Save 25% off Everything at DisneyShopping.com Through Sunday
alimfp replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
No. It went through LAST Sunday. There just isn't a date in the title. -
Wow. This is the one that shocked me the most.

Saving money? Yes or no? YES! LOL. Honestly, I think it is worth it. Many stores are not like the crazy Walmart's you see on the news the evening of BF, I promise. For whatever it's worth, I'm going out on BF for SOCKS. Yes, those things that keep your feet warm. Socks. That's it!
-
You know, you'll probably find great deals that aren't advertised of course. Also, you'll run across things you wouldn't think to buy for whatever reason, but they are such good deals - you swipe 'em up! It's worth it if it's not difficult for you to get out of the house. Being that you have childcare, I'd go for it!!

Apple.com had a "supposed" BF sale last year. It was nothing special at all, lemme tell ya. I wasn't shopping for anything, but I did checkout the site and was not impressed.

Socks. Yes, socks! Fred Meyer has all of their socks on half off every BF. So I stock up for our entire family for the next year. That's about all I can afford on a no income budget this year, lol!

Need the absolute lowest price on this TV, please.
alimfp replied to alimfp's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thank you both so much!! Ross, I am trying to find the cheapest $ for tax purposes. I have to find the cheapest and print out the page around the time I receive the TV, then submit it with our taxes next year (for a win, so I am not paying taxes on what the sponsor claims, which is $2799). :) -
For anyone that finds this thread later on and misses this deal, CH3999 will take 30% off until Dec. 21st! Thanks OP. :)

I love this store. It's a tad expensive, but the items are worth it usually. :)

DH has been welding for over 15 years. Ditto the above, you need to find out what kind of welding he will be doing first and foremost.

Regular everyday meal, nothing special.

x-mas gift for pregnant sister-in-law
alimfp replied to c_michiels's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
A coupon that she can redeem, where you will watch her first child, she can go get a massage (around $60 or so usually) and then her and DH can go out on a date afterwards? Just an idea. -
We put all presents in our closet. Now, our closet has no doors (it's kind of built into the wall, it's neat!). So I cover the boxes/bags with a blanket. BUT at this age, the kids don't go in our room at all without us. (They don't even go upstairs without us) And I keep a list of their presents.

Do you buy each kid the same # of gifts or spend the same $ on each?
alimfp replied to amyers12345's topic in 2006
I buy the same amount of gifts per child, usually. And I generally spend around the same amount on each one, but not because I plan it necessarily. -
You know what? I've never once had it. Not because I don't want too, because I've never come across it at most any event I've been too?! It doesn't look all that appetizing, but I wouldn't be against trying it.

Absolutely LOVE IT!!! I bake things to send to people (many online friends that I have addresses for), then for family get togethers. So there is many days of me baking. LOVE IT!
-
One lady on the news tonight said she spends around $300 per child, and she has FOUR kids. My jaw hit the floor. My kids get many things all year long from us and their Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. So really, my "only" spending $75 or so per child isn't so low compared to some.

I pick out the families and/or children that ask for items NEEDED - clothes, smaller toys, educational items, etc. If they ask for video games, that's usually a big no (though things like Leap Frog are worth the $$). We usually adopt 3 or 4 kids/families each year. DH's work puts up trees in each dept. I also go to the tree at the mall or the local grocery store.

1 gift from Santa, 2-3 gifts from us. It's how my parents did it, so that's how I began doing it.

I did last year, but this year BIL and future (I hope) SIL are going too. Not sure what we're having this year. I imagine turkey but MIL once cooked us up ham, so it may be ham (I hope not.. I want turkey!). I'm taking a fruit/veggie tray, baking cookies (chocolate chip) and taking a loaf of banana bread.
