My son's b-day is Dec 31st, New Years Eve.

Is the Polar Express you listed the price for the DVD? Also does BB do price adjustments? I just bought it for $22.99 (gasp).

We use seperate paper and special gift tags and Santa presents are not wrapped until the very end. We don't want the kiddos finding those presents and seeing the paper. Although if they saw the paper, we could just re-wrap it.

We're getting our almost 6 year old DS a boy cabbage patch this year and he will be ESTATIC over it!! He has been sleeping/playing with my old one from the 80's. I can't believe our luck we found not only a boy, but he had soccer clothes on and our son started soccer this year. I know it will be a big hit! We've also been trying to find a similiar one (or any boy at this stage) for our almost 8 yo DS. He wants one too for his bed. But no luck finding any more boys. So I see nothing wrong with giving him one!

Best Buy also has cd's for certain games. My hubby just got one for GT$ for $9.99 and I found one for NFSU2 for $4.99.

Is this the one that just came out a week or so ago? I bought one of the new seasons for DH, but already wrapped it, and can't remember if this is the one or not.

No Marshalls here. I did find one store that carries them, but they only had green and he can't wear green with his work clothes. Ugg! I tried the couple bike stores and either don't carry them or out of stock. My DH has a couple Cannondale under shirts that are like the under armor, and they are just as expensive. I'm just gonna have to order online and get it over with!

They had Carlton ornaments for 50% off! We needed more for our tree (says the kids) so I was able to pick some "cool" ones up for cheap! Of course I'll hit the sales after Christmas, but this made them happier for now!

I haven't seen the Ark ay my TRU, but if yours does carry it, you should try and find the 20% they sent out a while ago. Although not sure if it is still vaild since it was sent out with the Big Toy book.

I'm specifically looking for the Under Armour Cold Gear Mock Turtleneck. All I can find it for is $49.99 online, plus shipping. I'm figuring these don't go on sale, since I know it is big with the military and sports. But hey, I can hope for a coupon code or something too!

You could probably get away with a less expensive one, but I think the little people might be too young for him after a short time. My son is 5 and we have done away with all the little people items as of this past summer. He has a big collection of Playmobil and I think it will last much longer (playwise) than other brands. Plus if he has other Playmobil pieces, they can all play together. I have a couple local stores that sell Playmobil and they run them on sale every so often. They just had 15% off, and their 20% off is not until Dec 22nd (or some date close to it). These are teacher/learning stores, maybe you have some in your area?? I think Playmobil (although costly) is well worth the money as it lasts forever and has a really good resale value too!

Nope, coupon has been changed to work only on the Jack Frost scent! There is a printable coupon in the Jan issue of Seventeen that you may be able to use on any scent at your local YC store though.

Isn't the reasoning behind layaway so you can get it at the sale price, but take longer to pay? I have only used it twice and that was becuase something was a great deal but I didn't have the money right then for it all, so I put it on layaway, paid the minimum and then came back every two weeks to make payments. I think it's a great idea for those who don't have the money to spend right then, but we're basically guaranteed the item at the sale price. Whether these people were putting them in layawy to sell on ebay, or for their family, oh well! These stores have layaway for a good reason and I'm glad they are there!

Menards was first on my list. Darn then having no roped off lines, so those people who waited nice and warm in their cars till 6am, got in as soon or earlier than use who waited in the cold for an hour! Pissed lots of people off! But I was in and out in 20 minutes and the squishy pillows were gone, the fleece blankets were almost all gone and the batteries I am sure did not last much longer! The cameras did not seem to be flying off the shelf though, but I might not have seen the right ones. Have no clue where the candles were but saw lots of people with them! One good thing Menards did was hang balloons on the shelves where the early morning deals were so you just had to look for them. I went back at 10:30 with my kids to pick up the Mickey car nightlight I forgot and I sure hope they restock their Saturday deals, cause most were gone. The popcorn no more, the gloves, drill bits, can't remember what else, but LOTS of empty spots!!

Not sure of the whole story, just the aftermath. Someone turing into our Kmart parking lot ended up with their car upside down in the median! The road has huge skid marks and car parts and a big spot where you can see the car ended up. No clue how it got upside down, or what. It knocked out power to quite a large area too! I didn't think Kmart had anything THAT worthwhile! P.S. just checked our local paper online and it was a 3 car accident. A mini van ended upside down, a big truck smashed it's front and not sure what other vehicle was involved. Ouch!
