What ticks me off about this new promo is that all of these movies have been out for a while. Most of us enter the codes when we get the movie ...

Looking for a good deal on converse
AndreaInNC replied to lilquiet's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
You can also try DSW, they have Converse for about $45 - and depending on the style, you can sometimes find them in their clearance racks. I found some yesterday. Also found some on clearance at Journeys and Hot Topic. -
New cellphone share plans Verizon vs Att

Did you check Sprint? If you have smartphones, it is a great plan because it doesn't slow your speed down when you use alot of data (like the other companies do). -
it's a great place for electronic accessories. Need a cheap phone charger .. that is THE best place to go. They DO NOT do returns or exchanges unless their is something defective with the product. You can always ask if they will, and I've had luck that way, but the store policy is no.

Sprint I think is the only company that offers truly unlimited data plans. They do not slow you down once you reach a certain limit.

Thanks. I just happened to have 2 Disney movie codes to enter!

Beware of Ebay Craigs list for ticketed events. It is too easy to make copies of the tickets that are emailed and sell them to more than one person. I would want the old fashioned printed rectangle tickets!

another vote for StubHub.

We LIVE for quadruple fuel points! I will go in and buy gift cards for stores I know I shop at just to get the fuel points. The Kroger gas folks always laugh at us when we pull 2 cars up to the same pump because we have a $1.00 fuel discount.

Just got an email from Tuesday Morning. They have a special Sun, Mon & Tues on spinner luggage (not Samsonite though). Any piece for $69.99. My advise is to check out the warranty .. the BF set I had bought from Target came with a warranty, and I had to take them up on it. Unfortunately for me, since it was a BF special, the company couldn't replace it. Target game me my money back in the form of gift cards .. so I went back to square 1 to find a new set of luggage!

The way the airlines handle your bags now I wouldn't invest in anything new or expensive. They are not responsible for any damage that occurs to your wheels on your luggage. I have lost a few pieces of luggage that I PAID the airline to transport and they still ruined my bags! I only do carry on or take a piece that won't kill me to replace.

Prom dresses, good place to look?

We tried resale shops, but our had nothing. Nice thing about resale is that you know no one else will be wearing your same dress! -
Prom dresses, good place to look?
AndreaInNC replied to Stowasser's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
So we went prom dress shopping on Saturday (me and DD17). Started at Nordstrom's Rack - found a dress and she liked it. It was on sale (yeah) marked down to 82.xx (originally like $250). Since I knew it might not be there when we came back - went ahead and bought it since I knew we could return it. Next stop was David's Bridal. Found a dress she liked even better there. I had never shopped there before and I was in for a rude awakening! First you have to "check in" and be assigned a consultant - even for prom dresses. Wish I had been told that when we got there as we had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to open up. We pulled a few dresses off the rack - and she tried them on. I noticed while we were waiting they have a no return/no exchanges policy - for ANYTHING. So I didn't really want to buy a dress off the rack since it looked worn - asked if I could buy it online and was told that particular dress was in stores only. So I said it looks dirty and was told they could steam and press it for us. Asked if they would order us one and was told no - all their dresses are sold off the rack unless they don't have the size we need. And even if they ordered the dress they couldn't guarantee that it wasn't previously used as a "try on" dress. So I go to pay and we are asked if we had been given a scratch off coupon. No, but that saved me $20. Apparently our sales person is the one responsible for the steaming of the dress. This was 4/14 - the sales person looks at her calendar and tells us that we can pick up the dress on 4/25. It also needs to have the hook and eye sewed back on because it was coming off. Wow .. while they had some reasonably priced dresses (hers was $159 before the coupon) I was put off at the way they operate. Her prom is on 5/5, the dress needs to be hemmed (they wanted $30 to hem it), so I have to get it to a seemstress friend and hope she can fit that into her schedule. ugh .. I wish she would have just kept the one we got from Nordstroms .. oh well. So Jill - I'm right there with you in the hatred of this dress!! And this is before her friend calls her last night to tell her that she owes $90 for the limo .. WTH? -
