You have to have a Lightscribe burner to be able to use them. They basically create an image on the front of the disc. They have a special coating on them to allow the burner to make the image. Basically it's a labeling system the is all done inside of your CV / DVD burner.

1 Year. Might I suggest that you look at Seagate (at the risk of not selling mine ). They come with a 5 year warranty and have been the most reliable drives I've ever owned.
