Good for you .. I walked out of my former life on 12/23/99 and never looked back. I'd say see if you have a Freecycle group where you live and post that you need everything to start your life over - everything is free. You will just need to drive to pick up whatever anyone is willing to give you. Also check Goodwill and other charity type stores for household goods. ITA that a pawn shop might be a good place to look for a TV, but know your prices before you shop.

there was an article in our paper yesterday that there's a company out there who makes GPS chips for displays for communities. I think they are doing it as a free service right now and they've been able to locate some stolen items.

The Best buy deal is only with AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.

these are the same people that were telling me that the price match guarantee was only valid for 24 hours within my purchase. They were NOT very accommodating. Oh well, I have pretty much stopped shopping at Target and this is one of the big reasons. I know that I won't be shopping there next BF at all if I need any electronics. The way my store does electronic sales is just plain stupid.

I have a friend who can't even put a wreath on her door. People come and steal the wreathes off the doors.

No, I didn't have it with me. I doubt the people at the desk would have price matched a bestbuy.com ad. They were not very pleasant.

I ordered one the last time and the shampoo leaked all over the other items. I gave them a call and since they couldn't reship me a new one, they gave me a full refund. The packaging on the other products was ruined, so I wasn't able to gift any of the items. But - great customer service!

I know that normally they do not honor their own website's prices. I don't if the holiday PM changes that or not. I know that if you tell the person on the phone that you cannot understand them because of their accent and ask to speak to someone in the USA, they have to transfer you. I was beyond frustrated since I knew the person was reading a script it seemed he wasn't listening to what I was saying, but trying to keep going back to a script. I emailed Target yesterday - no reply.

Yeah - I feel bad for anyone who tried to get the PM and didn't question them about it. Cause it seemed to me that they had told people in the past no.

Has anyone else tried this yet? My experience last night was a total NIGHTMARE!! We bought the 3DS on Black Friday and Best Buy has it priced lower by $20 this week. Took the page from the BB website the a photo of the item and the price to customer service. Said we wanted to do their Holiday Price Match. They had the poster right at customer service. The team member said she had to get a manager. She called someone over and he looked at me and said .. the PM is only valid within 24 hours of your purchase. My jaw must have hit the counter. I asked him to repeat it - he said you have 24 hours to find a lower price, and then we'll match it. I picked up the sign and said - please show me where it says that. He just shrugged his shoulders. I asked him if we could get Target guest services on the phone and he said sure. He picked up their phone, dialed the number for me and then WALKED OFF into the store and left me to try and get someone on the phone from Target. I don't know if it was because it was late - around 930pm, but I kept getting people in India who could only help me with Target.com. After about 3 different phone calls - I finally got someone on the phone who told me that she had never heard about the 24 hour rule and asked to put the Team Lead on the phone. She first person who helped me had to radio him to get him to come back. He then gets on the phone and starts arguing with the Target guest services person I was speaking with about how they are never given accurate information and that he hates how he gets different answers every time he calls them. He ended up doing the price adjustment - took me about 45 minutes to get back $20.00. I'll be emailing Target today to let them know about my experience in their store and with their 800 number last night. So frustrating!!!

I'd say a nice leather case. Maybe one that has a bluetooth keyboard. Also, if she is going to download a lot of movies, she might like the connector so that she can hook it up to a TV.

Went to use my Kohl's cash last night. Urghhhhh. I had one of those 15 or 25% off coupons. I spent over $100, so I got the 25% off. But they took the 25% off AFTER they applied the Kohl's cash. Just kind of ticked me off cause I had no idea they would not treat the Kohl's cash as CASH.

I like to make cookies in a jar .. it's not that expensive and you an normally find the jars at Goodwill or a 2nd hand type shop. My coworker has a SIL that loves to give them promotional giveaway type items as gifts. Stuff they got for free.

I saw those travel mugs at Kohls. They are really nice for $3.99!

I hit up VS on Sunday .. they got more of the totes in on Sunday .. for the first time, they let me stack coupons along with sales. The bras were BOGO 1/2 off, I was able to use my $10 off a bra coupon. The cashier said .. we were told to take every coupon that we are given. Wow ... It was like getting 1 of the bras for free cause I also had an Angel Reward. And I walked out with a Reward Card!

I only have a few things to return. It was one of those "buy it, if I don't want it return it" kind of shopping trips! Now if DD21 can actually decide what type of Beats headphones she really wants, my shopping will be finished!
