  1. alltell should give you a better deal if you threaten to cancel. call and see what happens. otherwise, porting your phone number to another carrier should be easy. i've been with verizon for years now, and i'm not leaving, even if i do pay more than most people.
  2. dell outlet: http://www.dell.com/content/segmenter.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dfo
  3. please continue discussion in the original thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=96268 thread closed.
  4. some cashiers won't stack the CVS coupons, but they will take any manufacturer's coupon. (or at least, they should.) the ECB's stack indefinitely until the amount of the sale pre-tax is reached. in theory, if the cashier lets you do it, you can use the 10 off 50, then use the 5 off 30, then the 2 off 10, then you can use your manufacturer's coupons, THEN use your ECBs that you have earned on previous purchases if you have any.
  5. and any other coupons you may have for what you're buying, of course. just make sure you give it to them in the proper order or they may not deduct it correctly.
  6. the store manager can't do anything. you have to contact sears at a corporate level. i think most of the confusion is that in every state except RI, ads that are worded as the sears ad are perfectly acceptable and most people understand it as free AFTER MIR. that's the way i interpreted it. since RI has a law that states if it is advertised as free but only after MIR, the store is required to give the rebate right then and there. you can contact the store to see if you can still get the item, but you'd have a MUCH better shot at it if you contact their corporate offices. was the ad one you picked up in the store/in the paper or online in general without entering your zipcode? that could make a difference if they have a regional ad that was not meant for your state. you can also file with the attorney general's office. since RI is a small state, they'll probably get around to it much quicker than other states. i also fixed your link in the first post.
  7. you can play virtual console games with the classic controller. some of the virtual console games you can play with the wii remote, but the n64 games i believe require the classic controller (or the GC controller.) yes, GC games require the GC controllers.
  8. i just checked the aero website: http://www.aeropostale.com/home/index.jsp there is a link that says "win 100,000!!" so i checked it out but they want a code. so i'm assuming but not guaranteeing is that someone had spent 100.00 in the store to get the code, entered, and this was given to them once they entered the sweepstakes.
  9. you should always keep the receipt to prove you bought it and not off the back of a truck... that's what i believe anyways. they also need the date you purchased the item. the wii warranty i think is a year. my friend's wii was having continual disc read errors and she sent it back to nintendo in november. i'm fairly sure they got it more than 90 days before that. HARDWARE WARRANTY Nintendo of America Inc. ("Nintendo") warrants to the original purchaser that the hardware product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs during this warranty period, Nintendo or a NINTENDO AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER will repair the defective hardware product or component, free of charge. The original purchaser is entitled to this warranty only if the date of purchase is registered at point of sale or the consumer can demonstrate, to Nintendo's satisfaction, that the product was purchased within the last 12 months. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/manuals/warrantytext_eng.jsp
  10. uniden has always worked out great for me - i'm on my second one. i hardly ever use my landline, so that may have something to do with my phone life. vtech, on the other hand, is not a highly recommended brand. panasonic phones have worked well at my parents home.
  11. their pants run big, i think their shirts are minuscule, unless you like the super skin tight look.
  12. same here (west hollywood, CA target.) i went today because i don't know when i'll be back at target (it is no longer convenient for me to go before work) so i picked up boxes at 50% off, which i didn't really mind. not as many trees left though, so if you wanted to get a fake tree for next year, you should head out soon!
  13. if they are older, not as popular games, the trade-in value won't be as much. also, they have to open the games to make sure the game is inside the box. too many people try to return a box with some other CD/DVD inside to try to pass off as a sealed item if they have the sealing machine or access to a shrink wrap/sealing machine. you can speak to the manager, and see if they can give you the value before agreeing to trade-in the games to them so that you may have a chance to return them for the future. you might be able to fight for a little more trade-in value, but i'm not sure how much more you can get. there was no way you were going to get the retail price you paid for them. once we traded in a game a week after purchasing it, and i think they gave us half of the value, and of course they sold it as a "used" game for 5 dollars off retail since it was still fairly new.
  14. well it's not so bad because the "classic controllers" plug into the wii remote, so i just put the wiimote next to me and play with the classic controller. i haven't bought GC controllers because they're just... bulky for me. i really like the old classic SNES controllers. i think we've downloaded about 10 games. FINALLY they released super mario bros 3, so we've been playing that!
  15. i don't see it on this email i got: http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/c/tag/hBHcdHbAQfEXsBorwcnBn-kk1EK/doc.html?password=AQfEXsBn-kk1BHcdHbv09wbOR8Kd-h&[email protected]&i_addaddress=1&i_footer_new=0&CERTIFICATE_POINTS=&REWARDS_MEMID=%%REWARDS_MEMID%&i_newslheader_rewards=0&i_trouble=0&i_banner=2&i_yb3=0&i_yb1=0&i_yb2=&i_trouble2=&i_toc=0
  16. you will need internet access however, to download the updates for the system. there are wireless gamecube controllers that you MIGHT be able to find somewhere, but the regular (cabled) GC controllers plug into the back of the wii. wireless controllers are not a requirement - just nice so that you're not tethered to the system.
  17. zappos is great for their service. if you don't want them, you can return it back to them fairly easily.
  18. i received a catalog and i posted above it said january 3rd. unfortunately i think i tossed that catalog out so i can't double confirm the date.
  19. this is the technique we used when i worked at CC to take the UPC off for customers for rebates.
  20. i don't think an xbox counts as a "toy" since they categorize it under video game consoles/systems. i think this coupon is geared more towards the random toys they had in the stores for the holidays.
  21. i hit the mall at 515pm, 45 mins before they closed. managed to return one thing at macy's, and grabbed gift cards at AE and victoria's secret. it was fairly painless, and i found a parking spot right away.
  22. indeed.
  23. grocery store here is open til 5, CVS says they are open until 8. i suspect most of the jewish restaurants around here will be open.
  24. if i'm going tonight... it won't be until an hour before the mall closes.
  25. please continue discussion in this thread: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=95108&highlight=FINGERHUT.COM everyone please search before posting a new deal to see if anyone has previously posted it.
