  1. the rules are the same at the holidays as any other time of the year. 1) No toys that make noise. 2) No guns. real, toy or otherwise. 3) no snakes (real) We have bakugan (on hiatus at the moment) and trading cards, moon sand has not been a problem - each time they use it I can sweep up more. We have an EZ bake, and the kids would love a snuggie - but couldn't you just sew a couple seams on a cheap fleece blanket? The big issue this year isn't what is banned but what is Santa going to bring ?!?!?! Last Year santa brought DD a cell phone (Mom said not till your 14, so DD *KNows* there is a santa...) and DS got a nintendo DS. well the cell phone is working out ok... the DS went through the wash..... Santa often brings things that mom and dad wouldn't buy... but what? (oh, and my kids only get 1 thing from santa soooooo.. that one has to be good!)

  4. I thought I saw some in the kmart ad? struck me as weird Kmart having them... maybe it was a dream.
  5. depends on the store. I think official policy is no, but many stores (esp high grossing) allow it within reason
  6. I don't think he will be upset over the lack of special effects and graphics. Go for it. especially for 30 bucks. be on the look out for the games at yard sales, salvation army, and such.
  7. I am not familiar with the Retro unit that plays both. DH has the real thing set up, and the kids love the N64. They like the SNES and NES, but they need more supervision and care. And, yes, tinkrbel, we have a 2600 hooked up, and are still getting new games for it on a regular basis.
  8. I know where I can get them - what would you consider to be a reasonable price? A good price? A great price?
  9. as summer is drawing to an end, what do you think is a good price for those folding chairs in a bag? how about with arms? how about the rocking versions? we need some, and I don't even have a clue as to price.
  10. ty. here is hoping that is still the price tonight....
  11. I haven't even logged into Bzz in months...
  12. I was worried - from the title - you were shopping online for the surgery - not because of it:shock: I don't suppose you have a friend or relative who is out of work or has free time that you trust to do your shopping for you?
  13. freecycle has had a few in past weeks around here...

  20. vermont has a state auction a couple times a year. I would NEVER buy a car from them if I wasn't a mechanic, or on very good terms with one....
