  1. You have to tape over the address and bar codes, so that wouldn't work too well.
  2. Does anyone know if there's a label sold that's got an adhesive label for the postage that you can print at USPS.com or through paypal? I have been doing more and more shipping that way and it would be convenient to have labels that I didn't have to tape all the time. The way that postage prints is on 1/2 the page (looking at it in landscape format) is the address label and the other half is the confirmation portion that the shipper hangs on to. The Avery 5126 are made for this, but you waste one label each time you use those services.

    Working on BF

I have in the past, and it didn't really bother me. My wife, on the other hand, has worked retail on those days and it's a nightmare. You think shoppers have stories, you should talk to those that work in those stores.
  4. Our list includes our parents, siblings, nephew (only one so far), BIL/SIL, and my grandparents (hers have passed away). There are only 2 Uncles that we buy gifts for, because we are close to them.
  5. You can find them in the BF 2005 forum. http://forums.gottadeal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 You can search that forum, but going to the advanced search and selecting only the Black Friday 2005 Archive forum. How to search the forums.
  6. Welcome (and welcome back) to GottaDeal! It's exciting to see the BF crowd coming back.
  7. Do you need an upgrade or the full product? Are you a student, because they do have a student edition that's reasonably priced. Have you considered using NVU? It's just as complete as Dreamweaver software, but it's 100% free. Welcome to GottaDeal! This is the right place to post, feel free to ask any questions you might have about forum usage in the Discuss GottaDeal.com Forum.
  8. I bring my MP3 player with me for entertainment. My hope is always that I'll not have to use it that much, because I'd rather talk to the people around me.
  9. I used to visit my wife there at lunch on BF when she used to work there. I tend to only go there when Timberland or Columbia have their clearance sales. That's usually around April / May.
  10. I just talked to a guy yesterday that buys 5 floor seats each year. They take one other couple and he leaves the one seat next to him open so that he doesn't get crowded in by someone during the whole show. I don't think that would be worth the $50 to me.
  11. If there's something I really want, I'll got to Best Buy, Circuit City, or Target first. After that, it's usually Kohl's, Menards, Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods, or cruising the mall. Hopefully there's a stop for a good meal in there, too. :)

    Cyber Monday...

Dells Fiscal year ends in the first week of Feb, so mid-late January is usually a great time to get a deal from Dell. Accordingly, their end of quarter sales are April, July, and Oct. What they have on sales and what quantity they are willing to sell at those prices is determined purely on their sales to day. They have financial objectives to meet, so if they need to boost notebooks, you'll see great deals on those. Same with desktops, servers, accessories...

    How many car loads?

One car load...and now I drive a Honda Civic. Actually, most of the stuff I'm looking for is personal electronics and sporting goods/clothes, so it doesn't take up a lot of room.

    Cyber Monday...

It was hype, and Apple was the biggest reason for it. Their Cyber Monday sale was nothing special, though.
  15. Usually, jeans (thermal pants under if it's really cold), hoodie, and coat. The coat goes to the car with one of our group shortly before the stores open. We also carry a few of those heat pouches to keep the fingers and toes alive. I think it was 3 or 4 years ago when it was nice and in the 60's/70's on BF. We waited in comfort for once.
  16. I hope to have it all by Christmas Eve. Last year I actually ordered something from Amazon on the 23rd and got it the 24th. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to get my grandparents and ended up getting them a photo printer.
  17. I really suck at wrapping gifts, so I either pay for in-store (or in-mall) gift wrapping or it gets done Christmas Eve night.
  18. I used to get a good chunk at the end of every year. I got a Christmas bonus, year-end bonus, and refund for not using the company's health insurance plan. All told, it usually ended up being around $3000. Now I work for a non-profit, so my Christmas bonus is enough to take my wife out for a nice dinner. I'm making more, though, so the lack of bonus money isn't a problem at all. We used to use the bonus money to take a chunk out of my school loans and then buy ourselves something nice.
  19. All the info you should need on that is in this thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=44592
  20. Thanks, I'll stop in on my way home tonight.
  21. Amazon.com is $.45 cheaper.
  22. The best shipped price I found was ZipZoomFly. $169.00 Shipped.
  23. Most of my family is in this area, so we'll be having dinner with one of them. I'm making the turkey, though. I'm going to smoke it this year, so that should be a lot of fun. If we have a lot of company, we may smoke one and fry one.
  24. I know that last year many of us contacted local new stations and told them about GottaDeal and the Black Friday features. Some reporters contacted Brad and I believe some just made mention of the website in their articles.
  25. Mine says Sept 22nd - Sept 23rd ship date. Not likely.
