  1. What are other members' experiences with Datatelligence? In looking at my invitation history, it's either feast (four surveys/yr) or famine (one survey/yr). So far I haven't received a single invite in 2011, but I do recall Datatelligence surveys to be fun and are well compensated for.
  2. I received a "Happy Birthday" email from Resolution Research this morning. Not recalling the last time I was contacted by RR, I logged in to my account. I discovered that I have been a member of RR since 12/3/09 yet have never received a single survey invitation since my registration and have a "0 reward points" balance. Therefore, I decided to delete my account. I simply have no use for maintaining memberships in panels to which do not value my opinion enough to send me study invites on a semi-regular basis.
  3. I have been a member of SayNation for several years. I receive invites almost daily. Unfortunately, for more than 90% of all said invites, I do not qualify for the actual studies. In (January) 2010 I cashed out with $25 and this year (2011) with $20, so I do end up making something each year. If I place additional emphasis on the cost of my attempts to take a survey only to be disqualified, I just may have to withdraw from the SayNation Panel. Time = money; with SayNation, the return (money) for my time keeps getting smaller and smaller.
  4. I did pick up a Brother DCP-7040 from Office Depot in June. In finally getting around to setting it up, I discovered that it is incompatible with my 32-bit Windows XP computer. I intend to replace my computer (and possibly purchase a laptop as well) in the coming months, but I am waiting for the AMD Fusion APUs to come out. Any word on the release date for the Fusion series of desktops and laptops? AMD is being over secretive on its release date. Unless an outrageous deal on a 64-bit XP shows up or a Windows 7 computer is heavily discounted in the meantime, I will remain content with waiting for AMD to desire an income stream by flooding the Fusions onto the market; like my XP, they allegedly have the ability to remain viable for a decade after purchase.
  5. Bing is currently offering 20% off purchases at bestbuy.com, so I finally am going to pick up a Brother DCP-7040 MFC for under $170. By chance, does anyone know of a decent brand of replacement toners for this unit? Best Buy offers Brother brand toners for $53.99 - wow is that ever steep!
  6. Do Gamestop and other gaming stores still carry used gameboy games? Delicately used gb games (including their manuals) are hard to come by - especially Pokemon titles
  7. Thank you for pumping this model, Scott. This sounds like an excellent copier; and, no, color isn't necessary (I always heard that laser copiers were superior to inkjets, anyways). Now I'll just wait for a sale on the Brother DCP-7040 MFC (looks like I missed out on the Newegg promotion last week).
  8. I am in great need of a dependable copy machine that can be used in my residence. I have yet to see a consumer stand-alone copy machine for sale in the local stores; do they even exist? I really don't want to purchase an all-in-one printer/copier/scanner/fax unit - all I need is to make copies of legal papers several times a week. I used to make copies at the library, but they increased their per-page rate 50% in 2010. Any thoughts and/or suggestions from the gottadeal community are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  9. I am looking for cheap black pants for work. I usually get my clothes at thrift stores, but none have my size (around 31" x 32"). I used to be able to purchase used pants for under six dollars, now even if I find them they cost above $10 (including on eBay BEFORE shipping). Any ideas where else I can look for cheap pants? Discount chains charge $12 for pants when on sale - that's not a bargain.
  10. If you register your email at sears.com (or kmart.com), the first email sent includes a "$5 off $50 purchase") coupon for Sears (or Kmart) - either in-store or online. The coupon codes change weekly; always running from Sunday to the following Saturday.
  11. Can any Post cereal be used or only certain varieties in order to qualify for the $4 rebate? Finding a specially marked Post cereal box has been a challenge. I wish the rebate form was available online.
  12. This Sunday (12/6) is the last Friends & Family night for SEARS large appliance stores located in select Kmart stores for 2009. (Possibly for all SEARS stores also, but I cannot say for sure since no regular SEARS store exists near me.) If you use a SEARS card, you should be able to get a an outstanding deal on any appliance, especially on Kenmore models. Even if you don't use a SEARS card, all appliances will be on sale on Sunday.
  13. One day, two years ago, I recall seeing a billboard along the road advertising a certain website in which one could buy a $50 gift certificate to a variety of area businesses for $25. When I visited the page, which allowed for you to input a zip code and every business participating in the promotion within a set number of miles was revealed, a local, prominent restaurant was featured. I, however, have now totally forgotten the web address. I am hopeful that, perhaps, someone knows of a similar site and would share its link in this thread. The one such site I still remember - www.chartermainstreet.com/ - is not it. Thank you.
  14. Nintendo is a monopoly; not even WalMart would offer a deal on a Wii console + Wii Fit "bundle" that is more than perhaps $3 below its $340 ($250 (console) + $90 (Wii Fit)) current retail value. About the only solace in this discussion is that virtually every retailer is cram packed with consoles and Fit games to sell; they are no longer a burden to find.
  15. Seems very similar to the Acer Aspire ONE A150-1570 that retails for $349.99 and has favorable reviews on cnet (http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/acer-aspire-one-a150/4505-3121_7-33244475.html?tag=rnav). The only difference is whether one prefers blue or black.
