BF is an easy story for the media. Little research and they will always have a pool of people willing to talk. The election is over with and there are no really big news stories so the BF stores are a good time filler. I think all of the publicity which is good for this site I think is starting to have a negative impact on BF. For example I have noticed that the stores are being more aggressive in going after sites like this and stores like Best Buy have created price matching clauses to bar price matching on BF. This year I have had to do more research and come up with new tactics for BF.

I would plan on it unless they pass out tickets and then you will be safe.

Once you get your tickets then you will have to stand in line for each ticketed item. For example if you get a TV, laptop and desktop you will have to stand in 2 lines. One line for the laptop and desktop and the 2nd line for the TV. Items you will have to make a dash for is MP3 players, CDs, DVD, etc.

Welcome to the community! Your idea is a good one but it wont work. Alot of store including Best Buy have added price matching clauses into there return policies so it will prevent you from doing that. Also Best Buy closes there customer service counter on BF so they can use the counter to check out people. There are tons of threads on here about this. Wow. I did not know that took place. That is not right to load extras and making you pay for it.

When they give you the tickets the BB worker will tell you where to go to get your stuff. You will have to stand in line and when it is your turn you will pay for your stuff and they will give you your computers. They do not do any preps on the computers. They might try to sell you spy ware programs and stuff like that. They can be downloaded for free. Once you get home it is easy to set your computers up. All of it is plug and play. When you do get your system up and running I would run a Microsoft Update to update your system so it will be secure. If you have anymore questions just ask and welcome to the community!

On the front page of the ad scan it says they will have tickets. I would go back and talk to the manager. The employee does not know what she is talking about. I would not take her advice.

Welcome to the community! Last year they had a great financing promo the week of BF (Sun - Wed). What I did was but $2000 worth of gift cards and used the gift cards on BF. That way I got the special financing.

I think you have misunderstood. If you want the TV and you got a ticket for it then you have until 12 noon to pay for the TV. If you have not paid for it at 12 noon then the TV will be put on the sales floor. The free for all happens with other items that dont require a ticket. This can include the Norton software and or the Sandisk MP3 player to name a few. I hope this helps and good luck!

Welcome to the community! They give out tickets for items that they have a limited number of. In the past this has been TVs, desktops, and laptops. The items I just listed all have been doorbusters. With the monitors and other computers I cant for say for sure. If you are in doubt like I am I would call or visit your local BB and ask the manager. Good Luck!

If you are talking about the Westinghouse 32 inch HDTV I was told that they wont be shipped to the stores until the end of this week.

We do our homework and prepare. I only care about BB since it is my toy store and the stuff I get is for me! :)

The stores wont even have stuff put out for BF on the 19th. I know from a friend who is a manager at BB and he said the last truck most stores will get will be Tuesday or Wednesday of the week of BF. As far as selling tickets they might frown on that. You might run into legal trouble with scalping tickets and local laws. I would not put yourself out there in the radar like that.
