  2. too bad they don't have kid sizes! Then I could buy DS and DH together
  3. this is true. It also voids your factory warranty (at least thats what they told me years ago) but the shop I went to has a lifetime warranty on their work

  14. don't suppose you know anyone with an Amazon Prime membership that would let you use it for some of the 1 & 2 $$ action figures...
  15. I am in the same boat as many of you, if I *need* something I've already bought it. If you are a family member and you need me to tell you what I like we're not really that close anyway, and a gift is not necessary. I buy gifts for the adults, because I like to buy, not because I feel an obligation to do so. I don't feel hurt if I don't get gifts. We are in the middle of Hannukah, and my kids have at least a gift a night from us, DH has at least 2 gifts a night (all but 2 are from me) and I had a few things. Hurts the kids feelings that I don't have a turn, but I have fun watching their reaction. my list this year : Convertible (preferably a little 2 seater) a new garage humidifiers - 3 - and filters for them! a 30-45" HD TV with a very wide base These are not things anyone asking for a list would pick up for me.
  16. what is a good price? we have a chain of auto accessories stores - Yipes Stripes - and I had them put in a remote car starter in 2000 for about $200. It still works fine, except my husband drives that car now, so I still have to go outside to start mine
  17. We delivered most of our teacher gifts yesterday (decided to give them all hanukkah gifts!) The kids did crafts for their teachers... ornaments and the like. DS colored and/or painted the 4 Star shaped wood boxes (michaels $1) and made a bracelet with beads, including letter beads spelling out their name. He just about made the beahvioral specialist cry!

  21. I've got to ask... Sonic Straws????
  22. While this is not a bad idea - a lot of what is described is pretty normal adolescent behavior... maybe "normal adolescence" includes one or more of these issues... Depression and Dyslexia are two entirely different issues.
  23. Ok, you are looking for something that reminds her she is loved - right? How about a something of the month club? Chocolate, wine, beer, flower, book, whatever she likes - they probably have an "of the month" club, so she will be reminded all year?
  24. too bad there is no "ignore" button in real life
  25. selling them to someone - anyone - other the gamestop will get you more cash. But it will take more effort...
