  1. if it is available on costco.com they'll ship, but you need a membership to order, I think...
  2. I was thinking chia pets
  3. Tradition - people watching - chance at a deal - time away from the house/kids ...
  4. TY! we ordered 3, with 1$ shipping it was less than 10 bucks! here's hoping it isn't canceled.
  5. 1. In your opinion, what store had the best Black Friday ad last year (2008) and why? Sears. It had the most hype, with the washer and dryer, but they failed to live up to their ad. 2. What would be your #1 piece of advice to someone totally new to Black Friday? Don’t count on the deals – if you get them wonderful, but don’t let it ruin the season if you miss out, don’t let the pressure get to you, have fun. 3. Besides offering great deals, what else can a store do to get you to shop there on BF? While free stuff is great, good organization is worth its weight in gold. Know what is available. Keep order in line, tickets are useful, don’t let the employees horde stuff. Early ad release, and online buying options make it more likely I will buy from their store.
  6. have you checked big lots?
  7. I won - I was not on a pass, I was just playing for free.
  8. gamestop has used games for sale....
  9. but how would they look with shorts and a t-shirt?
  10. I swore I would buy a membership when I won some cash. I won $50, 1st thing I did was buy a membership. Kids play on it too. I missed it when it was gone. hard to spend the cash tho. so I was super happy to be able to get a year from coke points!
  11. I second the plain with accents. Visit a craft store, pick up some sports, hannah, abllerina material for curtains, and pillows.
  12. costco?
  13. what kind of merchandise?
  14. we've never had a problem... half the time we are at different check out lines "racing" to see who can be done first...
  15. HD TV at a good enough deal to convince DH it is time to upgrade
  16. if you walk around the outside of college and HS fields, especially in the tall grass, you can find lots... DH and the kids do that a lot. we sent a bunch last time they gathered equip for the troops.
  17. we get the kids ones at the dollar store. they work fine for sa long as the kids remember where they put them
  18. I was looking to spend... oh... maybe up to $50 for something I liked... I was at the dollar store today, and we saw some dishes that looked like the ones on the sites above. I bought 8 plates, and six bowls. If they work out, great. If they suck, oh well. we are too far from most stores to look seriously :) thanks all
  19. no outlet. Xmas tree is an hour a way, but might be a fun drive :) Anything I should avoid?
  20. I'm starting to think about buying new dishes - we have NEVER had a new set of dishes, always pass me downs... anyways.... I'd like plates, and bowls, but do not need mugs or saucers. can deal with saucers, but no more mugs. we have a few plates that are slightly more inset than the normal dinner plate, almost quasi-bowl like... I like that. We have 2 kids, a DH who is not the most gentle, a dishwasher and a microwave, so they should be safe for all those things :) I looked around online at walmart, target, jc penney, and bed bath and beyond (oh, and amazon and overstock) and it is so overwhelming. help?
  21. lillian vernon has some display cases. DH asks for plastic display cases - as he collects autographed balls (and pucks... dang) he got a 12 pack last year for his birthday (or hanukkah) and was thrilled
  22. I bet he gets tons of copies as christmas presents!
