that has always been the rule at our house too. I only had to take back 1 gift and that was the first year I imposed that rule. It made a huge impression that DD now 18 shared quickly with her younger sister now 15. My mom would only shop at the mall cause they did free gift wrap!

I'm sorry that happened to you .. but at least they were honest with you and didn't leave you hanging. Hopefully you will be able to find what you need before Christmas.

When my kids were smaller, I would always wait until closer to the holiday to get their gifts as their wish list was constantly changing. I would make them write a letter to Santa right before Thanksgiving and then they knew that their list had already been sent. Now that they are older and their "toys" are more expensive - I just have to narrow them down. Picked up the collector edition of Beatles Rock Band for Wii over the weekend cause I had a Best Buy 10% off coupon and I didn't see that game going on sale any time soon. So - their one big gift has been purchased. For DD18 she is getting some movies I know she wants and an emergency road kit for her car (I know - boring - but necessary). For DD15 she'll be getting a new Virgin Mobile phone. I'm hoping Target will have one on sale BF weekend like they have in the past.

I normally get my cards when Target has them 90% off. I have a supply that I just keep adding to!

There are some reputable websites where you can buy older Hallmark ornaments. Normally they sell for the price on the box as they are the collector ones. I had to replace my daughters "first Christmas" ornament a few years ago - and I was happy being able to find the exact same ornament. Google retired hallmark ornaments and you should get a few hits. It might be more expensive then Ebay - but then you don't have to bid - you just buy.

I think the Clear channel radio stations do this.

thanks for the info about squaretrade ... I'll have to look into that. I bought a camera from Woot for DD17 and it was refurbished and only had a 90 day warranty. Of course, the camera was damaged 6 months later and I was SOL.

don't know if it matters to anyone - but it's refurbished. Check the warranty info!

I have the same problem with the Disney coupons when I go to Best Buy. The coupons won't scan for them and they have manually enter them.

fyi .. you can also get the $10 coupon online and print it off and take it to your local Best Buy, TRU or Walmart. www.snowwhiteoffer.com there is a another thread on this in the off-line forum.

when you go to the Big Lots website .. this coupon is on the front page with a link to join the program if you haven't already.

Best Buy has the 2 pack this week for $19.99.
