ball, while the person to their left rolls 2 dice. The person with the ball has until the dice person rolls doubles, to try to unwrap the saran wrap and get to the prizes. When we played, the kids had to wear gloves (maybe oven mitts, I'm not sure), which made it that much harder to unwrap. It got really loud, but the kids had a blast with it.
