  1. My guess is this - any company that uses GC, when we (customers) use it, GC gets a percentage of the sales total. I think GC has their own web site promoting their checkout feature (how easy it is, how it keeps your orders in one place, yadda yadda) along with a list of co's that use it (I haven't looked, so I may be wrong). It could be that, it could also be along with the above idea/guess - that GC gets co's to give up $10 here and there for better spots on Google results and/or on the GC web site. Just a guess. ETA: Or just read above..
  2. When I was her age, those magazines were 75% about boys, 25% about fashion/makeup. Girl's Life is a good one, but I forget what age it's aimed for. It probably says on their web site. What about a cute basket filled with accessories from Limited Too, then a gift card to a book store (like Barnes & Noble)?
  3. Big Lots is one big great deal. Well, not everything is a good deal, but most everything is cheaper vs. the same items at other stores. Just take your time. Our Big Lots tends to scatter a few things. Sure, there's a beauty section, food, etc. But I've found whole boxes full of one item in the wrong section (so not just a customer misplacing it). If you find a deal, grab it. When they are out, they're out. I've learned the hard way.
  4. When someone "bumps" a post, they are posting arbitrarily to bring it to the top of the forum.
  5. Oooh, your name really threw me for a loop - recognized the av but was so confused for a sec. Thank you! I'll have to hit there on the way back from TRU tomorrow me thinks.
  6. Thanks! After a lot of searching tonight, I came across a Starbucks gift basket. So I'm going to hit Starbucks tmo and see what I can find (maybe put together my own basket for them). They both love SBux, so I figure they'll love the basket. :)
  7. I too was thinking a GC to where you work, maybe in a mug with a thing of cocoa in it (you can get mugs at the dollar store).
  8. I have no idea what to get them. If it helps, they are in their late 30's, we'd like to spend up to $50. They have everything they need for their home (girlfriend just moved in, so they have more than they need for one home). I'm thinking of a gourmet gift basket.. any other ideas? Thanks!!
  9. I'll weigh in anyway.. I hate T Mobile, they royally screw*d me out of $50. In the end I went with Virgin Mobile, LOVE IT!
  10. I'll have to look again at the ad. I don't remember the Crayola deal. I'm thinking I'll get there half an hour to an hour early. I can always sit in my truck if no one is there yet I guess.
  11. As long as it has washer and dryer hookups and none of that "off site laundry facility" stuff, I'm in!
  12. Well, if you're going for the advertised deals in specific, how early are you getting there (how many minutes/hours pre-opening)? I really want to get the Cars DVD for $9.99, but I have no idea if I should show up half an hour early or..? I don't want to get out of bed any earlier than I have too.
  13. A friend of mine is giving his wife a CD. He cut a hole out of an old book and put it in there. It's a hardcover book, about 300 pages, so very heavy.
  14. OP, I suggest editing the first link to take out your email address at the end. http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/c/tag/hBFgjoKAFtjc1A2XywOA16Fioc7/doc.html?MEDIA_TAG5=100056704 Thanks!

ETA: There's quite a few other In Step items on sale for great prices: http://www.amazon.com/s.html/104-1268065-7075922?ie=UTF8&node=3375301&brand=InStep
  20. Columbia Sportswear runs true to size for both DH and myself. Cubeegirl - DH has a coat similar to that one now. He's had it for about 10 years. His has the outer shell, which is just a bit thicker than wind breaker. Then it has a detachable fleece like liner (thick) inside. We go up to the mountains where it's easily 10-20 degrees at any given time and he's warm in it. It really keeps the wind out, which is a huge plus.
  21. I had one of these when I was little. I LOVED it!!
  22. Yes, I rec'd the batteries fast and they lasted a good while just like batteries we buy in store. :)
  23. Sunny - Similar thing happened to me. Only I ordered one on Sierra Trading Post for $79 (over half off), and then found almost the exact same one at Amazon.com that night for $49! Columbia Sportswear makes amazing stuff, their coats are soooooo nice and warm.
  24. Updated OP again, found a ton more Columbia Sportswear stuff on sale today.
