    Menards

Last year was awesome at my menards. I don't think it's worth camping out for though. My store open at 6am, or maybe it's 5am, don't recall. But I show up about 30-45 minutes before they open and I'm very close to the front. Doesn't mean all those people who wait in their cars till the end won't get in front of me...but anyway. Our store has balloons by the early bird specials, so you can see them all over the store! Plus last year I went to the very end cashier who was just standing there. I was out in 10 minutes with everything!! After I pulled out of my parking spot, I realized I shoudl have gone back in for more batteries, ugg.
  2. Mine has had that for a couple weeks now too. Ours has the stuff listed here as well as Nerf guns, remote controlled trucks, big lego buckets, the baby caterpillar ride on thing and Little People sets.
  3. Our kids get one (occassionally two) presents from Santa that are wrapped. The rest are from mom and dad. It was that way for me growing up, so I carried it on. My parents did it that way because with 4 kids, presents add up! If one year was tight, they can say mom and dad didn't have enough money to buy alot, you can't blame Santa for being broke, it makes more sense for mom and dad to be broke.
  4. Darn, I forgot to go back today! Oh well, or TRU is about 20 minutes away, the cost of gas vs the free playdoh, I probably saved money by not drivng over there.
  5. I got this in my email this morning. Going to head down with my TRU bucks and pick up some pokemon and playdoh. Weird it's only 2 days, not like 3 like before!
  6. Got mine yesterday. thanks for the reminder about the stylus, have to go do that!
  7. My husband got a job promotion, but he is now low man on totem pole, so unable to get anytime off during the holidays Which meant I would not be able to go out on BF this year. But good news (sorta), my inlaws (outlaws) are coming to visit for Thanksgiving this year. Which now means they will be able to stay home with my kids so I can go shopping!!! I just have to deal with them for a few days...but I get to go shopping!!!!!
  8. Thanks!! Got one to put away for my christmas present!
  9. No luck with me either. Thanks anyway!
  10. Maybe I'm reading what you wrote wrong...but when you adopt one, your acount is open for a year, say till 2008. When you adopt an aditional one in 2008, your account is now open till 2009. If you adopt multiple ones, they do no keep adding years to your account. If you adopt 5 on one day, you don't get 5 more years, it's one year. Adopt on Jan 1, 2007-account open till Jan 1, 2008 Adopt another on Feb 1, 2007-account open till Feb 1, 2008 Adopt 4 on March 1, 2007-account open till March 1, 2008. Maybe that doesn't even make sense, lol.
  11. Good luck finding them! They are already in stores and sold out!! I was able to have my local store that sells them hold two for me, so my boys are each getting one in their Easter baskets. But your best bet is to call all the stores around you, ask relatives to call stores! Stores I have heard are only getting in one shipment and the factory is out of any more. They are very rare ones!
  12. Update: Went in today and got a new membership for myself and told them I wanted to add my mom. Told them she was in Florida...didn't mention whether she was on vacation or leaving there. And they said she can just pick up her membership card the next time she stops at any Sam's club. Called my mom and she was surprised/happy I got her on my card. They had been talking about getting one, but hadn't yet. I'm betting she's gonna send me half the cost to cove it, but I hope not, it's kinda a delayed Christmas gift for her.
  13. My sister and I share a membership. We got it when she lived in our town. She never lived with us, but we were still able to get one to share. Now she lives out of state and we've renewed it for a couple years. This year she decides she doesn't want it anymore. My DH doesn't need the 2nd card, so wondering if I can get my mom on it with me? She lives out of state though. Not sure if I can buy one here and then she can go to her Sams to get her card? The rules state it has to be in the same household, but not sure how lax they are on it. I could say my mom goes to FL for the winter, or something?
  14. I bought a few other things, like a GBA game and I went with their "card" where you get extra 10% on trade in games and a year of their magazine and extra coupons and such. But the DS was $129.99 minus the $50, so $79.99 for a new DS lite. I don't remember what the deals were before Christmas, I recall the cheapest DS only was $99, but don't know about any bundles going on. But this was a good enough deal for me!
  15. Finally got to stop in today and see if they had any. My son has been wanting one, but we had been letting him play either mine or dads. Well I brought my SP in, just in case and sure enough the lady said the delivery guy just dropped them off. I even passed him in the mall, lol. She had pink and black lites. The deal would work on regular ones, but they didn't have any. My son still had b-day money left, but not enough for a new one. So what I'm ending up doing is giving him my old DS (teal regular one) and getting the DS pink lite one for me. I'm sure my younger son is going to want one as well, but hubby said he can have his, since he doesn't play it that much, and when he does the kids are in bed, or I'm not playing mine, so we can all kinda share them. Ugg, and to think at Christmas I told them over and over again they would not be getting a DS because they didn't need them. But I can't pass up a decent deal!
  16. I can see my pancackes will look nothing like the ones pictured! I can't figure how you would flip them?? I would love to buy one, but think it might end up in the unused kitchen items.
  17. I just picked up some book lights at the dollar store for the kids for our trip this weekend, but tried them out and they stink! So I went and ordered 2 of the cars booklights. They look to be a bit better. Had them in store (so says the website) and will pick them up later! Thanks!!
  18. You can find who sells them by you, check out the website and at the bottom there is a spot you can click on to imput your zip code and city and such. Just be aware when buying for presents, make sure the child has a computer they can get internet on! Seems silly this day and age, but we were going to buy one for my sons friend and didn't. We later found out he doesn't have internet at home, so would have been a big bummer, although cute toy.
  19. My brother got these for my kids last Christmas. I have 2 boys 8 & 6 and they love them!! Now, every neice and nephew has one, and also the parents have one, plus the grandparents! They are so darn addicting!! I play with mine more than my kids do, lol. Webkinz is the first and last thing I do everyday, how horrible is that!!! But seriously the best gift!! Plus they are pretty cheap, around $10 per animal. You do have to renew (aka buy a new pet and log it on) each year, but that's pretty cheap!!! So much stuff you can do with webkinz!!!
  20. Are they going to be giving out rainchecks?? Becuase I am sure if I am not there first thing tomorrow morning, the stuff will be gone in an hour or so! And who knows if they'll get more in before the sale is over.
