I never knew they were able to turn that around. I was able to get mine for $135 with a 10% coupon at BB, and it came with 2 free games. That was last year's bundle. If it goes <$100, it could be a good deal to pick one up to mod it and stick it in an entertainment center.

They've talked about dropping the price to $120 in the past, but it's yet to be seen. MS says they are losing money on them at the current price of $150, so we'll see what happens. I think if the price drops, it will just be the stores clearing them out to make way for Xbox 360s once they are meeting the demand.

Sadly, I did not get to go last year. My wife and sister-in-law broke down at a toll-plaza in South Chicago, and I had to head down there to pick them up and get them here. Then, I went down again later to fix the van, and we drove it back home. What a day.

Have any of you considered getting a Visa or American Express Traveler's card, instead of carrying cash? It would be a whole lot more secure, and you wouldn't have to let people see that you are carrying a large amount of cash. Also, you pay for it with funds you already have, so you're not putting yourself into CC debt. I haven't done it, but it was a thought I had just now. Seems to make sense to me.

I just carry my driver's license and a CC. The first year I went, I dropped $60 at the register, and by the time I bent down to get it, it was gone.

The price of the Madden series usually hovers around $50 until after Christmas. You will find occassional sales like the one at Target on the game, so you can probably wait and get it at a similar price if you want to. I'm guessing it won't go under $35 until after Christmas, though.

It seems that most TRU sales make it onto Amazon / TRU site. Hopefully the same will be true on BF.

I have a Canon Elura 80, and I would like to capture the video by running from the Dv port on the camera to the firewire port on my PC. Anyone know where I can get a good cable at a decent price? The local B&M's seem to all sell the Monster cables and the knock off's, and they are all $30 or more, because of the gold connectors. What a rip-off.

Oh, don't get me wrong, he'll get some stuff he needs and I'll get him something special to commemorate his 1st Christmas, but I've already got a really good idea of what to get my wife, so she's top on my list this year. Can't post it here, since she register (but doesn't post ).
