  1. I take the circuit city and bb ads to walmart to get my dvd's. They pricematch, and have large quanitites, and most people are too busy with the sale items to worry about them. I have gotten many new releases for $8-10. Last year it was Robots and winn-dixie.. i remember getting lion king 2, beauty and the best, etc..
  2. I've never had a problem w/ eating or drinking on bf.. but we stood in line for 20 minutes yesterday at TG for Elmo... I had half a cup of coffee and thought I would explode... good thing I learned my lesson so early!
  3. agreed
  4. The amazon toy sale and the little tikes clearance have my kids set. My problem is that when I buy early, I just keep buying! We went to WM and TRU this morning, and looked things over.. then I came home and made a list of what I've already purchased. I've spent $110 and have over $600 worth of toys that will just get broken and thrown away.
  5. got 3 of 12 at target today! there were about 8 ppl fighting over them.. limit 2
  6. Me too! I'm going early in the morning to get elmo, would love to find other good deals!!!
  7. Did you put them in LAW? I was trying to figure out why he didn't panic when you loaded them into the car...
  8. My target has them, possible limit of one, opening at 8:00 am.. do you think there will be lines since the paper doesn't come out here until about 6?
  9. mmm40, you're not very far from me. I worked in Strafford for a long time. Are you still having problems w/ your mail?
  10. Wow! There are 3 within 45 miles of me.. funny thing is that I've never heard of it. And I have been to these towns several times. The little ATV's are a pretty good deal, but my husband works an affiliate of yamaha. We are getting the kids 12 volt ones for 41.00 each. They are only available in Canada, so this is sight unseen. They are supposed to look like a yamaha raptor.
  11. Our WM Supercenter is open all night, but we typically don't get there until about 3:00 am. We still have time to wander around and look at the pallets to get the layout and decide what will be the hottest items. And we're always at the front of each line. This town has a pop of about 15,000, but they are the only Walmart for 30 miles no matter which way you go. I just can't see standing in line on TG at WM... maybe it's worse in bigger cities!
  12. Wouldn't Wal-mart be smarter to leak it early, with higher prices, and then drop them at last minute? They did this last year with the black and white photocopied fliers that made it around. That way, we would know what was on the list, competitors would publish their prices to beat that, and they could go in and undercut prices with very little printing costs. This would largely increase the customer base.
  13. Congratulations!!!
  14. My son has one, my aunt and he have a 'train' room. That thing is huge!! she has bought every set to go with it. One place we have found the pieces cheap is at Gordman's. Also, our Walmart has some on clearance now. My DD2 plays with it now too. She bought the initial set on Amazon, it had several bonus items with it. (I think that was when TRU partnered w/ them though).
  15. yummy, yummy, yummy!!! Thanks guys!
  16. here we have pretty cold winters, you open up your pool around memorial day, and don't need to shut it down until late-september. Last July, I went to Walmart after pool chemicals. They had quit carrying them to put out fall things. BUT, the first week of January, they started moving the clearance over to put out the pool chemicals... 6 months before anyone could use them, and they take them out at peak season! So, Christmas in October doesn't bother me nearly as bad as that! Walmart is ruining the human race's perception of season!
  17. Remember, at christmas time, most probably buy for 30x as many people as they do for mother's day. A smaller gift for a mom or two, but when you figure you spend much more on the kids, plus all family, plus the mailman and teachers, it actually kind of evens back out.
  18. I heard that they were on rollback at Wal-mart for $44.00
  19. I want that too, but then I have to wish for someone to play with me... my hubby hates that stuff, and my 7 year old is very bright, but probably wouldn't excel at 80's trivia
  20. I wanna know if anyone else buys way too much stuff on bf, or for christmas in general. I am almost done w/ shopping already, because of the great online deals, but I will want to shop when it gets closer too. I know last year, I wrapped everything and stuck it in an empty 8x10 closet, and ran out of room. Christmas shopping is my compulsion, I cannot stop. This year, I actually wish there were more people on the list because of all the great things I've gotten.
  21. Name? Alicia Location? Southwest Missouri People going with you? husband and mother How long have you been shopping on BF? 8 years What is the one AD that you really want to see? Walmart What was that one item you sooo wanted to get, but couldn't get it on BF? I guess that was the first year they had the huge carebears. Don't worry, I got 3 the next year. Cheapest thing you ever bought on BF? probably the $3.00 DVDs Did you ever get anything for free on BF? Mom has bought breakfast, does that count?
  22. Here in MO, the temperature changes so much.. Average high 53, low 33 Records- high 74, low 11 Last year it was 15, with a windchill of about 3, the year before it was around 70. Ya never know around here!
  23. Feel like one? I am one!!
  24. I just want a couple of surprises... my husband always makes me pick out or get my own. Last year he did really well, he remembered (sort of) a few things I had shown him over the past few months. But I still woke up on Christmas morning w/o a stocking...
