Ok, if it takes 4 days for me to get the game from my house to the distribution center, and an additional 4 days to get the next game from the center, that is 8 days I am paying for without the product. that is not acceptable to me given their prices.... Netflix - a similar service for a different media - is cheaper for 3 at a time than gamefly is for 2 at a time. It usually takes 1 day for them to get a movie back from me, and 2 days for them to send the next one.

netflix does not rent games. they are just much faster at shipping than Gamefly... so we compare... :)

we prioritize the stuff we want.... so we will be at Old Navy as soon as the mall opens... DH wants the games!

I figure the shipping time on the games is because we live so far from their distribution centers... compared with Netflix, Gamefly takes forever!

we got our PS3 netflix disc too... don't have a PS3... but we were thinking of picking one up, so DH is planning ahead!

we've bought games through them - usually on our friends membership account - had no problems with them not working or anything... we've had a couple trial memberships and will probably never pay, because the shipping time is absolutely atrocious.

we get ours at costco :)

He will need some basic things - hammer, mallet, wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. A Reciprocating saw would be great, too. As would power drill. A gift card to a plumbing supply store (Webbs is the one biggie in New England) would be a wonderful treat, as would work clothes... dickies or the likes... that can absorb some of the dirt and grease he will encounter. Steel toed work boots. Insulated clothes for the outside jobs (in cold weather) Eye protection - goggles. Work gloves. Hand sanitizer.

we always go to that Target when we pass through. I love it. I can't imagine going to wally world instead!

Johnny was joking, but minor league tickets are affordable, if they like sports. meals are wonderful. I'd skip the DVD player... 100$ in gas cards would be more useful... and as others said - presents are not what it is about. Obviously your boys already know that.

a wireless adapter. the one from them is big bucks. I got a Ethernet adapter thingie see discussion here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=156296 it was too far to have cable traipsing through the house. works great. signal is wonderful. If I ever get rid of the player I can still use the unit adapter thing as a router, repeater, etc....
