  1. Oooh! I like that Karlie in black. When it gets to $150 they might have me, lol. I guess I'm the oddball. I'd rather buy less bags but good ones.
  2. I used the Medela Pump in Style for two babies and it was great. Medela makes nice pumps.
  3. Oh! I have a question that you may or may not know the answer to. I know about the newer policies for returns within the past couple years due to abuse. However, I'm wondering if we pay with our Costco Amex is there a warranty extension over manufacturer's warranty? I suppose that is a credit card question moreso than Costco but I really only use my Costco Amex to shop at Costco and for my gas.
  4. My Costco has cupcakes and they are GINORMOUS! I have never bought them, lol. I think I would want to eat them all!!!
  5. LOL. So your vote is obviously Costco? Mine is. I LOVE COSTCO! It is hands down my favorite B&M store. I get packs of rolls and freeze them up in batches appropriate for dinner every time I go. Our family is most recently hooked on their giant bag of organic tortilla chips for only $4.xx. I buy clothes, books, food, video games, and lots of other things there. My trip last week was $342. Oops.
  6. I replaced my gas water heater last summer. I went online when my 18 year old water heater was on its last leg and saw all of the horrific reviews for Lowe's, Sears, and Home Depot water heaters. They all had horrendous reviews! Needless to say, I bought mine directly from the supply house and had them refer me to a plumber. Not only did a get a great water heater, installed same day, but I saved about $400+ over the other quotes I had gotten. :)
  7. A great reason to freeze Experian reports. The only time you should really need it would be for a mortgage because they'll want to pull all 3. I don't see how they'll get away with this for long. The last day to get your own Experian FICO was 2/13/2009.
  8. That D-Ring tote is nice! It's leather, too. I found another bag I really liked and went to get it but then realized it's faux leather. Why does Wilsons Leather sell faux leather? LOL
  9. I bought a tv from Amazon and it was delivered to my front door. I think I read somewhere there is white glove service available for their tv deliveries but I'm not sure what exactly that means. I would definitely check.
  10. My ds7 wants one, lmao! He's such a marketing victim!
  11. DD18 months: Barbie My Size throne (that her sister got!) DD2.5: Colorforms or dd 18months' clipo's (everyone wanted everyone else's stuff, lol!) DS7: RC Tank, Hess Truck DS12: laptop (hand me down), camera
  12. When we were little my mom LOVED baby clothes and she was perpetually at Sears buying preemie baby clothes for our CPK's!!! :)
  13. I'm not sure that I spent quite as much from Amazon this year because their toy deals weren't up to par with last year's, but I definitely did my part! Amazon is my favorite online retailer. They even deliver my diapers, lol. I use the subscribe and save and it makes them cheaper than Costco. :)
  14. Newegg is a very legitimate site. :)
  15. Yes, refuse the shipment and they will credit you back. It may take up to 30 days but I've read that it usually takes much less. Amazon is pretty efficient. You may just want to call and let them know you'll be refusing it because it was not there in time. I read a post at Amazon the other day that people's Prime accounts were being cancelled for refusing too many shipments when that is what the reps tell them to do! I have a feeling this may be people who are refusing lots of shipments to make up for the new price adjustment policy, though.
  16. Oops. Can you send more here? I'm sorry that you're both having troubles with your SS's. I hope that you will both be rewarded for your waits!
  17. Oh, I was just reading through this thread and I know who your secret santa is! She is one of the sweetest GD people I know and I don't know if you tried the peanut butter balls but my kids are fighting to get them and my hubby had to stash the rest! They taste like peanut butter cups. I'm sorry your package got messed up in the mail.
  18. These names are great! I like The Butterscotch Incident and the Great Cat-tastrophe!
  19. As soon as I saw this post I couldn't help but remember the horse ordeal (and many others) from last year. I didn't even look at their deals this year. You'd think in this economy that companies would realize that they really need to work hard to please the customer. Many of us have already taken our shopping budgets elsewhere and I'm sure more will continue to do so if they don't show some significant improvement in a jiffy! I'm sorry that you're going through this and I hope your second kitty arrives in time. Like the others said, I would definitely start searching for a backup just in case.
  20. I still don't see how anyone could prove that a UPS man would do such a thing. Honestly, it just seems really ridiculous that someone who delivers packages for a living one do this with one box from Amazon and risk losing his job. I absolutely don't think the UPS man did this. I think there is another person who is being overlooked. Maybe someone is going around town doing it? People in hard times result to desperate measures. I wasn't there when he came into work so I didn't see how he acted but leaving packages is not unusual at all and signing for packages? Please! I'd have to be here all day every day. Some days more poor UPS man has to make 3 trips to my door with my packages. No way am I signing for all those things. I love my UPS man. I make him cookies because he deserves them. :)
