  1. Mine was born on 8/19. If your name is Nate as well....ironic. Congrats to you!
  2. No budget here, either. I'll pretty much know what I'll be spending before BF, but it will depend on what deals are to be had.
  3. You've got to work on that Antioch girl.
  4. 1) How excited are you about this years Black Friday? I'm excited about finding the deals and passing them along. I'm not sure if I'll do any B&M shopping, yet. 2) What's on your shopping list? What items? ~30" LCD TV for home. Digital camera for my grandparents. Possibly a dash-mount GPS. 3) Parents, do you dread shopping for the hottest toys and/or video games? No, but he's only 3 weeks old, so I'm thinking he won't be too upset. 4) Do you bring anything to sit on while camping out at 2AM waiting for a store to open? I'm thinking about getting a collapseable lawn chair. I hadn't thought of camping out that long, unless the deal is killer. I've got some of those collapsible cloth chairs that came with a sling bag, so it could work if I wanted to deal with carrying it around the store. 5) What stores ads are you anxious to see? Circuit City, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, Radio Shack, and Target. You think Quizno's will have a BF sale for all the crazy shoppers? 6) We're currently at 5,898 members ... do you think we'll break 10,000 members by Christmas? Sure
  5. Is this a price mistake? edit: Nevermind - it's now out of stock.
  6. Hey SynthDude, I have my Bluetooth GPS system up for sale, if you are interested. Make an offer, if you want it. Stuff I have for sale
  7. The X51 is being released this month (it's rumored), so watch for great deals to clear out some X50v models by the end of the quarter, like sdible said. I believe October will end their quarter, so mid to late October would be a great time to keep your eyes open for a deal.
  8. I have a savings that I use entirely for Christmas gifts. That's where my BF money comes from. If it's a deal on something I know a family member would like, then I'll go out of my way on BF to get it. Sometimes my wife and I will buy a gift for the 2 of us from a BF sale. This will be the first time I'm using a forum for BF deals, and I'm excited to see what Brad has done. I wish I had joined a couple of months earlier...I'm sure I could have found some great deals for last Christmas.
  9. I think I'll stop at Radio Shack on my way home and see how the sizes compare.
  10. That is nice. I spend enough time sorting through the loose pieces in the front of my laptop case.
  11. I'm looking to pick up a wireless mouse for my laptop. I prefer the kinds that have the USB transmitter that doesn't have the cable running to the transmitter. So much for technical terms... Under $35 would be good, but I don't want a tiny mouse. I like the size of the Logitech MX500 I have on here, but I know I won't find that for a notebook mouse.
  12. If he's got his heart set on an iPod, then the nano is the way to go for him. If he quickly decides he doesn't want it anymore, the resale on it will be a lot better than a mini, also.
  13. Buy.com has a 512mb Crucial Drive for $35.99 shipped. It doesn't beat your price but as far as storage : price, it does.
  14. Start it on Dec 11, so it ends the 17th. That will probably be your best bet for selling at a price you like. Personally, I'll probably wait until next BF or post-Christmas to buy a 360, because they will have dropped to a much more reasonable price.
  15. For a BF deal, I would expect a 17" under $200 and a 19" at around $250 - $275. Actually, you may be able to get a Dell 1705FP by the end of Oct for around $200.
  16. There's that good 'ol American spirit. Go get 'em!
  17. I can't wait for BF. If the deals are signigicant, I'll bust my butt and work 10 extra hours M-W, so I can have Friday off. If I can get what I want online, then I'll just go into work and get my BF shopping done there.
  18. Edited: Nevermind...thought I saw in the manual that it prints the time, but that's on outgoing faxes.
  19. Do they have a laserjet or inkjet preference? If they can go laser, they will save on the ink costs over time, but have a bit pricier up-front cost.
  20. I know you said that they want 2 paper trays. How much incoming / outgoing usage does the machine get?
  21. My understanding was that the "Pro" paper is a heavier photo paper, like the stuff you get from photo processors. I'll pick up a small pack of the plus paper, and compare the two. Where did you find 960 sheets for $85?
  22. I'm looking for the best price on 4x6 sheets of Canon Photo Paper Pro. I'm willing to buy in bulk, if that's the way to save. Thanks!
  23. Is this camera any good? I'm thinking of getting something for my grandparent's soon. I'm a Canon guy, so I'm still looking for the A510 and A520 price drops, once these new models are out.
  24. Use the 40% off Inspiron coupon code, and get this deal for $693.60 + tax.
  25. From Dell Small Business: Dell Inspiron 2200 14.1" LCD 512MB Ram 40GB Hdd Dell 802.11b/g internal XP Pro MS Office Basic $897 I would call in, and speak to a rep, though. They will give you a price break if you haggle a bit, and usually bump you to free next day shipping, just to clinch the deal.
