Will the meal be fully ready when they get there? If not, then how about some cheese and crackers for them to munch on while talking or watching tv. Other than that I think it sounds good.

I have read several articles on nascar.com and other sites plus newspaper articles on the subject. I'm not a follower of Jr's so things may have changed, I'm not 100% sure, but I do know I have read several articles about. I can even remember talking about it with my brother who is a huge Jr fan after reading an article he had.

I bought my son the Braun Oral-B in toy story, it's just like the one with Buzz lightyear on the package from the link above. I can not find replacement heads anywhere anymore unless I want to buy just plain ones but then it wouldn't be toy story anymore since the head is the only piece with a picture on it.

Our kids 7,6, & 3 are really not into the expensive stuff yet so I usually pick toys off their lists that are about the same $$ amount and then buy them all the same number of gifts. EX: DS-6 loves the movie Cars so I got him the $20.00 lighting McQueen car, DD-7 wanted a doodle bear so I picked her up a $15.00 doodle bear and got an extra set of markers for $5.00 to put on the side of the box, DD-3 loves ponies so I picked up a Bratz Baby Big Pony for $19.00. I spent the same amount on all three and they all got a toy. Now for clothes we try to do the same thing but sometimes something will be on sale EX: we are getting all the kids two sets of pjs, well I found an awesome pj set that was priced at $12.99 the other day at Kmart for DD-3 which is what the other two got a set for and when I took it to the register it rang up for only $1.50. That just means I saved some money, we won't buy her another pj set to make up the price. Now when the kids get older and want more expensive stuff I will go with just a set dollar amount.

I have never known any child that has not been greedy at some point in their life. Hell some adults are still greedy. Kids have to be taught manners and all you can do is explain things to them when they make those comments. I really hate it when other adults make comments about kids when they know very well that their kid was the same way over something or other in their childhood. Some people just have no respect and think they have to right to comment on how you raise your own child. This isn't about being greedy but last weekend when we took our kids to see the new SC3 movie my son was in the restroom and when he came out the door hit a woman who was standing right in front of it well my son does not talk to strangers at all (it took him almost the full school year last year to finally say Hi to his teacher) so my husband said sorry to this woman and she just said "Why don't you teach your kids some manners!" When he told me this story I was so flaming mad she would have gotten an ear full if she said that to me or if he would have told me which lady it was.

Our kids write out a wish list that gets put in with their letters to santa and put in our Santa Mailbox. They also tell us things. DS-6 is only asking for a football over and over and over. DD-7 keeps asking for an amazing amanda or allison doll, and DD-3 wants a baby-a real baby! There are three family members who are going to have babies so she wants one too. I finally got her to understand that she can't have a real baby but I'm sure santa will bring her a baby doll. She is going to be so excited when she hears and sees the newest addition to the family-A baby girl born late last night!

We use a bow. I would love to get an angel or star but I just can't find one I really like. Maybe I'll find one when we go to Frankenmuth, MI next summer. I haven't been before but I hear they have everything you could ever want! My mom use to go every year when I was a teen.

A porcelain santa and sleigh with reindeer. It's a cream color with some maroon color to it and gold trim. It is so beautiful! DH and I got it the first year we were together.

No Amazing Allison is not a baby doll. She is the big sister to Amazing Amanda. They are the same size and everything but Allison looks more like a 6, 7 year old in how she is dressed and her long hair. My step-daughter started out wanting Amanda then switched to Allison about a week ago. The reviews on both dolls are horrible with the same problems. Okay, I went to Zapf Creations to look up this Love Me Chou Chou doll and it's not listed on their site so I did a search and found a link to where it should have been and Zapf website says Love Me Chou Chou is no longer available. I know our local walmart, target, and kmart stores do not have any of the chou chou dolls (I looked this past weekend) and I called toys r us today and they don't carry her anymore so I guess that one is out of the choices for me.

That's up to you. I think it was worth it for my daughter. She is the biggest dora fan and she uses her tv and dvd player every day to watch dora cartoons when she lays down to take a nap, during the news or just when ever she feels like slowing down for awhile to watch a cartoon or two (which doesn't happen very often but it's nice to have when she does).

We have a pre-lit tree that has fiber optic in it also. The pre-lit part is just white and green lights. I got it from Menards last year which was just a left over from the year before. I really like our tree but (everyone gonna shot me!) I actually miss putting the lights on the tree and the multi colored lights on the tree that dance to christmas music. When we have to get another tree I will go back to just a basic tree.

I bought one dora set last year. Both still work great and they are used everyday. This will be a special black friday item. You will have to wait until that day to pick it up. Last year there were a lot of them but most were gone by the time I left walmart.

I found rock-a-bye chou chou at our local toys r us this past weekend. I bought it for my 3 yr old daughter. I didn't see the love me chou chou, maybe I'll do some more research and exchange the dolls if love me is better. I also have a 7 yr old step-daughter who wants the amazing allison doll but I'm not going to get it with all the bad reviews. Would the talking chou chou be a good replacement or is there another doll out there close to it?

We took our kids to see it this past weekend and we all loved it. DH and I thought it was as good as the other two and can't wait to buy it on DVD.

Sorry but I think it's a load of bull. My company doesn't give me the day off, I have to take a vacation day. If those employees want to shop on BF take a vacation day and get your butt out and stand in the cold along with the rest of us BF shoppers.

I'm in the center of 4 different cities/towns and all of them take me 25-30 mintues to get to. I always do all my shopping in one city because it's the largest and has the most stores. To hit walmart first it's a 20-25 mintue drive depending on how fast I drive, then to hit the rest of the stores or the mall it's about a 30-40 minute drive and if I want to go to a different shopping center in the same city that has some different stores that is about a hour drive. Gotta love country living here also Spotted1!

Better get all your #8 stuff now, he is in talks to go to #3 next year since he is leaving DEI at the end of this season.

Hey, we just got one of these stores in our area! Most of their stuff is good buys but some of the smaller kids clothes I can buy cheaper else where. For as busy as our store is, I wouldn't want to go there on BF. The store here has been open for several months and still every saturday and sunday it takes like 1 to 1 1/2 hours get to thru the line to pay.
